Waldorf Iridium Improv. #3 Space Ambient (Iridium, Octatrack, Microcosm, DittoX4)

- Yet another Iridium improv. or semi-improv this time. Some backing was looped in advanced on the Ditto (all sounds from iridium), and loops/samples in the Octatrack which were created in Bitwig. All live played sounds from the Iridium. FX from Microcosm, El Capistan and Big Sky. Mostly using my own presets in Iridium, and some from CO5MA and tweaked basic FM presets (epiano, bells).
Recorded direct to DAW.
Video shot on a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k with a Sirui 35mm anamorphic lens. Editing and colour grading done in Da Vinci Resolve.

Yes imagine indeed. Unfortunately...I am guessing it would be a distant world. Yet, our sentient being ended up on this planet somehow.. there must be some way to end up on another one :)

Lovely music! Very calming. Besides the main point that the music is good: Iridium looks to me like one of the most fun synthesizers to play on, very capable and also very ergonomic with the Vega mount and the big screen.

I can't get enough of this. So ethereal, other-worldly and calming. After a while, during the second half, it's like the rhythm is a pulse and breath: at first separate, then mine. Weird. Takes me on a different journey every time ✨

Hi. Amazed at what you are doing. Really nice work. Noob question now. Is the box that is causing the delay/note doubling (for want of a much more appropriate description) at 0:47 the DittoX4? It is also a really nice sounding voice. Where is that coming from? Another noob question. I have Subscribed and clicked on the Bell, how does it work after that? (I am 58 (now 59). How the hell would I know??? :) )

Patrick? Which Looper to buy? Boss RC-500 or Ditto X4 or any other one? I need a simple Looper without Effects but good sound quality and..it should be easy to use because i want to test layering and such.

What is main sequencer in this setup? Octatrack?
I didn't really use one. It's samples playing back, and looping via the DittoX4 while improvising.
Oh wait, never mind, there's some sequencing later on...I think that was Octatrack
