Thanks for this vid, phone was failing to charge, replacement daughter board for €12 and up and working again using your video as a guide 👍. It wasn't completely smooth sailing, when plugged in after swapping the boards got a temperature error sign and wouldn't charge. On googling found a tiktok that indicated faulty temp sensor, scratched that off the daughter board, put back together and now fast charging again like when new. Thanks again, John

Good to read this has helped
The Majority of the Temp / Moisture sensors on the replacement of charger ports on the net seems to be a major issue

I think it's funny that by "cheaping out" they improved the durability.

Thanks for the guide. My S20 only charges very slowly through charge port and no USB functions work. Is this usually charge port board fault or something on mainboard? There's no damage to the port itself.

I would be usually thinking charging board, which is what I replace in the video

So out of nowhere one evening my charging cord would no longer go into the charger port. After watching this video, I ordered the part and was able to replace the part following these instructions. Now the problem starts. After replacing the charging board and re-assembling phone, my phone will no longer turn on. If I plug it into the charger (which is no longer a problem), the phone will buzz and sometimes make a sound, but will NOT turn on as normal. I have since had to take it to a repair shop and was instructed that I SHOULD HAVE removed the battery board, which was instructed to skip that part in the video. I was informed that it was more than likely SHORTED OUT from not disconnecting the battery. I was quoted $150 to now repair a phone that was just "repaired". What do I do NOW?? He told me the phone WAS on and the screen was damaged. I insisted I sis not even touch the screen, he then said it was probably shorted out, which I told him I did not touch the battery. That is when he told me I should have disconnected the battery first.

So out of desperation, I went back and removed the new part and replaced the old part. Lo and behold, everything is working!! It was installed properly and your advice to skip the battery disconnect was accurate. I'm so glad I didn't spend $150 to fix something that wasn't even broken! I am going to return the part I ordered and get another if I find the charging port to still be an issue. Thank you for your thorough and easy to follow instructions! You saved quite a bit of money!
