You're always amazing in your videos, you're good at it, always something new to learn plus step by step guide, very clear. And your videos always ends with the harvest, you're really good. Thank you so much. I planted some sweet corn in containers at my backyard, and I'm following your guide step by step. I hope to plant more, they're beautiful to watch, nature is indeed sweet. Thank you, keep it up
I have just germinated corn from popcorn kernels as an experiment, and I have been researching how to grow corn. After watching a tonne of videos, this is the most useful. Im growing in an urban setting, and Im clueless at gardening. You told me so much useful information that other videos miss out. I didnt even know that corn is technically a grass, and requires nitrogen fertiliser. I also realise why so many people shoot at monkeys (not promoting it .. just saying). Thank you for the video
Popcorn is great for growing baby corn, for a stir fry. I pick the ears as soon as I see any silk emerge. Plant beans with your corn (along with a bean inoculant) to naturally increase your nitrogen levels: the beans will grow up the corn, like they're bean poles, while injecting nitrogen into the soil for the corn to grow better. Good luck!
I loved this video. I've learned so much from your videos on several different topics. I plan on growing corn this spring and I'm already looking through my seed catalog on which ones to get. I've always wondered how you can tell and now I know. Thank you for the very informative video. Very beautiful German shepherd I saw and I hope the monkeys 🐒 will not damage your garden anymore.

Hello man, first of all thank you for your video! Is the one that I am using to plant my first corn ever. Really good tutorial! I have one question if I may: you say "keep your crop well watered, weeded and fertilized and then you add proceed to put the vermi compost. How will I know that is time to add more compost to the earth? Or is it something that you do everyday? Thank you!
Wow. U give me encouragement to plant a different plant every time. The video is very nicely explained with photos and all. The dog and the monkey are just too good.
A new trick I have learned is to plant a whole corn in the soil..keep watered..and seeds sprout..it takes some work but you can get sprouts apart to plant in pots.. either compost rest or feed to chickens what I don't use.. thankyou for video🙏🙏
thanks i am doing this i think mine are growing slowly but they are in container. i think less sprouts are coming up than seeds, should i find the seeds that didnt sprout? also how do i know which sprouts are not as nice and to pull them so i dont get overcrowding?
Hi I had planted corn in my balcony after watching your video. It's been nearly 90 days but my plant doesn't seem to have fully grown like yours. There is not enough sunlight due to weather in Bangalore probably. Also one of the four plants in the same container is developing powdery brown substance on the inside of the leaves. How do I take care of this?
I have been growing my corn plant for 3 months now in a pot in my urban balcony. The tessel has developed and the yellow flowers have appeared. Do I need to manually pollinate the flowers for fruiting?
15-18 inch depth is good enough ...in a 3 gallon bucket 1 plant is enough and in a 5 gallon bucket we can grow 2 plants ....sow 3-4 seeds and once they are 6-8 inches tall ..remove/thin out weak ones
@@urbangardeningofficial and they were still Germany and make nice sweetcorn and you said only one plant in a 3 gallon bucket they germinate themselves in or how does that work? I know it come from the very top and usually sprinkles down.

How do you keep the squirrels away? I have so many in my yard I can’t count them. We have several rabbits too. I want them to go away. I been living in my new house for 2 years and haven’t planted a garden since I been there because of the animals and bugs. It’s woods/forest behind my house and everything lives there, I’m actually afraid of my yard. Harvest spiders are also a major issue. But with the pandemic going on I definitely want to plant this year.
Thank you for great sharing on how to plant using Pot. I believe I used a pot too deep and overcrowd my pot with close to 30 corn. I will choose the healthy ones and will separate at least 4-5 corn plants per pot. Thank you again.

They are wild animals they just play and search for food. It's not their fault. We also destroyed their natural habitat.
