Star Trek was my favorite show as a kid Larry absolutely loved it,everyone liked the Monkees and you couldn't beat the Dick Van Dyke Show, even Mary Poppins liked that one. Bob
To each their own, Larry, as always. But “Gomer Pyle USMC” ahead of “Columbo”? I am asking our governor to “build that wall” between Minnesota and Canada! Nice video… Happy whenever Canada has its Thanksgiving Day…
My top five favorite TV shows are probably Smallville, Batman '66 (Yes, I like superheroes 😂), Breaking Bad, Freaks and Geeks, and The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis. The last two are highly underappreciated imo
‘Monkey’ from Japan was a great show. I saw a Japanese tv program where some Japanese celebrities were in Australia. I can’t remember the topic but one of the celebrities was Masaki Sakai who played Monkey and he interviewed an Australian university professor. At the end of the interview the professor asked him for his autograph or something. The other Japanese celebrities were surprised and wanted to know why the professor knew of Masaki Sakai. The program then talked about the popularity of Monkey in Australia and showed people gathering around Masaki Sakai on Pitt St Mall in Sydney getting his autograph and taking pictures.
I have seen about two-thirds of those but most of that was only a couple of episode. Seinfeld was essential viewing as were the Simpsons and South Park. Most of the ones I know from the list I saw on repeat. Some shows I loved were Blackadder, Fawlty Towers, Dave Allen at Large, The Bill, Minder, Man about the House, Red Dwarf, Father Ted, Ripping Yarns, Dukes of Hazzard…. and many more. Almost forgot The Goodies - my favourite show as a kid…..and Doctor Who, Not the Nine O’clock News and Thunderbirds 👍🏽
I agree with a lot of your rankings Larry. Great. I am trying to rewatch Lost now. I think it gets confusing in S5 because the flashbacks become side comparisons. Are they all dead or are they alive? What really happened? I am only at the end of S1. I don't watch every night, Yes, do watch The Sopranos!!! And then Ozark. Ozark is top tier. And like Donald Kennedy said in a comment, try Better Call Saul - soooooo excellent!!!!! Too much good stuff out there. The Bridge (The Denmark/Sweden version). Trapped - an Icelandic murder mystery. It's a show to watch in the summer because it is very cold and snowy in Iceland. Midsomer Murders. Blacklist. Scandal. Broachchurch. Grantchester. The regular CSI with Grissom. The early Criminal Minds. How To Get Away With Murder. - I have to stop because it looks like I have the TV on ALL the time.
I very much agree with most of your rankings. Although, a few changes I would make are Star Trek and Breaking Bad would be tied for first. Star Trek was my first favorite show at a very young age, all I ever really wanted to watch as a child was Star Trek and Spider-Man, all other shows be damned. Then in the late 80s when Star Trek: The Next Generation came out, that instantly became my new favorite. There is one show not on your list I really loved, and that is Steven Spielberg's "Amazing Stories' which I would love to get on DVD. And, I wouldn't have put anything in D tier, they all would have been in C or above.
I would appreciate a tier list ranking of TV series, as it is difficult and time-consuming for me to find one of quality. And as you say, you are the person of quality entertainment!
Some other shows I love, include: The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. .. Jack of All Trades .. Road to Avonlea .. American Gothic .. Dead Like Me (especially 1st season) .. Punky Brewster .. Taxi .. Futurama .. Six Feet Under .. Ally McBeal .. MST3K .. Firefly .. Millennium .. Carnivale (especially season one) .. Eerie Indiana .. Deadwood .. True Blood (especially the earlier seasons) .. Freaks and Geeks .. Undeclared .. Land of the Lost .. Night Gallery .. The Prisoner .. The Mysterious Cities of Gold .. Fraggle Rock
SNL was great in the 70's, so many great comedians came from that show you have Chevy Chase, Steve Martin, John Belushi, Dan Ackroyd, Eddie Murphy and many more that I cannot remember at this time. 😎👍
Brings back memories of the days when there was always something good to watch. Three's Company was one of my favourites from the late 70's. I would put Gilligan's Island in A. But I really don't feel like watching those old shows again though. I've actually watched the entire Breaking Bad 3 times. If you can, complete your watching of Lost. It's my 2nd favourite after BB, and I'm watching it for the 3rd time as well. Yes, it gets pretty complicated, but I got hooked.
When I was a kid I loved watching The Three Stooges , the Little Rascals and the cartoon Speed Racer. The Six million Dollar Man. I actually liked Married with children and threes company.
Couldn't agree more about Full House. I never understood why people loved that show. My S tier would include the Sopranos, Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad, All in the Family, The Bob Newhart Show, Newhart, Southland, Larry Sanders, Arrested Development and Taxi. I would have put Game of Thrones in S tier too then season 8 happened. Now it's C tier at best.
My favourites from your list are Friends, The Office, The Simpsons and South Park. Other favourites of mine include The Big Bang Theory, The Inbetweeners and Only Fools and Horses 👍xxx.
The Twilight Zone should be top of S tier. A few shows that I liked that were missing were The Fugitive, Hawaii Five 0 (the original), Magnum, The A-Team, The Fall Guy, Oz.
The Office Uk is one of the greatest tv shows ever made, I didn't like the American one for me. I loved Breaking Bad and Prison Break and also The Sopranos.
I agree with most of your choices. My main changers would be Lost and Python in S tier. Move The Office US to the bottom, I'm a fan of the UK version. And move Married with Children to A. And Charlie's Angels to A, I was 9 years old and in love with Jaclyn Smith.
There are so many i do not know (for me as a European) or never watched or i don't like. But these are know to me and are my favorites: - Star Trek - Muppet Show - Lost - Flintstones - Married... with Children - Waltons - Twilight Zone - Monsters and Adams Family I missed these (some had another name here) i kinda like: Dr. House, Buffy, Roswell, Quincy, Bonanza, Pink Panther and many more. By the way: Sex and the city belongs in E (or better in F). I watched one minute of it, and the story was all about men, shoes and handbags. Sorry, not for me.
A few you didn't mention: X-Files, STNG, The Wild Wild West, Kolchak the Night Stalker and Night Gallery were my favorites. I Dream of Genie was good. One show I couldn't stand, even as a child was Lost In Space. Dr Smith would of definitely been left on the nearest planet or sent out the airlock. Not to mention the ridiculous aliens and monsters which were also used in Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. I did like Voyage much more than Lost in Space however
Do you or anyone remember a British show called Nobody’s Ghost? I liked that when I was a kid. Haven’t seen it since the late 70s? It seems to be one of those show forgotten over time…..perhaps for good reason.
Can't knock your reasoning regarding the list. I agree about Married...with Children. Never understood the appeal of that show, Roseanne was okay during the first few seasons, but as she asserted more control behind the scenes the show got progressively worse, with the last season being just one big mess of fantasy episodes. I always liked Green Acres, with their bizarre and often surreal humor. Kinda like if they took The Red Green Show and gave the writers each a tab of acid and just let them run amok in the writers' room. Oh yeah, and added a pig who thought he was human.
You should change your name to Larry Grades from now on. So many of these we're clueless about in the UK, but X Files, Criminal Minds, Blackadder, Heroes, CSI and Curb Your Enthusiasm were notable absentees in your ranking.
The Simpsons would be A or even S tier if they ended the show on a high. Now it is pretty much a shell of what it used to be and got kind of old and forgotten. SNL, which is going on 60 years now, is also another show that has it's ups and downs. A lot of seasons and cast members could put them in S for me, but with a lot of subpar stuff, they are A for me.
My favorite comedy was barny miller and Rockford files also always loved law and order ncis not a big fan of Gilligan's island also grew up on manix i hate Brady bunch liked partridge family better also loved benson
My Favorite shows are / were The Twilight Zone , The Lou Grant Show , China Beach , Combat & Dawson's Creek. I don't like canned laugh tracks & that ruined many comedy shows for me.
I couldn't help noticing a dearth of cop shows, so I'm guessing you're not a fan. Hill Street Blues, NYPD Blue, Homicide and the original Hawaii Five-O are all classics.
SCTV is S tier and Monty Python is A? I enjoy SCTV but in no way was it better than Monty Python (I'm not even going to comment on putting it behind Glick). I Love Lucy was ground breaking and there's reasons it still holds up today where very few shows from that era do. Lost in C? Misidentifying Taxi as Cheers and then putting "Cheers" in C tier. UGH! I know it's subjective but some of these really make me question your taste.

To each their own, Larry, as always. But “Gomer Pyle USMC” ahead of “Columbo”? I am asking our governor to “build that wall” between Minnesota and Canada! Nice video… Happy whenever Canada has its Thanksgiving Day…
We had our Thanksgiving in October. Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate it!
My three favorite TV shows would be The Dick Van Dyke Show, Seinfeld and The Rockford Files. I loved SCTV as well and it certainly deserves an S tier.
My top five favorite TV shows are probably Smallville, Batman '66 (Yes, I like superheroes 😂), Breaking Bad, Freaks and Geeks, and The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis. The last two are highly underappreciated imo

I never watched most TV series, just shows.
Some other shows I love, include:
The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. .. Jack of All Trades .. Road to Avonlea .. American Gothic .. Dead Like Me (especially 1st season) .. Punky Brewster .. Taxi .. Futurama .. Six Feet Under .. All the best show where before my time, before I was born in 65."Classic TV"
Colombo is my favorite detective, Peter Falk is the perfect man for the caracter. 😎👍

Fawlty Towers....I dare say better than Python!
Couldn't agree more about Full House. I never understood why people loved that show. When I was 4 years old, I saw the first Sesame Street!
My favourites from your list are Friends, The Office, The Simpsons and South Park. Other favourites of mine include The Big Bang Theory, The Inbetweeners and Only Fools and Horses 👍xxx.
I hope you're talking about the original, UK version of The Office.
The Twilight Zone should be top of S tier. A few shows that I liked that were missing were The Fugitive, Hawaii Five 0 (the original), Magnum, The A-Team, The Fall Guy, Oz.
You had Breaking Bad. Did you see the Prequel, Better Call Saul??? That was great too.
Nope!
Dyyyyynoòoomite!!!!
The Office Uk is one of the greatest tv shows ever made, I didn't like the American one for me.
I loved Breaking Bad and Prison Break and also The Sopranos.

I would add Soap and put it in S tier
There are so many i do not know (for me as a European) or never watched or i don't like. But these are know to me and are my favorites:
- Star Trek
- Muppet Show
- Lost
- Flintstones
- Married... with Children
- Waltons
- Twilight Zone
- Monsters and Adams Family
I missed these (some had another name here) i kinda like:
Dr. House, Buffy, Roswell, Quincy, Bonanza, Pink Panther and many more.
By the way: Sex and the city belongs in E (or better in F). I watched one minute of it, and the story was all about men, shoes and handbags. Sorry, not for me.
You're right about Happy days Larry,Fonzie was cooler when he had less dialog, jump the shark around the 3rd season.
I did like Voyage much more than Lost in Space however
You didn't include The Beatles Saturday morning cartoons. I'm shocked.
I was interested in Charlie’s Angels 😇 but for the wrong reason! 😮😮😮😮😮 😂😂😂😂😂
Do you or anyone remember a British show called Nobody’s Ghost? I liked that when I was a kid. Haven’t seen it since the late 70s? It seems to be one of those show forgotten over time…..perhaps for good reason.
Nope!

The drummer from the muppets was taken from Keith Moon 🌚 😲 😯 😯 😮 😯 😊😊😊😊😊
Did you ever watch 'Chuck'? or 'Ironside'? And 'The Carol Burnett Show' and 'Bob Newhart' were favs of mine, too.
Nope... never even heard of Chuck and had no interest in Ironside.
You should change your name to Larry Grades from now on. So many of these we're clueless about in the UK, but X Files, Criminal Minds, Blackadder, Heroes, CSI and Curb Your Enthusiasm were notable absentees in your ranking.
I never watched any of those shows...
not too shabby Larry, fact is most shows go on way too long ! oh and Roseanne Barr is a legend !!😇
The Sopranos should the 1st in the S tier! 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲
The great TV show in the gangster subspecies
The Simpsons would be A or even S tier if they ended the show on a high. Now it is pretty much a shell of what it used to be and got kind of old and forgotten. SNL, which is going on 60 years now, is also another show that has it's ups and downs. A lot of seasons and cast members could put them in S for me, but with a lot of subpar stuff, they are A for me.
Not much of a tv show guy I prefer movies. I like the Twilight Zone, Breaking Bad and Batman though.
What? No Carol Burnette or Kids In The Hall? Dang.
I can't list every TV show in a random video, plus I never watched Kids In The Hall but Carol Burnette is A tier.
My favorite cop show of all time has to be Southland.
Married with Children was great. I could tell just from your age your weren't going to like it. Almost everyone 60+ hates that show.
I was in my 30's when it was on TV and disliked it then.
You're the kind of person who takes the fun out of doing these rankings. I can have my own opinion on what I like or don't like just like yourself...
Golly gee n junk, thanks Larry for the ranking from the Beevv 🦫
My pleasure, Beaver!!
