Dame is always one of my favorite interviews! It’s not just because I’m a blazer fan he’s just a good dude and answers every question throughly and true.
Dame just built different than most players nowdays...I'm sure true and pure fans can appreciate that. The others can worship players that jump ship for a better opportunity every two years
@@lornegreen6755 agreed, but I don't see basketball teams as just companies or playing basketball as a 9-5 job,so loyalty to a team that believed in you,a city that has embraced you and fans that have loved and supported you,to me is admirable.

Hey JJ this is a excellent interview but could you start adding bullet points with the time stamps next to them so we know what subject is coming up next and if we want to jump around the interview for those who don’t have a hour to listen but want to listen to certain subjects
I am a NBA fan since 1989 from Brasil and I would like to say that this was an awesome interview. JJ is great at this and I am amazed about how willing and smart Lillard is, loved to see this. Thanks JJ! So much lessons from this podcast!
Love hearing Dame, always so thoughtful and really thinks out the questions. Go 510! JJ great content and questions. I’ve been rewatching lots of episodes
HPM Royale basketball IQ doesn’t just mean making the right pass. Scoring takes a lot of IQ. Gotta know what to do to get by defenders and when to take shots and etc
HPM Royale At his level he’s not even thinking I’d bet. Now obviously he knows more about basketball than almost anyone in the world but when the best players in the game are coming at you he’s probably just reacting in the moment. Sports are weird, even average players can literally feel things during the game and just know exactly what to do.
I always liked Dame, but this interview made me like him so much more. His passion for the game is incredible. Gonna be rooting for him going forward. Big fan now.
I don’t think I could possibly say enough amazing things about dame man. Person, player, everything, just gotta love this man and everything he stands for. No doubt a superstar in this league and I’d say there’s only 9 superstars in the league
JJ BRO at 15:14 that was the perfect time to bring up the drop coverage Portland did vs Curry in the WCF in game 1. It was a 4 point midway through the 4th with Portland giving Steph an insane three every pick and roll down the stretch while GSW were sending 2/3 guys at him on the other end. Dang it!
Shout out to JJ Redick....I played against this guy in high school....Many George Washington high school VS Cave Spring High School battles....Good to see him reppin VA well....
How can you not root for this guy ? Came up as underdog. True to himself and those who have stood by him. Obsessed and dedicated to the game. JJ and Tommy's podcast is giving us a real inside look at the NBA from the player's perspective and experience. Well thought questions and genuine responses.
If you like this podcast, look up all the smoke it's hosted by Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. They've gotten guys like Kobe, CP3, Trae, Vince, and Draymond. It's worth watching
The Chris Paul convo talks about things I’ve noticed over the years as well. My favourite players of all time are the thinkers of the game (CP3, Bron, Dame, Luka, Simmons, Manu, Kobe to name a few). Some of the young guys that aren’t superstars that think the game and try to manipulate them imo are Shai who is my Canadian brothern lol, Marcus Smart, D Mitch, Joe Ingles, Mike Conley, Rondo, Lonzo (he doesn’t want to get to the line much so he doesn’t try to trick the refs which hopefully changes one day) and DeMar.
Thank You for this Podcast JJ. Love from Chicago. Your perspective, your picking of guest's, Excellent. Wonderful Informative B-ball content. Issa a Vibe✌✌✌✌ No🧢
I can’t wait until all the players start going to the games and watching. That will drive the competition up another level. (Are players able to watch other teams games?)
Love the podcast, this will definitely grow in the future but Tommy Alter looks like CM Punk lol He be trying to fix that mic 4:08 And that hand placement at 4:26 got me laughing
I think your going to be an excellent coach if that's what you want J.J. Very smart writing down names of key persons who have helped players maybe building a staff? Thanks to all of three of you for your he hoops talk real inside stuff I'd never here anywhere else
I was super impressed with Reddick. I must admit I had Duke bias....especially when he played. I like their acknowledgement and respect CP3, Melo and Bron.
The parts about his upbringing, with his dad just saying, nope, end of discussion 🤷🏻♂️😂 but really his character is A1. You rarely find dudes like this. Just another reason why he's an amazing human being and hooper
50:35 on, this whole part describes Ben Simmons & Joel Embiid. Those big school players as well. Most the best players right now weren’t the top top college recruits.
Dame is always one of my favorite interviews! It’s not just because I’m a blazer fan he’s just a good dude and answers every question throughly and true.
His intelligence is showing. And his character.
“Anything other than loyalty, ain’t worth it” -Dame

Lorne Green Nah loyalty doesn’t follow a set of rules. The rules are flexible and there made by you. That’s what makes it special.

Time stamps are for the top comments
@mommatoldme Hes an NBA Player in the bubble limited and they want time stamps 😂
@mommatoldme How bout if JJ tells Tommy to do it
Lol just watch the interview and pay attention
This is not all the smoke or knuckleheads
I love Dame so much. If you not a Portland fan you will never fully understand his greatness. It’s a blessing to watch him every night.

Great to see Dame putting the respect on Kyle Lowry that the media and casuals can't understand.
Terry Black I respect him. He got kawhi his chip
This was a laidback & enjoyable interview. Like some friends just chilling out having a regular convo. SN: Their Hip Hop draft lists were 🔥🔥🔥
Dame is the best. This was such an awesome conversation to listen to.

thanks for gettin one of the realest on. congrats on the new podcast jj
Good interview, asking questions and getting answers instead of just talking about yourself like a lot of podcasts do.
This dude on the top left always crack me up. If he ain’t quiet for a while, he’ll be doing funny things with his mic 🤣
So damn happy to witness him winning the game of life

Damian Lillard = class act
Going from this to coaching the Lakers is crazy 😅😅
Dame really confirmed he is the coolest in the nba.
JJ got a little tight after Dame said he liked to Fade going right 🙁😂
Saw that huh??? Lol
His face didn’t change at all how was he tight?
Its about time an nba star starts broadcasting this stuff who's able to bring other stars on the show!

I also can’t wait even though it was a year ago

@@KSSportsReports It'll be harder for Portland since they gotta win 2 straight as a 9th seed, but Memphis would only need to win 1 game
