    My friend and I go detecting once a week, he has the EQ 600 and I bounce between the Deus II and the Manticore. He never finds anything but clad and the occasional junk ring while Im constantly pulling silver Mercs, Rosies, etc. Matter a fact this month has been the best I ever had since buying the Manticore 2 months ago. Last week I found a 14k gold chain with pendants and 2 days ago my first Barber Dime but he continues to get skunked with his 600. Im going to swap machines today with him to see if he just isnt adjusting it correctly or is the 6-7 yr old Tech of the 600 just obsolete. Minelab has discontinued any further support for it, there are so many better machines out there like the Xterra Elite, Triple Score, etc etc. Why would would anyone want to spend a lot of money in a machine that is 6-7 yrs old?

    so are you saying I should buy this my daughter wants to go metal detecting and the last time we did that was when she was 8 and she didn't really know what she was doing now at 14 I think she may like it a lot more and with this unit it seems to be very user friendly and a joy to use.

    • @ZRUSOutdoorsChannel
      @ZRUSOutdoorsChannel  Год назад

      It is an easy unit to start with and never really have to mess with any settings. However, the more she learns on it, she can dive into what she wants as her skill set grows with the machine. I hardly mess with much of the settings, but it’s nice to know that if I wanted to customize it, the option is there. It’s light weight. The display is easy to read in daylight and night time settings. The battery is rechargeable, so no need to buy batteries. It breaks down very easily and is solid when put back together. It’s an excellent unit

      I havnt responded to many comments in the last year. But I do appreciate one’s like this. So to explain. I have developed Macular degeneration I’m my shooting eye. It’s very disorienting, I’m essentially blind in that eye. It’s discouraging at best. I may or may not be back again due to the effort to pay off that RUclips has now created for small channels like mine. I check my comments everyday, just like I always have. But few bring me to respond like this one. Thank you for the encouraging thought to consider keeping this going. I’m happy people like you enjoy the work that I have done over the years.

    What about this Equinox 600 vs a Vanquish 440 or 540 would u still choose the 600 over a 440 or 540?

    • @ZRUSOutdoorsChannel
      @ZRUSOutdoorsChannel  Год назад

      I think the 440 and 540 are in a different class as opposed to the 600. They both seem like great detectors, but the 600 has more settings, rechargeable ion battery, and a better display. There’s no doubt that any one of these detectors will find stuff. It just depends on what you want from a detector. But yes. I’d go 600 right away. Unless I couldn’t afford to at the time and wanted a detector just to have one, then I’d get either the 440 or 540. Hope that helps

    • @gunnas1128
      @gunnas1128 Год назад

      @ZRUS Outdoors Channel here in Australia between the 440 and the 600 there's a 500 difference in the price tag hence why I was thinking for price per value vanquish still has multi-IQ. don't get me wrong 600 looks nice yes it has a few extras like waterproof, nice big screen, nice backlight for day/night, and bluetooth, but is it really worth the 500 extra
      Sorry for the little debate, lol. I'm wanting to buy a detector, but 500 extra is alot so for me 1000 price tag for a 600 is alot for a beginner over a 440 at 500 or do I try and save the extra 500 I don't know lol.

    • @ZRUSOutdoorsChannel
      @ZRUSOutdoorsChannel  Год назад

      @@gunnas1128 you are right for considering all thing that they have to offer per price. It’s just gonna come down to what you want in a detector. Like buying a car. Power locks and windows, heated seats are gonna cost you more. Is it necessary, no. But it’s nice to have :)

    It actually in multi frequency mode goes all way up to 40hz, unless your prospecting you don't really need a dedicated 20/40hz, it's currently on offer now £459 absolute bargain for a machine that does 90% of a 800

    Why is this Minelab better than the Garrett?

    • @ZRUSOutdoorsChannel
      @ZRUSOutdoorsChannel  Год назад

      it has a much better display, more functions, re-chargeable (disposable batteries get expensive over time) less chatter while targeting, updateable firmware, better backlighting, and is lighter.. Im sure there are other reasons. The AT pro isnt a bad unit. the equinox just seems to be more up to date.

      A little late but the Garrett is the best you can get. It's about $150 but well worth it. They are waterproof to ten feet and sensitivity settings in an audible and vibration mode. I've had mine for around four years and still works like new. Oh and it's an orange color that makes it easier to find when you inevitably walk off and leave it lying
