- U.S. Air Force Special Operators | PJ, TACP, CCT, SR
- Pararescuemen (also known as PJs) are United States Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) and Air Combat Command (ACC) operators tasked with recovery and medical treatment of personnel in humanitarian and combat environments.
- A United States Air Force Tactical Air Control Party, commonly abbreviated TACP, refers to an individual or team of United States Air Force Special Warfare Airmen with AFSC 1Z3X1, who are aligned with conventional, Special Operation Forces, and Tier 1 combat maneuver units to provide precision terminal attack guidance of U.S. and coalition fixed- and rotary-wing close air support aircraft, artillery, and naval gunfire; establish and maintain command and control (C2) communications; and advise ground commanders on the best use of air power.
- United States Air Force Combat Control Teams, singular Combat Controller (CCT) (AFSC 1Z2X1), are an elite American special operations force (specifically known as "special tactics operators") who specialize in all aspects of air-ground communication, including air traffic control, fire support (including fixed and rotary wing close air support), and command, control, and communications in covert, forward, or austere environments.
- Special Reconnaissance (SR)-formerly Special Operations Weather Technician or Team (SOWT)-is conducted by trained Air Force personnel assigned to Special Tactics Squadrons of the United States Air Force Special Operations Command who operate deep behind enemy lines to conduct covert direction of air and missile attacks, place remotely monitored sensors, and support other special operation units.

Combat Controllers (CCT) are ground combat forces specialized in a traditional pathfinder role while having a heavy emphasis on simultaneous air traffic control, fire support (via airstrikes, close air support and command, control, and communications in covert or austere environments.
Pararescuemen (PJ) are the only Department of Defense specialty specifically trained and equipped to conduct conventional and unconventional personnel recovery operations. A PJ's primary function is as a personnel recovery specialist with emergency trauma medical capabilities in humanitarian and combat environments.
Special Reconnaissance (SR) conduct long-range interdiction, surveillance and intelligence gathering. A subset of their responsibilities is to assess and interpret weather and environmental intelligence from forward-deployed locations, working alongside special operations forces.

Everyone wants to be in Special forces community, no one wants to clean the toilet.
Good. Cleaning the toilet is for losers. Spec Ops is the only way to go nowadays. The regular military is a terrible.
So who's gonna clean the toilets?

I find it awesome that 3 of the 4 USAF units listed are among the most highly trained units in the entire U.S. military.
I expected the PJ's to have the highest wash out rate but surprisingly it's the CCT's.
People/veterans often criticize the USAF for their posh lifestyle without taking into account the contributions of the branch in its entirety.
That's because they are all tier 1 units the Army and Navy have one tier 1 unit and rest are tier 2 units
@@alexmason2659 that’s incorrect no unit displayed in the video is tier 1
@@dwaynejohnson3656 actually yes they are most of these groups are placed together making up the 24th Special Tactics Squadron which is the US Air force tier 1 unit but you don't know or have any knowledge of the US Military
@@alexmason2659 no bro you clearly don’t know what you are talking about just because these guys have the opportunity to go to a tier 1 unit(24th sts) doesn’t mean they are tier 1....they are still in their tier 2 units and when they go screen and pass selection they then are a part of a tier 1 unit educate yourself
@baileyboy73 baileyboy73 that would be the 24th STS.
I was a Navy air traffic controller for 6 years. Our wash out rate at the schoolhouse was about 60-70%, then add A&S, dive school and the crazy physical standards it’s no wonder why CCT has such a high wash out rate.
Nice breakdown of the USAF special ops members

quick question... hasn't drones and satelites largely replaced SR's? when it comes to getting info on targets for future aircraft bombing missions, wouldn't drones pretty much solve that problem of recon, along with the ground assets that the Army and marine corps already have?
Does anyone know how common it is to pull/sprain/tear a muscle in the back ?It’s my second time injuring my back and I deal with it but it’s quite annoying. Any advice/tips on avoiding injury through sw prep, a&s, and the pipeline.
Sounds like overuse my man. Or that an area around it is weak and causing it to over compensate. I would rest it and see if you can strengthen areas around it as well! Good luck man, I’ll be heading out soon as well.
Try strengthening your other areas to include joints. Lower back is going to get worked regardless, but slowly strengthening your areas will help your lower back pain. Also try icing, stretching your hips, hydrating well, and getting adequate amounts of recovery.
Personally I've never heard of it, nor experienced little if any discomfort in my back, even doing pull ups every day
maybe you should call a doctor & not ask youtube you lunatic
no joke stretching and yoga... most injury occurs because muscles become to tight with weights/or imbalance in muscle strength.
Yo Way Yo
What is that m lok rail they're using that fits around the front sight post?
I want one
Apparently they’re called FSP rails, simply look up mlok fsp and you should get some results
The only (that I'm aware of) company that makes an M-LOK FSP rail is Centurion Arms. Daniel Defense makes an pictinny version, similar to the MK18 rail.
Its a troy mlok FSP rail

The one thing I will say about the AF Special Warfare guys in this video, their CQB movements look REALLY rough. But, I guess DA (Direct Action) are not any of these guys bread & butter. They're good at their specific skill set, but they're definitely not the type of units I would send out for kill/capture HVT missions.
Dev and Delta are definitely more capable than PJs. Pjs are support elements of tier 1 operators.
If the 24 STS can work right alongside the units you mentioned I'd say they are just as capable. And from what I understand to get in the 24th it's also a really hard selection process... It's not just a unit they can go to out of the pipeline.
I thought that was arma 3 with the video photo
So what’s the difference between cct and tacp? Everything seems the blend together
TACP are by default attached to conventional units for conventional missions, unless the particular TACP tries for and passes a SOF TACP selection; CCT are all SOF by default, and are attached to SOF units. CCT get dive school and freefall as a standard portion of their pipeline, while TACP does not; CCT apprentice course includes demolition, small unit tactics, and other courses not in the TACP pipeline; CCTs are FAA qualified ATCs as standard, while TACPs are not; TACP primary tasking is CAS and calling indirect fires for the host unit, while the primary tasking of CCTs is airfield and/or LZ/DZ preparation and controlling of stacked aircraft tasked with landing, utilizing and/or protecting that airfield/LZ/DZ.
So basically TACP work more with traditional regular army. CCT as automatically working with Ranger Bat., SF, SEALS, GB, and other tier 2 and 1 units.
@@samueljosephgarza generally true, TACP works with the conventional US Army units (and sometimes the USMC) and CCTs work with the Rangers, SEALs, Green Berets, and sometimes MARSOC/Force Recon etc. Sometimes there are some (very few) TACP that go through dive school, jump school, Ranger school, etc and can he assigned to the Special Operations units and CCTs can work with conventional units.
What about SOST???
Dont forget SOST
❤️🌎🌍🌹🦅
Not the sexy or the most talk about when it comes to special unit when comparing to navy seal, green beret, or marsoc..but always ready when need to be called..

Are PJ's using mk18?
Hold up 0:42 was that a AH-1Z and a Huey Venom 0:56 United States Marine Corps helicopter’s I didn’t even know USMC and USAF go on mixed operations
Yup, they do. All the branches have mixed operations one way or another. The Marine aircraft could be operating from a nearby amphibious assault ship or air field closest to the USAF unit just as a USMC unit could have air support from the USAF.
Has all the world militaries established these same groups? Or are these forces the natural course that come to all militaries?

Do you know what you are talking about? All of the jobs depicted in this video train hard to be part of the battle as force multipliers.
