Very nice work indeed! I saw CEE using a steady rest and make a smooth section on the outside of an otherwise rough pipe like yours and then move the steady over to it to have the bearings run on a better surface. Seems like a good practice, so I pass it on. Best of success with future projects!
Thank you! I looked into buying one but the ones for my lathe are Cheap and not very well made and when I looked up the dimensions, I found that it doesn't even line up with the centre line of my lathe. so the only way I could have one is, if i built it myself!
