I use it to charge my electric battery powered chainsaw, my ebike, laptop, phones and more. It has been working well to keep my devices going on this off grid property.

    Couple gripes came to mind. One about electric vs gas chainsaws. PG&E (electric company) has started more fires, burned more towns and killed more people than gas chainsaws so I find it ridiculous they shut down cutting with gas saws.
    Second, the issue I had with my name brand solar battery thing I used to run starnet in Alaska last summer was one, it was constantly raining so the solar didn’t do much and worse the dang battery pack would only charge 85 watts max even when plugged into a generator so it took forever to charge. Would have saved fuel had I just ran the generator when I needed starlink.
    Neither of those comments have anything to do with you are your video or the product in the video as I know nothing about it. Just complaining because sometimes the modern world can just be ridiculous! 👍🏼👍🏼

    • @kenbrown2808

      let me rephrase what you've said, so you can see the flaw in your logic: "banning gas chain saws during high risk weather has been working for the past 35 years, so we should stop doing it."
      and while we're at it, it should be pointed out that power companies are now shutting down high risk sections of their grid during high risk weather. which, for the average person, is a good reason to have a low maintenance backup power supply.
      and as for your generator conundrum: plug in your battery pack while you're running your generator to power starlink, and you will have better efficiency from the generator, and have the backup available for low power applications, while the generator isn't in use.

    • @dgoodman1484

      No flaw in my logic. I’ve never once seen a gas chainsaw start a fire. And we had close to a hundred guys working at times. I have however seen a battery run away any ignite. It’s basically a thermite grenade at that point and can’t be extinguished.

      Lumping chainsaws together with vehicles screams of desperation. But back to chainsaws, a certain level of competence is required to be a faller in the first place. If you are causing fires with yours left and right, well I’m not certain what to tell you.

      @kenbrown2808 День назад
