I have one of these cameras, gifted to me by a friend of a late photographer. The friend was looking for suitable photographers to rehome the cameras with someone who would use them. I had a choice between this an a Nikon FM...and chose this precisely because it's a camera I would have never purchased. Boy, did I make a good decision. The images out of this are beautiful. I have a Canonet QL17GIII which is smaller and more convenient to use, but I love the images from the Fujica 35EE more. I picked up a 37mm-52mm stepup ring to use standard filters with it. The finder patch is out of alignment along the vertical plane, but I just rotate the camera as needed. It's one of those "It works fine with some accommodation, so don't fix it" things. LOL One quirk I discovered very early is that there is NO film stop on the rewind lever....you can rewind your way through 3-5 images worth of film on your first outing if you don't realize this...ask me how I know. :) Overall, it's on of my favorite 35mm cameras. Aside from the selenium receptor not working...making this a completely manual camera...I've been very happy with this. If you like rangefinders and want something with a nice personality to its images, this is a camera to consider.
Took me awhile to figure out how to get off the top plate for me to clean the fungus off the viewfinder. Currently i don’t know how to get to the lens to clean the inner elements.
This lens has incredible resolution! I just got my Fujica V2 last month, very curious to see a comparison between this 45mm f1.9 and the 45mm f1.8 on V2 :)
