  • The Kentucky Fried Theatre Company (David and Jerry Zucker and Jim Abrahams) took elements from many aeroplane disaster movies to make their 1980 parody, Airplane! However, the story and screenplay came from one film, Zero Hour. In this review, we can see how the two movies are so similar, even down to small touches such as the music and sound effects. Airplane is a fantastic movie and can be watched on RUclips for a small fee - it is very highly recommended as one of the funniest films ever made.

I recently viewed the 'Zero Hour' movie on Turner Classic Movies and I thought that the movie 'Airplane' was similar. I was correct. Good job.

Thank you! It's great to watch the whole fim when you have seen Airplane many times - it's so much like watching a version of the comedy film with all the jokes removed!
