A lot of them convert to early after not fully understanding the concept of Islam and then leave from feeling isolated in the religion. However most, including myself have grown up around muslims since childhood and have had plenty of time to properly research and see the true Islam for themselves. The doors are open to anyone there is exclusivity, it is the seal of the abrahamic religions confirming one god alone who is worthy of worship and the line of prophets who conveyed this to the people of their time (in my respectful opinion). Yes unfortunately there are muslims are extremists and behave appallingly and sadly many sincere muslims have to apologise for them.

Well, as an ex-muslim and recent convert to the Christian faith living in the UK, I can say that I attend churches that consists mostly of Christians from a muslim background, so basically convert like myself.
If you think that islam has been for so long time in the UK and so the mosques, and consider that those new converts to Christianity from islam are coming mostly from the new waves of immigration, i would consider the letter more inpressive.

i'm guessing it's the Ihsan Mosque in Norwich that he visited which is not typical of UK mosques. The convert Abdalqadir as-Sufi (Ian Stewart Dallas) founded his Sufi community of converts to his brand of Sufism, there in the 1970s The mosque community has remained largely indigenous British Muslims (though many of them no longer subscribe to Abdalqadir al-Sufi's views as he became discredited in the eyes of some.) . But as I say it is not typical of mosques in the UK.
This is actually a topic that needs to be discussed much more. Do we have any statistics about the rate of conversion into Islam? If this rate increases exponentially then it's possible that Islam will grow at a much faster rate than anticipated

Many of these converts are not successful in their own societies and are angry, so it's a form of rebelliousness. They want to hit back at Western culture...Apparently, studies show that many of them drop out of it after a few years. Western countries learned colonisation FROM Islam!
