Thanks! If you want a GIF what I do is publish it online then screen record the area of the page. I throw the .mov clip into Ps and export out a high-quality GIF. You can also convert the .mov to a GIF with Adobe Express. That is the best workaround to get a gif from your InDesign work.

Save the recording as a .mov and then convert to a GIF using the Adobe Express converter. new.express.adobe.com/home/tools/convert-to-gif Unfortunately, there's no way to export it as a GIF from InDesign.
