@@RetroWK yeah they are both two great machines. Although as a former Atari ST user I always felt that I should’ve saved up for the Amiga with an extra midi interface. And having now played and own several Amigas I can confirm I should’ve saved up a bit more back in 1990. But I have great memories of the ST. The great thing is that we can now own all of them without breaking the bank.
@@CallousCoder Yep. Yesterday I bought a first Gen 260ST with (hopefully) the boot roms. At least it comes with the System disc. Fingers crossed. Video coming soon!
@@RetroWK a guy in NL also had one for sale. I was in doubt but passed on it. As I still have a great 1024ST and a 1024STe with 4MB that I recently bought from him too.
Great, I'm thinking about this mod for a long time for my dead SF314. I think I have to do it finally.
Nice job with the Gotek.
Nice!
You can also yank the original jack and install a newer more reasonable one.
Yep. Or solder a cable directly to the pcb. I just try to keep things as stock as possible.
DO you feel like a traitor working on an ST as an Amiga guy?
I had that when I started working the last few years on an Amiga, being an old ST guy :D
I made peace with the Atari a long time ago and even member of Abbuc now. So it feels strange, but I can see the appeal.
