I watched this video on loop for about an hour, and now I've completed it. . . Thank you so much for not skimming through and for properly explaining everything.
Cheers, glad it was a help, I like.to show as much detail as possible rather than just doing jump cuts
Thanks for this vid, phone was failing to charge, replacement daughter board for €12 and up and working again using your video as a guide 👍. It wasn't completely smooth sailing, when plugged in after swapping the boards got a temperature error sign and wouldn't charge. On googling found a tiktok that indicated faulty temp sensor, scratched that off the daughter board, put back together and now fast charging again like when new. Thanks again, John
Good to read this has helped
The Majority of the Temp / Moisture sensors on the replacement of charger ports on the net seems to be a major issue
Saved me over $150.00. Thank you so much!!!!!
Your welcome
Thank you, it helped me to fix my daughter's phone!❤
Your welcome
I think it's funny that by "cheaping out" they improved the durability.
Indeed, glass is slippery and breaks
I prefer the plastic back
very good 👍
Thank you
Thanks, i sorted it, kit only cost me £10, wouldve been much more expensive to send it somewhere. Did panic after i put it back together and my touch screen wouldnt work however after a full shutdown it worked again...couldve mentioned that, was panicking😂😂
Nice work!
@@rickstechrepairs i now have a mobile network issue...looks like the place i ordered it from may have sent me the wrong one and it isnt working with the antenna, i put my old port back in and the mobile network was working fine...
Thanks for the guide. My S20 only charges very slowly through charge port and no USB functions work. Is this usually charge port board fault or something on mainboard? There's no damage to the port itself.
I would be usually thinking charging board, which is what I replace in the video
@@rickstechrepairs I replaced it and it fixed the problem as well as fixing no sound from bottom speaker but now I cant use mobile data :( I got right model part but can see some empty solder pads compared to original. any idea where to buy good charger boards?
Thank you
You're welcome
Hi my sim card not shows network after replacing charge connection kit
Thanks for the video. Can you replace the charging port bord from 4g to 5g. So I can upgrade my phone without upgrading if you know what I mean?
the 4G/5G side of things is on the mainboard changing the charging board wont change that
My phone died when it was low on charge and I was trying to charge it and it never turned on I took it to a repair shop and now the bottom microphone is not working it's completely dead I can't send voice messages or use the mic on Google or even RUclips I think they stole it what do you think ? Could it be that it isn't attached properly?
Can you pls tell if we change the charging port anywhere outside (not in samsung) does it effect the gas kit protection in charging port ? Pls answer
water proof protection? changing the port to another region would be fine but it might affect signal strength
@@rickstechrepairsthere are different regions for the charging port? Why would that affect the signal strength?
I also prefer the plastic back. Lord knows how many times my note 8s back glass broke
when have a glass back when it makes it so slippery
My port literally SHOT out the cable. Naturally i cleaned it, but ended up damaging the port in the process. I wasnt doing it smart. Now i want to replace it myself
Good luck
So out of nowhere one evening my charging cord would no longer go into the charger port. After watching this video, I ordered the part and was able to replace the part following these instructions. Now the problem starts. After replacing the charging board and re-assembling phone, my phone will no longer turn on. If I plug it into the charger (which is no longer a problem), the phone will buzz and sometimes make a sound, but will NOT turn on as normal. I have since had to take it to a repair shop and was instructed that I SHOULD HAVE removed the battery board, which was instructed to skip that part in the video. I was informed that it was more than likely SHORTED OUT from not disconnecting the battery. I was quoted $150 to now repair a phone that was just "repaired". What do I do NOW?? He told me the phone WAS on and the screen was damaged. I insisted I sis not even touch the screen, he then said it was probably shorted out, which I told him I did not touch the battery. That is when he told me I should have disconnected the battery first.
So out of desperation, I went back and removed the new part and replaced the old part. Lo and behold, everything is working!! It was installed properly and your advice to skip the battery disconnect was accurate. I'm so glad I didn't spend $150 to fix something that wasn't even broken! I am going to return the part I ordered and get another if I find the charging port to still be an issue. Thank you for your thorough and easy to follow instructions! You saved quite a bit of money!

Thanks azim
Replaced the charging port but problem is exactly the same. Any Ideas?
Did anyone else experience this?
Did you ever figure it out?
I'll just buy a new phone
or take it to a independent repair center and pay about $50AUD/$30USD for it to be done for you
why are you even here
did it work? you didnt show that it worked after the switch!
Of course it worked
