I enjoyed this interview. Not your typical celebrity interview. No scandals to address. He's not trying to trend or promote a show. It was a genuine interview about his work. I'm certain for some kid who's in the film industry and Angus is his idol, this interview feels like candy to him. Again great episode. Loved it!

Couldn't have phrased it better. I know that numbers are part of the game but the heritage of such stories should precede the numbers. There is much more we have learnt in these stories than the other media forms. For instance who knew before this episode that Angus and Co don't own Yizo. Lets Mize views for a moment and let the stories be told, this is the only place where we are guaranteed such stories. Please do not take them away from us champions.🎉

The Monday episodes get the most views because they mostly deal with current affairs, and the Chillers are interested in hearing your perspective on those current affairs. The Thursday episodes are special in that they document a persons/celebrity life through their own words unfiltered. They are slow-burners that in the long run will eventually overtake their corresponding Monday episode in views. Don't do away with celebrity interviews, just take it as a long-term investment. We need guys like ANGUS GIBSON who people aren't necessarily familiar with, but have done so much to document Black South African history to tell their story. And nobody with a Podcast can conduct an interview like MacG!

Built factories across North West. He had altications with Queen Elizabeth over the land. He fought the Boers. The establishment of a strong economy. The siege of Bophuthatswana and more.

21:41 the fact that he speaks about how they lived in a bubble in the suburbs back in the days proves all ive ever thought.
Ive always wondered why white people would be so ignorand of apartheid and its atrocities but most of them werent exposed to it and were misinformed, so to them they genuinely believe life was better because thats all they were exposed to, they never saw the life ekasi kuth injani.
Doesnt justify them not researching and trying to learn and understand better so we can all move forward, but it does explain the huge ignorance in a huge chunk of their population.
You cant speak or understand what uve never been exposed to

The funny thing about watching Yizo Yizo as an adult is that I saw an uncut and unfiltered educational show that tackled real issues. It gave society a mirror to reflect on and it hated what it saw.

I don’t think naive is the word in this instance …perhaps a phrasing like “ not to be inflexible/inconsiderate /difficult but I’m happier when I see both Sol Phenduka and MacG sitting together” would convey your message better…
