i really like how you move across the floor during the dance, incorporating various running man variations. i would love a tutorial for the all the different variations of running man and how to move across the floor while dancing
You made a great short recently that said dancing is an art, not a science so when I do this rocking, I mix up all the movements to whatever feels right in that moment. It also helps me feel less bored than if I was just reciting the same pre-planned steps each time
OMG I have literally spent the last couple weeks wondering how to do exactly this. Like “yeah I can do the running man and T-step but how the hell do shufflers flow around the room and cover all that space so smoothly” It’s so hard to figure out just from watching people do it full speed. It’s actually been getting me down and halted my progress. This video feels like it was literally sent from above. Freaky. Maybe you’re an angel Emylee 🤷♂️🥰 Thank you!
Not sure why this popped up in my recommendations BUT... Just some extra tips for people learning to rock cause people ask me all the time... (in Florida the majority of shufflers cut shapes unless you're in Miami BUT)... When rocking... Don't even think of it as a "T-Step." Think of each step as a pivot with each step and the main thing you need to learn is the balance of just going back and forth. I tell people all the time to imagine yourself on a ship rocking back and forth. Now, pretend YOU ARE that ship going back and forth as you're shuffling and the thing is "rocking" is all balance in my opinion... Once you learn and understand the balance of this "rocking" it becomes second nature. AFTER THAT, practice your backwards T-Step and add ALOT of glides. That's what will really add flavor to your shuffles! :)
Hello. My Daughter and I decided to learn to Shuffle together to spend some more quality time together. We started yesterday and I got the basic running man down, but I can't get up to speed yet. My legs just won't move fast enough. lol (6'2" 280lbs.) Subscribed to try and keep the dancing interesting with new moves with an active youtuber still answering comments/questions. Thanks for posting new/updated easy-to-follow tutorials!
Wow I've been struggling with my rocking and the using your shoulders and turning your back and facing at 45 degree angle to sway your body naturally are all game changers for me! Thank you so much for these tips Emylee!
I really love your videos! You open my eyes to so many techniques for example micro bouncing! I see so many hardstyle shufflers able to cover large areas but never knew how! Micro bouncing has helped me on this and I’m loving my style even more now!
it's crazy to me bc I love shuffling but I'm completely self taught, so I came to your videos for more tricks and found that I already know a lot!! obviously I don't know everything but you brought up an advanced switch and it was just the way I taught myself to switch!!!
I've been in a rut for a really long time and sort of gave up on shuffling, so really glad I saw this one! This is super helpful ;_; I know how to do certain moves, but I can't really seem to weave them together and I think this is just what I needed!
I love that watching this video I only got small little tips about specifics now rather than learning new things. It helps me see how far I've come! Still really appreciate the video. I learned to shuffle last year because of your tutorials!
Real MVP 💃 Love seeing the updated tips and growth. Hope recovery is swift and you're back to full form soon!! Miss rona gettin everyone out in these streets
Thank you for sharing - i've been seening the rocking more lately when I go out to shows and have been wanting to learn. Just picked it up from another video of yours on bouncing and just love this 2nd video as a supplementation to improve.
This is a great way to work out or if ur to board then close ur bed room doors and do it all by ur self with no distractions just do it to move ur feet u can do it by just ur socks or lots a people used shoes with socks
While watching your tutorial and got to the switch part, I didn't know how I was doing the switch,so I had to jump and to some T-steps to see what would come out automatically. Seems I never used the RM switch. Looks like I've always been doing the more advanced switch, which doesn't seem differently difficult that the other. When switching to the right, just before the switch my left foor goes back and beyond the right while the right begins to pivot. It looks more neo-swingishly :D But Emylee, you definetely patterned that rocking move. There was a video compilation with alot of shufflers and you were in it with some video of yours that was filmed in underground garage, so your face wasn't visible, but when I saw your dancing I said - "Yep, that's Emylee for sure"!
Hi Patricia!! As you like to dance, you can dance my choreographies of joyful and lively Brazilian songs. All my choreographies have their own step-by-step tutorial so you can learn them. Welcome and enjoy the samba!! 🥳🥳 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻
I got the cookies Em! They were delicious! Thanks! Jack and Susan apologize for Larry starting that pillow fight and breaking the lamp. I think Susan got carried away though because the pillow fight shouldn't have gotten that crazy! Susan was just smacking him around with the pillow like no tomorrow! She was just beating him like a rag doll! Do ya think she hates him??? Anyways, again, thanks for the cookies! Scrumptious. You're quite the Betty Crocker. Who knew! Update:
That is not rocking, but regardless, flawless style and super smooth. I've been shuffling for 11 years and even I learned something new, which is amazing.
Isnt it really weird that a lot of present day shufflers think this is rocking and just accept it? That they have no idea what rocking, rockers style, who they were, etc? It must have been some kind of telephone where one person misinterpreted it and that became the prevalent idea.
Bit of misinformation with the “Rocking Move”, starting with the term. The term ‘rocking’ or ‘rockers’ is just another terminology for shufflers/shuffling, mainly from the shufflers in Australia (the original shufflers). It’s their slang, so to speak, to describe the dance/dancers of shuffle rather than how they “looked” when dancing. The movement based patterns you provided, are nothing more than turning and emphasizing your shuffle for a more sharper look, rather than just shuffling left to right. It can also be done with the running man. Nothing wrong with what you showed, these are great patterns for beginners/intermediate shufflers to expand their shuffle. It is also not singular to one style of shuffling, since this is mostly seen in the “Rocker Style”, but has been shown in others like MAS, Cali, RUS and Hardstyle Shuffling. I’m happy to share more of this knowledge/information about shuffling that can be useful for you and others :)
@Emma Warfield Photography There's alot to delve into but the terms of "rocking" for shuffling is a different story and i explained quite well with my comment. Its a regional thing but it was never a "move" per se. People have viewed it as a move (not sure where or whom) and have continued this way with "teaching" a pattern thats good for beginners to advance with their shuffle. Yes, most moves have been either inspired by Jazz dances or those who have had their own movements for the music but as time passes on, most dont even bat an eye.
Is it possible that one day u dance good.....and the next day u just dont get it ryt anymore!!?? I have been learning shuffling for abt a year now and still cant get it ryt!!

Hahah I heard your prayers 😇
Yeah rocking is like the back round default move. Em does it so smooth.
Just sower the speed of the youtube video to 50 ot 25%. In that way you can get every move you like on each and every video.

Damn this is sick! The slowly flannel swagger makes it flawless
yess people don’t talk about reverse t stepping enough 👏🏻 it’s a game changer
2022 is the year of the reverse tstep 🙌🏼
@@EmyleeRatzlaff Essential one! One thing to mention is the switch point prior to reverse t-step which is actually a v-step.

When you come over again will you remember to bring the Tupperware you borrowed from the last potluck? Henry sends his regards.

What is going with door background . . too high & low , all good though
This is like salsa... Without the decades of technique for white people music.
