I just added a water cage and mirror. If I need to ever carry anything else, I use a backpack.
Yeap, bikes can easily get overloaded with too many unessasary accessories. I do the same thing for my adventure biking. Wear a waiste pack for the essentials.
Backpacks can get sweaty. A trunk bag is better imo.
DeWalt has a cool tool box I got to use as storage. Going to figure out how to make it easy to mount and remove.
Very cool!
hahahah "let the blood back in the back end" too funny! nice video...glad i watched it, because i had a lot of unnecessary accessories in mind to purchase. The seat post is definitely a good idea for a much smoother ride!
Yeap, those hard seats will make you go numb. lol. Good seat post suspension can make all the difference in the world on a hard tail bike.
First thing I got was Mirrors
I was gonna get a suspension sent post but I don't need one
I'm going too get a cloud nine tho give one of them a go
I've got new Tires coming Too
Cos they were worn out 😮
Mirrors are a good idea, especially if you are doing a lot of street riding. A comfort seat makes things feel a lot better and a more enjoyable ride.
love your video, where is that park? would love to try it someitime.
Thank you. This is Martial Cottle Park in San Jose, Ca.
Some great points, I buy way too much stuff, lol
I do have to check myself sometimes and ask myself if it is something nessasary. Most times the answer is no. Lol.
what about your handlebar it looks different.
Yes, they are not stock. I put a set on with a 3 inch rise.
Good job Lance. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Funny you did this now. I shot footage for something similar but I have not even edited it yet. Steer clear of all the crazies out there shopping today. Lol.
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving to. Yeap, staying clear of the black Friday crazies.
I have a big box of must haves that I don’t use. I agree on the mirror but some will argue that point too. Some creators thrive off click bait right? Good job lance
Yes they do. You can almost say my thumbnail was click bait, but thats why I decided to at the word "REALLY" with a question mark to make it look sarcastic instead. Just dont want new riders waisting money on things they really dont need.
New to e-bikes got mine last month and I basically only ride it in full throttle like a motorcycle rarely do I peddle, only when going uphill to get that extra boost! But the accessories I have on my e-bike is 1. Phone mount 2. Left side mirror only 3. Electric bike horn 4. Bell 🛎️ 5. Upgraded comfy seat 6. Dual sport helmet 7. Gloves 8. Storage bag on my back rack holds 12.5L. That holds all the tools I need to fix my bike anywhere i go and I have a electric tire pump and some extra things in there!, I’m going to get a bigger storage bag or pannier to fit in the extra battery that I’m also going to buy with the bigger storage bag.
Sounds like your all set for a really nice adventure.
Nice video, I learned a lot, thank you. I just got my first ebike and I need all the help I can get. Subscribing now 👍
Welcome aboard!
I agree with most of what you say, but even though I ride a lot I don't use mirrors. I have no problem turning to look and I see more than I would in a mirror. I carry spare tubes and tools to fix a flat because I ride long distances, but that's it. My dad has ridden tens of thousands of miles over the last 30+ years and he never carried anything but a cell phone.
Its all personal preference. I dont ride with mirrors on the Zebra, but thats mainly offroad riding.
I have a RadCity 5 plus...love it! I wonder if those mirrors with a long neck are any good? Too much maybe? I have a simple one on the left side of the handle bar
I tried the long neck ones on my Zebra and they vibrated so bad when riding I could not see a thing in them. I returned them and got the Meachow bar end mirrors you see in this video. No vibrations at all. Use them on both the Rad and Himiway.
@ewithlance7013 right...I thought as much about the long neck mirrors, but the Meachow look good...any benefits to having two? one on the left and one on the right? Can you really see what's behind you with these ones? They seem a bit low.
I wonder if they will work well with my radcity 5 plus since the handle bar is a bit curved? Hmm A must have for me is of course a helmet and some lights-also panniers to do some shopping. Thanks
I have one on the left and right because it just evens out the look of the bike, thats it. For me, just having one made it seem like there was something hanging off the side of the bike. I do see everything behind me fine. The mirror is mounted on a ball so you can adjust it in just about any direction.I dont think you would have a problem on the Rad City 5.@@TheFandangovideoguy
@@theridewithlance They look good on both sides. The mirror I have been using for a while now is a Mirrycle which is fine-I think I would like one that I can fold inwards when needed and then just return it to the correct angle after without much fuzz...I'll research a bit. Not an emergency! Thanks
For me, Must have bike riding accessories....
a.m....L mirror(2 mirrors are acceptable/better)
120 db horn(not bell)
p.m....ArmyTek Wizard C2 ProMax headlamp=4000 lum-max(preferred)
2000 lum mounted light(optional)
Noxgear Tracer2 LED light vest
Rear tail/signal indicator light
Aloha from Hawaii
Sounds like you are lit up pretty good at night.
@@theridewithlance... Better'n Not being lit up & ending up as casualty statistic!-lol...Too much is Never Enough!
Your right.@@harrymiram6621
The only things I carry with me on my electric scooter is a water bottle holder mount and a voromotor duffle bag/pouch to carry my keys and phone. But that's it.
Simple and easy. I like it.
@@theridewithlance exactly. No did no mess. If I want to take the pouch off I can and just leave my bottle holder in place.
Love that park, nice ride. Well done Lance 🚴
Thanks 👍
The only accessories I bought was a helmet, mirrors, a bag for my phone/wallet and Jackery portable power station so I can ride longer and farther and a bell which I don't use as I yell more then I use the bell. lol. Oh and a good bike lock.
How is that Jackery power station working for you. I have been thinking about that too for some long trips.
@@theridewithlance Small enought to fit in my backpack and light enough too, Charges pretty quick, I just sit and take a break and enjoy the views.
