Kelly calls Dylan selfish because he doesn't want to go to the freshman pool party! #BeverlyHills90210 | Now streaming on Paramount+ Where to watch: para.mt/90210
Kelly seemed happier with any other random guy she had a conversation with than with her boyfriend who she has dreamed about since childhood and is supposed to be the love of her life Girl you can be wrong in life it wasn't what you thought leave him and move on instead of wasting your breath all the time😭
Behind the scenes drama..Shannen was late due to her father getting ill..and they always scolded her and she gave them the attitude back. Which led producers to give Jennie Garth a better story. What I don't understand is how Jennie Garth didn't have shannen's back or sympathy
I like when Dylan talks about literature. This is unfortunately too rare in the series. The reference to Lord Byron at the start of the series. Here with Kerouac. Balzac, Rimbaud and Baudelaire with Brenda. It seems to me that he is having a conversation about Bukowski with Andrea too. Generally speaking, Dylan's passion for literature was underexploited, yet it was an interesting part of the character.
Dylan talked about literature in the first episode he was in. Brandon--who is supposed to work on the campus paper is genuinely shocked people his age (at least on the show) read just for the fun of it. If he had to cheat on Brenda, he should have picked Andrea since she was 'from the wrong side of the tracks' brooded and read for fun. Far more believable.
wow, kelly is ridiculous. here we have dylan who is showing true genuine interesting and excitement in his academics, learning, expanding his knowledge. instead of encouraging dylan to pursue his interest in literature and attend this lecture, kelly accosts him for not going with her to some random pool party. so basically rather than seeing dylan do well academically and have a positive direction in life, kelly just cares about herself. typical from her character
She always wanted him to be more interested in academics and now she is acting like this. She always wants Dylan to be however she wants at the moment. So fickle.
John Sears as a character creeped me out as a kid/teen when I first watched this show, and seeing this as a full grown adult, he comes across as a straight up predator now. Kelly and Dylan never worked as a long term couple because once the warm haze of the honeymoon period dissipated, they didn’t have enough in common or want to put in the communication work required. They loved the idea of each other.
kelly straight out ignored the fact that dylan was not a social butterfly like her. to call dylan selfish just b/c he wasn't interested in following her around like a pet dog to every campus event was wild to me. there was nothing wrong w/her going on her own or w/her friends (specifically donna) to different events. that's just part of the college experience. look, the fact that dylan was finding his own interests w/college was a big deal. we knew he loved to read, was into poetry and literature so i won't fault him for wanting to find his own lane, as he should. plus, dylan made it to the party anyways. just thought it was completely selfish of her to make everything about her. me. me. me. i can't entirely say it's surprising b/c this has been her character, and she got worse as the series went on. 😒
i really like this version of david. this is the more sincere, nice, warm guy that appeared in seasons 1/2. until they kind of slowly started to make his character become a bit more a s s h o l i s h.
Why are you with him then girl?!😭 I mean I understand you've dreamed of him since childhood and you even ruined your most important friendship just to have a chance with him but if it's not what you thought and he doesn't even value you it's just a useless waste of time and energy to force this relationship...
Kelly didn't know Dylan since childhood--that was something the writers retconned so they could attempt to place the two of them together. In the first season she makes it clear she does not know him. Otherwise she would have been talking about their childhood together in the hallway. Dreaming about a crush (regardless of when you've known somebody) can be different than being with them---including when people do have different interests, ideas and/or needs. Physical attraction is not the only thing in a good relationship
They had several during the series ---Robbinson Ashe III and his family were supposed to be the Walsh's next door neighbors but after one episode we never hear from them again. I think this episode was an attempted back door pilot (witness how many times Brandon says the guys full name in 10 seconds) but it never was picked up. D'Shawn Hardell was in several episodes. He should have been added to the main cast. Ditto for Henry Thomas who ran the beach club. he would have been far more believable as the owner of the peach pit after dark. If the peach pit after dark was only open at night, he'd have plenty of time to watch his daytime soap.
Kelly was the selfish one here not Dylan. She wanted to go to some dumb pool party and Dylan was more interested in learning. Just cause she didn’t get her way the pouting comes out and she starts to throw her fissy fit.
Jack Kerouac lived with his mother because he was gay 😊.. Dylan McKay had a thing for gay men.. Lord Byron, James Dean and Kerouac.. etc he also had a charming affection towards Brandon.. of Brandon for him.
...WHAT did you say, Girl!??? (1:18) ...Pots and KETTLES, Kel.... and, Brenda, SHUSH! (2:03) ...that Black crop-top...on an *INTERVIEW* ...already sealed your fate (2:19) .... Also, what is Donna HIDING under that Baseball Cap!? (2:37) ...Ray Pruitt, where ARE You!? ...ha-HAAA!!
Geeees can he be more cheesy. And no offense but John looks and sounds like someone who would have completely different tastes than Kelly if you know what I mean
I thought season 4 was the series conceding that Brenda and Dylan belonged together. I'm sure if the behind the scenes issues with Shannen could have been resolved, the two of them would be back together
Kelly seemed happier with any other random guy she had a conversation with than with her boyfriend who she has dreamed about since childhood and is supposed to be the love of her life
Girl you can be wrong in life it wasn't what you thought leave him and move on instead of wasting your breath all the time😭
She was happy with anyone cute guy calling her pretty.🙄
They were both jerks I never forgave either one of them for what they did to Brenda
Kelly has alot of nerve...the writers really pushed to get sympathy for her. What she did to her "best" friend I will never forget.
Not excusing Kelly, but I always got the impression Donna was her best friend, not Brenda.
Behind the scenes drama..Shannen was late due to her father getting ill..and they always scolded her and she gave them the attitude back. Which led producers to give Jennie Garth a better story. What I don't understand is how Jennie Garth didn't have shannen's back or sympathy
@@theresagwhite3175I agree, but I would feel the same if she had done this to Donna or even Andrea.
@@deedeestardust2535 am sure. Kelly would have had no compunction in going after Brandon if he and Andrea were dating.
Kelly and Dylan relationship didn't work out because they did things the wrong way.
These clips just show how freaking incompatible Dylan and Kelly were.
And the fans are as blind as a bat when seeing it

@robinorlowski2449 He didn't cheat on Brenda. They had already broken up, and she was seeing other people as well like Rick
I liked it too when Dylan talked about literature. It was a cool part of his character
@@tony1876 Season three Brenda goes for a walk with Kelly and Dylan. Her reaction was not from somebody who had 'broken up'
Kelly called Dylan selfish, actually it’s more THE OTHER WAY AROUND
She calls Dylan selfish? If that’s not calling the fucking kettle black😂
😂😂😂
Dylan's compromise makes sense except to airhead Kelly.
Dylan is the Selfish one? She better look at the mirror if she want to see someone Selfish
You don’t have to be Madame Zorina to see their relationship is doomed.

And still has the nerve to call him selfish! 🤦🏻♀️
@@carleenohalloran8975Refresh my memory. I can't seem to recall Kelly ever caring about Dylan's academics 😂 That sounds more like Brenda.
Kelly was flirting with John Sears.
Sears was nothing but TROUBLE
And Kelly flirted with him because she had little self respect
So what? I would do if my man is crap

true!
@@NaticzkaKaminskaHenryDolphin he reminds me of Gaston in the beauty and the beast cartoon. They should have cast him for the live action version.

What season is this episode?
John is way older…or looks like it 😄
being obnoxious and hateful towards others can do that to people.
