As a strength coach I truly appreciate what coach Hobbs is talking about he understands the importance of getting strong and translating that to the technical elements of practice and then the performance on the mound and what it takes to track that and ultimately get a great result.

@ 100%! Coolest story was him talking about the freshman that threw 98 but didn’t pitch until his junior year cause he was physically prepared to withstand that velocity. Obviously only a few programs have the luxury to hold talented arms like that back, but speaks volume to his understanding of health and the importance of strength and stability when producing max velocities

Hobbs is a pitching nerd. I’m convinced there’s nothing he doesn’t know about it. Glad he’s on our side! WPS

Knows everything but explains it to an 18 year old kid in a way they can understand. It’s the perfect mix

Awesome video. Loved the discussion about playing the game on 1 leg. Been trying to hammer that into my sons brain.

Explains complex problems in an extremely simple to understand way. Also prioritizes the game results first and foremost which I think is under appreciated when you have access to that much tech.
