I have had the Paasche H since 2008 and It works just as good today as it did then. Keeping it clean is the reason why. Paasche is just a great airbrush period. Have a great weekend buddy. Terry
Wise words - A good craftsman of anything 'always' looks after all his/her tools and equipment. It's part of the job, and if you take a pride in having sharp edges, tidy toolboxes, oiled wrenches, clean pliers and tweezers - no matter how old they are - Don't open cans or set nails with your screwdrivers, or knock bricks around with your spirit level, scratch holes in plaster or lift floorboards with your chisels - It all contributes to a desirable 'Zen' mindset of doing the best job you can. I really like this guy. You can have a untidy workbench but every few days - Tidy it up, change your blades, clean your tools. It's therapeutic to start a job when you can keep the smooth creative flow going, without cursing things for being bent, dirty, lost and broken. Bad workman always blames...you know it.
Cleaning your equipment is a necessary evil if you want your things to perform at an optimal level. Taking the time to clean things is time well spent. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the lesson on how to clean the air brushes I have one of the brushes for clear I have one airbrush that’s for a dark colors I have an airbrush that’s for light colors and I keep an airbrush for white
No different than cleaning my full size spray guns for 1 to 1 if you want great results cleanliness is close to Godliness...pipe cleaners and small bottle brushes are great for cleaning and some can be found at HFT a long with 3M spray gun cleaner in a large spray can $6.99 at harbor freight. And your 100% right old man beats the spray can any day!!
Cleaning an airbrush is a small price to pay when considering the alternative, using a rattle can. I have had success with a rattlecan but I get far more consistent results with an airbrush.
I have . The booth is kept at 72 degrees as is the paint storage area so there is no real reason to do so . Warming the cans help activate the propellant
Good solid advice. Have had my Model H for ten years and no problems with it, disassemble/ clean after each use similar to the way you demonstrated. Hadn’t thought about using the small applicators until I saw this.
Cleanliness is next to Godliness, you clean your ass, laundry and your hand gun ..... why wouldn't you take 10 minutes to clean your airbrush ? As always, good video.

I have used Pipe Cleaners to get in tight spots for about 40 years along with Q-tips worked out great for me
By the way I am using the same H that I bought in 1980😁

How do you mix your paint when airbrushing? I mean what do you use and how much do you use to thin out paint?

Hi Donn, I want to do a two tone, can I use a gloss enamel on the bottom and a metallic on top? Or would that present a sanding problem? Thanx!
Yes , you can . No problems with sanding either as long as you sand the complete body overall …
@@ScaleModelTechniques Thank you !!
Hi Donn, you mentioned that you put your rattle can paint in hot water for a few min. Do you also do that with your airbrush paint?

rc buddy of mine swears by Oreily's brake cleaner 🤔🤪

It took 8 minutes because you were talking along the way. 🤷♀️ I don't understand people who complain about cleaning tools. 🙄

Great 8 minutes!
Ultrsonic cleaners?
I'm not able to find the model master Metalizer spray paint anywhere.
It's been discontinued.
can you just put this stuff in an ultra sonic cleaner or will that not work
get a small flat blade screwdriver and screw piece out of the tip and clean more- most people don't know it comes out--
