You can hate the truth all you want but the simple fact is, it's different for boys. boys can't get pregnant and usually, boys don't get raped, etc. girls can, and yes, it's a difference. Walshes are from the Midwest and they were always more conservative and they were simply worried. now parents let kids do whatever at 18, and many girls end up raped and murdered. Brandon NEVER did things like this back when they were in high school and still minors, so that's why Jim and Cindy were harsher with Brenda - because she did break their trust back in high school, Brandon didn't. the only time he did was when he got drunk and crashed his car, but this was an exception with Brandon, exactly because he was always so good and responsible, that he needed to rebel once. Brenda was a rebel all the time.
