thanks for showing love to “Chronicle” that movie is way too good for how underrated it is 👏🏻💀
I LOVED Hardcore Henry it is pure adrenaline rush! I have found almost every one of these bluray's at the local Goodwill for $2.99.
That’s a great find!
Great recommendations Ken! Interesting to note that Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling got married after working together on A Place Beyond the Pines 😊
Good ones there. I like videos like this because you are recommending movies that are not mainstream and people may not know about, which is something I like to do. So many great movies out there that need more attention.
Yes Chronicle is so good. Takes place in my state of Washington.
Visually 127 Hours stands out with the unique camerawork. That's one of my favorite movies too. You and I have a lot of similar taste in movies it seems. The Place Beyond the Pines blew me away. Drive also is one of Ryan Gosling's best films.
Haha Role Models is hilarious I agree.
Top secret is getting a 4k upgrade
Yeah, I shot this 3 weeks ago or so. Happy to be proven wrong.
4k is a scam
@@Scifi4lifeyou must be watching movies on a $200 tv.

@@ronthorn3 nope. It's an LGTV
Chronicle is awesome!!
Great recommendations Ken! The Peanut Butter Falcon is so underrated. I love that movie! And Top Secret is a classic! Comedy Gold right there.
Probably the best selections of potential 4K's you've put out there. Noice!
Ken the dealer... promoting movies you want to buy/own doesn't force us to purchase anything. You just do this to share your passion for films. The rest is up to us. Good selection, I have several of these.
I’d like to think of it that way.
Great list Ken my favorite is Peanut Butter Falcon. I always recommend that movie to people ...and great formats for a video as well.
I have Cobweb on Blu Ray. I bought it sight unseen and it is a great underrated horror movie!
The Nice Guys is probably my all-time favorite comedy.
Thanks Ken, won't be going in the collection, but will stream some of these...
I love chronicle
I'm super happy I own in steelbook
They have steelbook ima check it out
I love how your Movie Room looks!
Thanks Maria!
Top Secret will be released on 4K along with, Airplane and Naked Gun in a box set called The ZAZ Collection.
Yeah. You’ll hear me talk about that tomorrow. Lol… This video was made weeks ago.
The Nice Guys is seriously underrated
Love your videos. I just started collecting Blu-rays again. The hunt is such a blast!
Glad you like them!
the Nice Guys is way cool and the book is word for word from the movie, such a fun watch
I picked up The Nice Guys at Big Lots last week for cheap
I’m 25 and Chronicle has been in my top five since I saw it in theaters. Also, There’s a video of the writer (Max Landis) called chronicle explained, it’s five minutes and he explains exactly what chronicle two and three would’ve been because he knows that he will never get to make those movies. And I’ll just give you some juicy info, the thing that gave them their powers wasn’t aliens, and wasn’t the government.
Wish we would have got those sequels.
Role models is great. Check out deleted scenes. Paul Rudd is always on
I never thought someone else loved Top Secret! but me! First movie I ever rented on Betamax!! It's getting a 4k!! Hope it includes the flaming hog balls!!!
Hi Ken, I know you pre-recorded this video. Please get well fast. I need you in my life.
Well. I’ve got a few pre-records left, but still down for the count.
Enjoy chronicle though kind of dark.
14:00 no complaints
127 hours is an experience 😮💨
Ken have you seen Beetlejuice Beetlejuice yet Warner Bros should do a 4K UHD of Pee-Wee's Big Adventure with a new 4K restoration from the 35mm Negatives with a fix aspect ratio of 1.85:1 compare to the Blu-ray's 1.77:1 ratio i'm it will get a 4K announcement from Warner Bros this film definitely need a 4K upgrade
also great video.
The peanut butter falcon great movie😊 it was one of the last movies I bought new on dvd before I started to upgrade all my dvds I can.
I got Hardcore Henry at dollar tree for $1.25. Thought I could not finish watching it as I get motion sickness... :(
I have the slipcover for Chronicle if you really need it? I'll sell it to you for $15.99. 😆 LOL!!!! All these "regular " bluray's without their packaging/slipcovers is weird for you. You usually have all the best packaging.
If it's a film I'm not familiar with I'm going to need that steelbook or chunky box set to get me excited. 😂
😂😂
Saw Top Secret when it came out 1984 LOVE IT more than the other movies of its kind.
Also like Loaded Weapon & Mafia
I have that chronicle blue ray dvd 📀 it has the lost footage cut really dope movie one of the kids turn evil and abuses the powef
On Amazon Hardcore Henry is 9.00 dollars
I'm halfway there, I bought Chronicle randomly on BE about 7 years ago
Ok I bought 127 hours, good call.
I vaguely remember hardcore henry when it came out. Gonna give it another shot now since it's so cheap
there's nothing wrong with liking "mainstream films" or only reviewing 4k releases of huge 500 billion dollar blockbusters...if that's what you like then who am i to tell you what to do with YOUR money. Thats how i see it. I have the same tv as you only mine is a year newer but i genuinely like lower budget independent films that only have dvd and blu ray releases. A matter a fact, the only 4k ive picked up was the arrow uk 4k of fear and loathing in las vegas and i was completely blown away with the transfer!! glad i went with the arrow 4k over the criterion.
Just because a movie has a 4K, does not mean it cost 500 billion to make. In fact, no movie ever has cost that much. Lol
Wouldn't really have thought I would get any standard bluray lately, after getting into 4k. Then got a few which changed my mind, Perfect Blue, The Kingdom Trilogy, Festen.... off the top of my head. It needs to be something I don't forsee a 4k being made of.
Some more obscure stuff, or early shot on digital. Stuff like PTA and Wes Anderson, I'll wait before adding to my collection...until there is a 4k.
Hardcore Henry slaps. No one I know has seen that movie.
too much shaky camera IIRC; drove me insane...
It’s amazing what they managed to pull off.
Not bad picks you got some good movies there in your top 10 picks. But here are some good ones I would also recommend to get or watch sunshine & free fire & 2 days in the valley & the principle & sniper & popcorn & up the creek & summer school
Two words: Josie and the Pussycats 2001 DVD
Own the blu-ray copy...highly underrated movie! So ahead of its time!
Top secret is getting a 4k release.
Yes, I heard there will be a 'Zucker' 4K collection 👍
I just bought Role Models on Amazon for $9. It's on sale.
not how they get powers in Fantastic Four...no touching involved ... they flew through a cosmic cloud in space...pretty close though... a worse FF movie is the Corman 90's movie they made to keep the rights.... so bad.... but not released but you can find copies floating around
For those of us who were "children of the 80's" and grew up with the cartoon, the blu-ray of "G.I.Joe: The Movie!". Maybe one day we'll get a 4K release..."THIS...I COMMAND!"! ^_~
Chronicle is the only found footage movie that I like. It’s been a minute since I’ve watched it though.
Some interesting recommendations. Cobweb is high on my must see list but Chronicle, what a fantastic movie. I don't like superhero movies (hate Marvel, sorry) but I loved this. What would some ordinary guys do if they suddenly had superpowers. I love found footage too and this is a great example of the genre that heavily deviates from the norm and is all the better for it. The bluray steelbook isn't hard to get and is pretty cheap if you want to take a look for it. Anyway good video, thanks.
Are you saying that Shazam wasn't realistic? wow...😉
Nice Guys was always a movie I keep wondering why no 4k? Its quite a colorful movies and would look nice with Dolby Vision.
Agreed.
@@midlevelmedia Arrow Video should release it on 4K UHD.
Amazon UK prices: Role Models £5.99, Nice Guys £5.99, Place Beyond the Pines £6.99 - you guys are being ripped off!
Hard rain ?
Peace out
Happy 2nd Birthday to Barbarian. 2 years later still no physical release.
I have a number of these on DVD but never upgraded because of the whole UHD situation. I keep worrying about double-dipping and I'm wondering if that's costing me.
Definitely understand that. I’m hoping for upgrades of most of these.
Ken uploaded from the grave.
I legit hate most Russell Crowe movies. Except The Nice Guys. That movie is so good. I wish there was a sequel. Or several.
Bubba Ho Tep is way better than Hardcore Henry
127 hours is based off of a true story
You fluffed your Top Secret line 😢
I fluff nothing. Flub maybe, but never Fluff.
This video should have been titled... These are the Blu-ray movies... You don't want to waste Your Money 😒 On...
😆 🤣 😂
@@Ghostrecon12
That's probably why I found them used in the thrift stores for cheap cheap! I definitely wouldn't pay full price for any of these titles.
Most of these movies you can watch on streaming. Id recommend checking them out that way before committing to purchase a physical copy
Great advice.
This is a physical media channel… so it makes more sense to recommend buying it
@@jeffcunningham0389 No, recommend the movie and people can watch it and decide if it's worth buying. You don't have to own 'everything'. Buying a movie on bluray you haven't even watched is the worst kind of stupid, just imo.
Definitely that's what I do with movies I haven't seen
@jeffcunningham0389 ya but the smart move to save money is seeing many of these first on free streaming channels. In the long run it's most likely to save you money
THE WORST VIDEO REVEIWER EVER.
Thank you
