You u tubers that live from the Midwest to the east coast have it so nice because you have unlimited places to go fish!!! Any blind man could catch fish, you make it sound like it's tough to catch fish you have no idea what tough fishing is!!!! Come to Arizona and show me what a good fisherman you are!!!
That's what I'm talking about mikey!loved the vid... just the scenery alone around TVA lakes gets me excited! Spots..smallies..largies..what else could you want?
It’s awesome to see how much you’ve grown. I’ll never forget the first video I watched of you catching a 10lber and you about fell out of the boat (like 8-9 years ago). You were in a little Jon boat and not your rockin it out bro. Keep you the solid work!
Great video as always. Got on a crazy bite 3 years ago in late February. Monsoon rain cold as hell. Caught 18 all over 4 and 5 lbs in 2 hours which are tanks on this lake. Never had a day like that since.
I got on a smallie topwater popper bite in my local creek a couple years ago and caught close to 30 smallies in 2 hours, it was nuts. Lasted from about 6pm to 8pm and then completely shut off the rest of the evening.
A few month's late seeing this. Great video as always. Got me a little excited finally seeing me beloved "Spots" on you channel. Downside you gave away a great pattern, lol.
Epic video bud!!! Last week i wasnt getting bit i knew where i was there was fish, i changed up and started throwin a 110 whopper ploppler 10 casts in i saw a few following my ploppler one short striked then i toss my jig in a 30 min period we caught a 6lber, 5 and a couple high 3s it was epic i swear that ploppler drew them in and fired em up tightlines bro keep up the good work!!!👊😀🎣🎣🎣
I caught my first buzzbait bass at around 8 years old. 5 lb. 8 oz! My dad had a 63lb 5 bass stringer off the SAME bait when Toledo Bend first opened. It was the original Lunker Lure. I still have a few of them. The new ones just don't run as true for some reason?🤷♂️ You have me so pumped up to fish again! I miss my boat.
I was geeking out like you in this vid a week ago. WI finally opened bass to year round catch and release bass starting 4/1. Lights out since! Best day I sat on anchor for 1.5 hours and got about 24 smallies on a jerkbait. Best five were 21.4. Don’t overlook a jerkbait this year Mikey. Hank won the classic on it. I’ve noticed over the years that certain baits trend certain years, even nationwide to an extent. This year looks jerky lol. Tight lines brother!!!!
About 2 weeks ago at Wedowee (lake Harris) we smoked spots on every secondary point we fished. You really need to try that lake if you like spots. At the end of May and first of June, I will be catching 3-4lbs spots at Weiss lake!! Love the videos bro
Dude, I love your dog! Your video is great, don't get me wrong, but checking out at your dog's reactions is gold! Lol! You have the best co-host. I hope you know it. Ok, I think I have to buy a new buzzbait now (it's cheaper than a dog).
Hey Mikey! Love the Topwater bite! It’s picking up here on Lanier as well, especially when those spring stripers nail it! It’s killing me that I can’t get on the water more! Wife’s staying on me bout getting more sod out down, but I keep telling her it’s Spring and fish are shallow!! Lol This spring I’ve been killing them on zman bugz on ewg Ned head. Baits so small they can’t help but suck it up!!
Last spring (late spring June 15th) I got on a whopper plopper and frog bite in a club tournament and had around 21 lbs. The lake I was fishing (Stonewall Jackson) in West Virginia has an only one fish in a person's possession over 18" law. I had one that was 6 1/2 lbs and had to throw back two over 20" that day. I'd share a few pics if I could figure out how to. Great job on the videos. I really enjoy them!
I caught about 35 in one hour on West Point lake with an under spin with a white swimbait trailer, most of them 2lbs or more, in about a hundred yard stretch. 70 pounds of all spotted bass, best day ever on West Point.
You will be so spoiled now. You’ll expect that to happen time after time and then comes the let down. Great vid. Love to see you so stoked. Stay safe. Hey Bog.
There's not a bass angler in tha world that's not envious of this bite!! I got on an epic swim jig bite back in tha beginning of March that was crazy ..wasnt catching alot of big uns only a few 3s but mostly quality 2s but it just seems like every cast for about 2 hours on a White swim jig with a white Zoom Ultra Vibe speed craw trailer!
I usually chase bass but got on a pattern burning a spinner bait crushing pike it was kinda crazy. Fast reel and just cranking in as fast as possible and they were just straight crushing it
Go to Lake Mitchell on the coosa in January and February and you'll see Magnum Spots they're 16 inches long and weigh 5lb or more. Smith has longer ones but the coosa has true Mags
Hey Mikey, just curious, do you normally run a buzzbait without a trailer or did you just do it this time because it was a finesse buzzbait? Great vid btw!
Best topwater day I had was last September in upstate NY in a secret spot we go to every year, the evening bite at this spot is epic! Throwing a sprinker frog and caught a 4lb LMB every cast for 2 hours. I think I also caught my PB (maybe 6lb) but got him in the kayak and the frog popped out and he flopped out of the kayak before I could get a hand on it and weigh it. Buddy said it sounded like I was wrestling a dog. It was such an epic day and can't wait to get back there again this fall.
Wow those were nice thanks for the tip on tuning the buzzbait . Looking at the cmap u use just got a Lowrance hook2 9 triple shot for my kayak how can you find out if the Lake's you want to fish are on it I'm in East Tennessee (Watts Bar, Melton Hill, and Norris thanks as always day hey to bog 😁🐟
Oh Mr. Wheeler might have a pretty good Buzz Bait. But he dont have Bog! Hey Mr. Bog!!! Mike: Look out Bog. Chillout. Bog: CHILLOUT!?! But there are lickable's in the live well dude!!! Silly human. LOL! Days like that as fisherman are awesome. 2years ago this May I got on a bite like that with a black and silver 3 1/2" 2 hook Rapala original floater. I caught over 40 large mouth at my home lake. (Lake Wylie NC/SC) They were from a pound and a half to several over 4. Thing is I was using 6lb mono. They wouldn't even look at it if the line was above 6. Because after that first 4 I switched to 8lb and I didn't catch anything for the 30 minutes I used it. Soon as I went back to 6 within 5 cast it's was back on again. They would come under it from out of nowhere and stop on a dime under it and just stare at it. As soon as it made the slightest and I mean the very slightest of moves it would be like cement blocks being dropped in the water. It was an amazing day. Seems like a life time ago. Because I've not had another one like it since. I tried every weekend in May last year duplicate it. But it didn't happen. I'lltry again starting in a couple of weeks. Hopefully I'll get lucky. Great vid dude. High 5 Bog for me. Tight Lines dude.
Man I sure do love top water lures! Keep wearing them out! Your channel is a great inspiration for mine! Could you let me know what you think of my channel?
Bro last spring I dropped 15 lbs on ft Loudoun with a flat side squarebill, literally running it over a subtle ditch right outside a creek. Like hooked up almost every cast
man Mikey I might have found a product that I truly think has a chance to make a huge change in the industry. its still super early in the season up here in MA and the water in still real cold but the Jerkbait bite has been on fire for me. 25 bass over 2 pounds in 12 trips with water temps between 43-48 and gale force winds every day. Now this product im talking about is from this company Crank Wraps. They make 3d scanned stickers of bait fish to stick on your baits. the sticky material on the wraps are outrageously durable. Now this is how this could change this industry. everyone of those fish was caught on an 80 cent Jerkbait blank with a $2.50 crank wrap so why would I ever buy a $25 Jerkbait? until now there was basically no reason to buy lure blanks because you still had to find a way to get them painted but not anymore. plus now the guessing game is over as far as what color to throw! find out what the bass are feeding on in your pond/lake and they will have something for you. yellow perch, shad, trout, bluegill, black and white crappie as well as some more outside the box patterns. 25 bass on the same perch wrap and its still in perfect shape! they also have crank bait, topwater, blade, spoon, glidebait and lipless wraps. if ppl start to catch on to this and start buying blanks and wraps instead of buying expensive baits from the big companies they might have to make a change in their prices.
Grey hunter awesome ? I noticed the same thing and was like WTF is he doing? What do I know it works lol. I'm in KC Missouri and they just don't hit it in the Midwest without a trailer for whatever reason.
You straight smashed them!! Good seeing up around these parts. 👊🏼
Thanks dude and thanks for putting that micro buzzbait out there!
I love it when the bass tell me what I was supposed to be thinking about and not what I was actually thinking about!
Boggers getting his licks in on the release as usual😄 Superb video Mike Excellent👌
I enjoyed watching you catch those spotted basses. Your enthusiasm is infectious! You have a great fishing companion in that dog too.
That looked so fun! Great break down on the pattern too!
That's what I'm talking about mikey!loved the vid... just the scenery alone around TVA lakes gets me excited! Spots..smallies..largies..what else could you want?

Love them spots. Caught em in a small creek up to 3 1/2 pounds on a small spinnerbait. I use a Cavitron Buzzbait similar to the Wheeler one
That is insane, like a dream. Glad you got a video of it.!!!!
Spots hitting topwater is one of the most fun bites you can have. Awesome video
Mike all this happening in the country it does my heart good to see you out there enjoying yourself and pulling in big ones Keep On Keepin On brother
Great video as always. Got on a crazy bite 3 years ago in late February. Monsoon rain cold as hell. Caught 18 all over 4 and 5 lbs in 2 hours which are tanks on this lake. Never had a day like that since.
I still have to admit Bog is the ultimate cameo in all of your videos straight up bruh💯
Great vid Mikey, Thanks for keeping us sane during these crazy times. 👍
Wow!!! great day!! great video! great job Bog!! Tight lines sir!
I got on a smallie topwater popper bite in my local creek a couple years ago and caught close to 30 smallies in 2 hours, it was nuts. Lasted from about 6pm to 8pm and then completely shut off the rest of the evening.
Loved the video! Those spots were beauties and I absolutely enjoyed your enthusiasm. Keep em coming!
A few month's late seeing this. Great video as always. Got me a little excited finally seeing me beloved "Spots" on you channel. Downside you gave away a great pattern, lol.
The finesse ones are fire with a toad on it. Never had an epic day like that though, that was awesome.
We smashed the smallies and some largies early spring on a 1/16 and 1/8 oz black marabou jig! Epic video bro! 🤘🏼
Epic video bud!!! Last week i wasnt getting bit i knew where i was there was fish, i changed up and started throwin a 110 whopper ploppler 10 casts in i saw a few following my ploppler one short striked then i toss my jig in a 30 min period we caught a 6lber, 5 and a couple high 3s it was epic i swear that ploppler drew them in and fired em up tightlines bro keep up the good work!!!👊😀🎣🎣🎣
I like that new intro music dude.
thanks man - got a little chill with it and mixed it up. appreciate you noticing!
And I appreciate all of the great content brother.
My buddies and I got onto a gnarly rock crawler and shad rap bite last spring in Tennessee. This year we were wearing them out on spinner baits!
I caught my first buzzbait bass at around 8 years old. 5 lb. 8 oz! My dad had a 63lb 5 bass stringer off the SAME bait when Toledo Bend first opened. It was the original Lunker Lure. Giant swim bait bite last spring banged my all my biggest fish all in the same week
Was surprised last year by getting hits on a Whopper Plopper for about a month. After that, it was like a switch turned them off. Excellent video.
About 2 weeks ago at Wedowee (lake Harris) we smoked spots on every secondary point we fished. You really need to try that lake if you like spots. At the end of May and first of June, I will be catching 3-4lbs spots at Weiss lake!! Love the videos bro

props that sounds like an epic day!!! thanks for checking out the vids!
Nothing beats an aggressive top water pattern
I caught about 35 in one hour on West Point lake with an under spin with a white swimbait trailer, most of them 2lbs or more, in about a hundred yard stretch. 70 pounds of all spotted bass, best day ever on West Point.
After watching your slx video, I decided to get me a slx xt and receive it few days ago . Really love the reel and cast a mile
You will be so spoiled now. You’ll expect that to happen time after time and then comes the let down. Great vid. Love to see you so stoked. Stay safe. Hey Bog.
I got on an Insane cranking bite in ND early this spring, I had 26.5 lbs for 5.
I freaking love Bog, dude!

Spot-o-podomus!!!! Great stuff!!
There's not a bass angler in tha world that's not envious of this bite!! Drop shot last spring was epic and it was my 3time using the rig
Hey Mikey, just curious, do you normally run a buzzbait without a trailer or did you just do it this time because it was a finesse buzzbait? Great vid btw!
Your excitement makes my day. TIght lines brother.

Nice Job man!! Keep up the drive.
I run that same pattern the other day on smith and there's some good largemouth in there too
Epic Spot Smackdown, Mikey🤙🏻
It’s the funniest thing when your dog is laying down and you set the hook and he’s instantly up he must know the sound
Oh yea! Lol!
Wow those were nice thanks for the tip on tuning the buzzbait . Looking at the cmap u use just got a Lowrance hook2 9 triple shot for my kayak how can you find out if the Lake's you want to fish are on it I'm in East Tennessee (Watts Bar, Melton Hill, and Norris thanks as always day hey to bog 😁🐟
everyone prolly knows already, but methinks the creek is dumping in warmer water, so attracting the herring & thus bass?
That was an amazing bite great video
Five thumbs up!!! Excellent video, dude!!!
Saw where you fished with Salzy today, look forward to that video.
I like your chest mounted go pro. Seems like I'm right there.
Top water and swim jigs just below the surface!
great tip Mike !
Dang son... What a day, I think you found the pattern!!
You need to get some of them boogerman buzz baits
Man I sure do love top water lures! Keep wearing them out! Your channel is a great inspiration for mine! Could you let me know what you think of my channel?
Great fishing vid !!
💪💪👍👍😁🤙✌
Super day on the water!!!
Can you tell me why you dont add à trailer to your buzzbait and when you add one? Great vid dude👍🏻
I don't a trailer either. less short strikes I believe. I only use a trailer if im struggling to get bit without 1.
I only use a rage menace grub to match sometimes. Most of the time no trailer.
Bro last spring I dropped 15 lbs on ft Loudoun with a flat side squarebill, literally running it over a subtle ditch right outside a creek. Like hooked up almost every cast
Yo yo Mikey! Sweet video. I just installed a HD’s live9, the screen is dark. How do you lighten it up to actually see it.
Crushed them man!!!😎🤙🏻
Apparently JW's Accent Spinnerbait is fire too.
Mikey.....I assume maybe you’re on Smith Lake. My first spot came out of Racoon Creek on a black jig and pork eel.....4-1! Jan. 1967

Nice catch bro keep wacking them
Way better intro my man. Love your content!
Mikey what batter system are you running for your Gopro where the back seat usually would be?
Beautiful little cut. That's a pretty lake. Same spot you were skipping the red kahara?
Nope that was a different little drain there's a million of them
@@mikeybalzz oh look, an actual response from a human. Good stuff man thanks.
Beautiful spot to fish.no pun intended
That buzzbait is loco, ese
Grey hunter awesome ? I noticed the same thing and was like WTF is he doing? What do I know it works lol. I'm in KC Missouri and they just don't hit it in the Midwest without a trailer for whatever reason.
Was that up in ryan creek where it splits with Simpson?
Topwater probably most fun way to catch fish.
The best fishing my brother
Wheeler is a bad man!
Good news and footage of those spot donkeys
Killed them on a Booyah Boss Pop Bream color today. Walk it fast with slight pauses and hard bloops every now and then. They shark on it
