- The Whiterun Guard during the Odahviing quest is scripted to die. However, transmogrifying him with the Wabbajack replaces him during his scripted death, so when he de-transforms, he has missed his scripted death.
Wow, you saved someone for once, instead of murdering them in a horrific way
I did save the Flying Wizard, but it was in a horrific way.
Not all heroes wears cape, sometimes they don't wear nothing at all
A la Kekko Kamen:)
Wow. In thousands if not hundreds of thousands of playthroughs, this guard has never made it this far. Now he gets to live to see the journey of the dragon born for the first time. You are a bigger hero than Gandhi and Abraham Lincoln.
In another universe
Wife guard : So how was your day honey?
Guard : Oh, I've been transformed into a rabbit by a half naked man that used a deadric staff, and we capture a dragon.
Wife guard : WHAT ??
Guard : Could be worse, I could have been to guard duty. Can't wait to see my cousin fighting dragon to tell him that!
Cousin fighting dragon? Are you implying that he owns a dragon that fights people's cousins?
I also have imagined the conversation around the dinner table when the guard I turned into a sweet roll goes home to his family and his wife asks how work was. Plus I’m always very worried about the guard when I have followers like Sofia or Inigo around. Guard is lucky to be alive after his stint as a sweet roll.
@@TwoHeadedMeerkat My english is bad :) But you got what I meant to say I guess.
Holy shit, using the Wabbajack to turn the guy into a rabbit, where Odahviing's claws miss him by a couple inches is just... Wow
"I can make your problems with guards go away, but it'll cost you, what do you say?"
-Riften Guard
waves the thane card
Imagine the story that guard is gonna tell their grandchildren lol
(Zaps guard with Wabbajack)
"A challenger is near!"
(Proceeds to be decapitated by Dremora Lord)
I didn't think it was possible. Incredible.
I tried saving him with the Aetherium Shield. He got carried off, but shouldn't have been able to take damage. He still died :/
I did never suspect this guy could be saved since his death was scripted. Would this work on Roggvir though?
Roggvir is impossible to save, no matter what you do he just runs into the center of town and gets killed by another guard or a citizen
You could also just bash the dragon with a shield. I did it just out of curiosity and it worked
How many times did you have to do this to get the staff to transmogrify him? Or is the effects determined by some actual factor?
It’s random, but it didn’t take that many attempts. He can morph into a lot of things.
@@leopoldstotch711 That's good; with my luck, it'd take me at least 15-20x lol
@@MistaShadowman That's me rn, I'm trying to use the wabbajack and instead of morphing, I'm damaging him with all the possible destructive spells instead smk.
This SOB is gonna make me get out my old console and start another life draining campaign!
"Hello sir, I just saved your life. How do you feel?"
Oh hello there
I just Saw some of you creative gameplay
I was wondering if you had any creative tips for Markarth quest lines (Cidhna and Forsworn conspiracy). Especially if you could do them in a pacifist way without getting the bounty
You need to be in werewolf or vampire lord form when you get arrested to avoid the bounty. You can kill Madanach with a wheelbarrow if you want to get a pacifist kill on him.
@@leopoldstotch711 thanks you
So actually hiding your human form is the only way
I'll try to figure a RP way that looks good and plan a route involving the dawnguard questline.
I was thinking about doing a full playthrough as a healer person and wondering how it would look
You: NOT IN MY WATCH!
Does this work with Roggvir in Solitude too? Could you transform him long enough that his scripted death doesn't happen?
Maybe, but I think it’s impossible, since you have to go to Solitude to get the Wabbajack, so by the time you get it, he’ll be dead anyway.
@@leopoldstotch711 yes, but what if you get arrested outside solitude so that you enter solitude from the dungeon/palace? Then would the execution script avoid triggering until you were close by
@@tacctelm8883 Interesting, I may have to test it.
Edit: I tested it and it doesn’t seem to work. I prevented his execution and transformed him to get past his scripted death, but when he de-transformed, he automatically died.
@@leopoldstotch711 yes do it!
@@leopoldstotch711 i don’t think that's possible coz Roggvir has this weird script where he'll die no matter what even after you save him after execution.(I got this fact from epicnate)
Very clever.
Normally after this scene is over, there's a dead guard who can be found underneath Dragonsreach, implying but not cinfirming it was this guard.
Will he still be appear?
I didn’t check, but I know it’s a separate NPC, so I’m fairly sure the dead one will still appear.
Nice work I tried to use telekinesis to pull him out of the way But soon as I released it he would spawn in the air and then fall from the sky
This man tried to save a single one Whiterun Guard. Meanwhile me and Stormcloaks beat the shit of out them and invade Whiterun =/
good thing he didn't turn into like me
So it is possible!
Will the guard now be forever stuck in that place?
I think he just de-spawns eventually.
I wonder is that would work on the Solitude Execution of Roggvir
If someone do a run that have to save everybody in skyrim I could have watch it
Huh, cool.
Why? Dragon gotta eat somehow.
Bruh I tried to save him for like 20 mins
Have anyone ever try bend will on odhaving?
Does he just stay in that animation?
Wonder if it would work for the dude that gets decapitated in whiterun?
They tested it and he dies as soon as the transformation wears off even if he survives the beheading due to how his death is scripted
You mean Solitude?
@@niceguy1965 no he means nazeem i decapitated him
everytime i start this quest he never lands he just keeps flying away n teleports back buh never lands so i keep restarting the game but everytime i get to that specific quest the same thing always happens can anybody tell me why it’s doing that?
Dumb question, but are you actually using Dragonrend on him to make him land?
@@idc170293 obviously but even when i use it he still never lands he just keeps flying to the point where you can’t see him anymore only the quest marker
@@syirepurvis423
Yeah, sounds pretty stuck to me. Guess you can always ignore the main questline and just roleplay some random dude. Especially if you don't kill the 1st dragon near Whiterun.
Hai :D
What staff is that?
Wabbajack
@@janezkette3901 thanks
