Oregon is an up and coming team since they got their coaching and NIL in line. I do see a rivalry brewing between the two teams. One interesting stat I saw was Oregon has lost 3 games or more in 2 of the last 4 seasons. That most likely will not get them into the playoffs. Ohio State has lost 3 or more twice in last 20 seasons.
I root for the real osu (Beavs) all but the Civil War game, Washington had always been the bigger rival in my eyes #HuckTheFuskies! Oh and It's ALWAYS a good day to #BustANut, never liked Ohio even prior to the B1G move. Go Ducks! 🦆🦆
A true rivalry has to have some level of genuine hate, so if u want a true rivalry with Ohio St, take some notes from Michigan… -Try to be greedy with land boundaries & waterways -Act like you’re superior even though you haven’t been superior since WWI. -have most all your legendary players & coaches be from the state of Ohio -view yourself as Saban’s Bama, while in reality you’re modern stats are on par with Ferentz’s Iowa -constantly tout your stats from the 1800s -cheat in historic fashion to rebuild your program and be relevant, and pretend you didn’t -have your former iconic QBs be known for the biggest cheating scandals in both the ncaa (harbaugh) and the NFL (Brady). -don’t know how to win with class… (try to plant flags, have coaches wave byebye at opposing fans etc) -whine about your rival’s total NIL spending and then immediately offer half that amount to 1 single HS recruit -have 5losses despite spending $16mill on NIL, but whine about your rival winning a natty with only $4mill more …I could go on
Ohio State alumnus, lived in the Portland area since 1996 (Scappoose since 2004). Oregon - Ohio State already feels like more of a rivalry than Penn State ever has since before I made the move from Cincinnati. And, no, the Columbia River does not split the UW-UO rivalry. More like the Cowlitz River.
Ohio State current rivals are Penn State and OF COURSE *ichigan. I can see Oregon joining that group. However, neither Penn State or Oregon will reach the rival staus *ichigan has. Way too much history.
The past 4 meetings is split 2-2. Oregon should had won by at least 10 in the regular season game. Buckeye fans love to bring up the shenanigans at the end of the game but overlook the INT non-call that was never reviewed leading to 7 points.
@SpontaneousOracle Yeah, I didn't say you were, I actually thought you might had been a Michigan fan lol. But if you look at recent history it has been a back and forth. And a lot of people for some reason tend to forget ohio state was gifted 7 points on the first drive with an obvious INT that was never reviewed.

Let's Go B1G CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP 2025 Oregon Ducks

Michigan State and USC should start a new rivalry. Spartans vs Trojans!!!

I don't think it will be much of a rivalry. OREGON won 1 game by 1 point and got emasculated in the rematch.

@kron-dean-ic I'm not a Buckeye fan. I'm a Miami Hurricane. Just making an observation.

@kron-dean-ic the final score was 41 to 21. Adding 7 points wouldn't have made much difference.
@@kron-dean-ic subtracting sorry.
