  • Welcome back to another episode of Jives Fishing! Today we headed back to Bedok Jetty for some day and night fishing. We were here to check out the beltfish season but also caught a variety of different species of fish ranging from groupers, queenfish, eels and even octopuses (not fish though)! We also did some jigging for baitfish like tamban and anchovies. Enjoy the video!

Please don't be mean like this, as a creator myself if I ever see such comments, it is extremely hurtful. You may think if people can get 10 kg fish then can talk, trust me it's not very hard to get a 10 kg fish in Singapore. There is no need to bully! Jives fishing is one of the most hardworking RUclipsrs in Singapore, I was legit there when they were filming this video the amount of hard work they put in to make one single video is unimaginable!!! They are some of the most talented anglers I know!!! Please do not be rude like this!!!

Thanks for watching our videos. 10kg fish is indeed hard to come by and our catches so far do not come near 10kg at all. However, our aim is to spread knowledge on sustainable fishing as well as to share our fishing adventures. We also believe that big or small, fishing should be a hobby to relax and enjoy. Cheers.

Wow I was actually gonna post a compliment about how generous and detailed Jives is about how to rig up and what bait he uses to catch his fish when i saw Hermittho ‘s post below. @Hermittho are you okay or not, you mean you actually prefer the other sg fishing you tubers who don’t show how they rig up their baits and only show themselves fighting and landing their fish? More like boasting what they catch and keeping lots of secrets? Those really frustrate me as a beginner fisho who wants to learn the important things like how to properly rig different baits and how to tie the different rigs. So in my opinion, this channel is one of the most rewarding fishing channels by local utuber. 10kg fish in Sg waters? Maybe only if u go offshore or land a huge stingray is this possible. Really, RUclips should have some kind of anti cock comments system implemented.

just a quick question... does belt fish have the ability to cut off ur leader clean... i have this burning question because there was this 1 time when i was fishing offshore, my leader got cut off clean and the captain mentioned that it might be a belt fish... just wondering if you have any experience on that.

Why didn't you use the live octopus as a bait? Double hook - one on side of head and one on the body. I know for sure it is an effective bait if it is a live squid, not sure if it works on live octopus though.

    • @JivesFishing

Dear keyboard warrior, i hope that you could try creating a content video showing us here how to catch a 10kg fish...as a content creator myself, i know the pain of creating one..
Planning, shooting, editing and posting..the pain is real..at the end of the day, fishing is just a sport. Size doesn’t matter, its the company of friends and fun that we have during fishing. Of coz it will be better when there is a catch as a bonus..
I’m sure that all your subscribers agree.
