Thank you, Jerry ! The first gospel song made me think of mom . Before she died, she had no vision but her last words described a beautiful sight. That was a gift to me that I cannot forget. You are a good man that knows so much. You know everything and can do so much. We all benefit by this effort you make !
Thanks for this Jerry. I have an old mandolin that's been a wall hanger, but I'm going to get it down and fix a few things, then give it a go. Interestingly enough, I learned the Nasville system 30 years ago while playing blues guitar. My mentor showed it to me so I could go to jams and not be lost. But, he never told me that there was a name for the system, so yes, it's invaluable to learn it, and its easy. I had heard references over the years to the "Nashville Numbering System ", but I thought it was something way over my head, turns out I was using it already!
Wow you make learning to play the Mandolin easy to do Jerry, A tip from me to everyone else out there get Jerry's training either Mandolin or Guitar, This could end up being one of your most requested series of Video's.
Beautiful and inspiring songs, Jerry. I play piano and 6-string guitar by ear and gospel music has been my favorite ever. Thanks for the great videos! Greetings from Brazil!
Great, you released this on Sunday. Thanks! I played along with my guitar but I need to get the mandolin back along with your trading an watch again. Stretching the fingers is hard.
Mr. Jerry that is so crazy. I have told many ppl that all i want when i get to heaven us a lil cabin by a stream and a lake. I always say that i don't need the gold and the mansion he speaks of. I've always hoped that wasn't sacraligious or Anything.
Jerry, I want to plug you on your lessons that are available on your website! You had a video out on how to play the mandolin and that is how I found your channel... I also order your lesson along with the Nashville Number System- now music makes sense. I had a tough time getting that pinky to move on over but like you said it takes practice! Now it is automatic! I only wish I would have had your lesson years ago! Thanks for sharing your talent!
Hi Jerry; I enjoyed your training video very much. I just want to say I like the rose inlay on this mandolin better than the yellow ones on your later mandolins. Just my personal preference, both are beautiful.
Very nice initiative Jerry, I'm sure many beginners will profit from this great didactive video ! The 7th chord is nicely spicing the song. the second song remind me somehow of the great song Mercedes Benz of Janis Joplin
Hi jerry just a thought about your need for antlers and where you could get them if you google earth this place you will see what i mean, Jackson Hole Wyoming good luck.
Assuming you know your cords for the Uke already, I think you would get quite a bit out of the Mandolin training. Particularly the Nashville number system part. It all Works the same but it would be similar to how a left handed person would have to convert everything to their Needs.
@@RosaStringWorks It blends very well with mandolin . Now the 7th minor is a Blues cord and for many years has been called the devils note or cord .. back when I was younger . Id blend the devils cord in to certian cords and my mother would go nuts stop that your calling up the devil .. lol
Thank you, Jerry !

Hi Jerry. Can your mandolin teaching method be used for a ukulele? Best wishes and keep safe.

You use the 7th as a blender between cords so many Flow togeather and the cords wont seam choppy ?? Yeah this is a question not a statement !
Yes I call it a transition chord
