- Vietnamese Mayo⤵️
3 egg yolks
1 cup vegetable oil
1/2 tsp garlic salt
You can do this by hand or with a machine (food processor, hand held/ stand mixer. This takes some time so your hands will be sore if you chose to do it that route
1. Mix 3 egg yolks until slightly foamy/ you start to see bubbles. You won’t see a lot of bubbles… probably 4 or 5
2. Once you start to see a little bit of bubbles, pour in a little bit of vegetable at a time… like 1 TBSP at a time. And blend. Do this until all of your vegetable oil is gone. Blend for 1-2 minutes in between each oil pour
3. Once your oil is all gone, add 1/2 tsp garlic pour and blend until well combined. Enjoy mayo with Vietnamese styler sandwiches or any kind of sandwich
she just had fun yelling the instructions to us 🤣
Definitely XD
😁
Exactly, but I am not complaining let mama have fun 🤣

The baby was expecting it just like "Well here we go"
He knows his mom 😌
I know right. he is always so calm when he is watching what she is doing. I always imagine that he is gonna love cooking with her.
Its a good thing,it means he's used to loud noises. Which means he can sleep through them too. When you first have a kid you don't want then used to silence or they'll always get upset.
Make me laugh every time!😂🤣 can't with you anymore girl!😂🤣😂🤣
Your dry humor is everything!! My mood 99% of the time🤣💕 thanks for cheering my mood up
Don't ever change, best cooking show ever. Good food and laughs what more could you ask for.

Vietnamese mayo is my favorite and I'm so excited to have a recipe to try now! the first time I had a Bahn mi (with Vietnamese mayo, obviously) was life changing.. I was maybe 5 and I'm 19 now. still my favorite. 💖
Lol. Love the humor in your videos.
You r so FUNNY. Love the funny faces. I also gave tried some of your recipes. Thanks
I don't know why but I live for the realism of these -- child chaos rampant in the background. A testament to a good recipe when she showcases multitasking youngsters with cooking.
It is always fun watching you! That funny antics! Just love it❤ thank you for sharing your recipe
riley is getting so big🥹🥹 also you’ve gotten so much more comfortable on your channel throughout the years & we love to see it!!! go mamaaaa

I don't know what's better! Your good looking food or your sense of humor 🤣🤣🤣. Your food ALWAYS looks so good and you are HILARIOUS 🤣🤣🤣
Wow first time seeing s.o make this mayo with a blender! Gonna use the blender next time cuz I always saw ppl did it with the mixer and guess what? I literally whisked that thing for almost 30mins by hand 💀 but it's worth it though. I always love "bơ trứng" hehe! Oh and some recipes put in some lime drops and it taste amazing too!
This mayo is super rich... I love it! I Must make it 😋😋😋👏💯
You ate hilarious!! Love watching your videos!! Your the best. Blessings to you and you're precious family ❤
Your a delight, cute and funny with your dry sense of humor
Looks so amazing 👏 😍 💖
Yo Queen- Newbie cook here
#1 Thanks for these bomb recipes, I’m obsessed with the pickled veggies!
#2 I phucked up. I used a blender on low because I didn’t trust my food processor. Every was going PERFECT….until I started ramping up the speed. Now it’s soup 💔 did I kill it by blending it too fast? I’m happy to learn from my failings but only if I can learn 😂
Hello from Sydney Australia I always go to the Vietnamese bakerya here and they sell and make pork rolls chicken rolls etc and I always ask for the extra butter now I know how to make it thankyou yum-yum
It's funny because it's suuuuper similar to a classic Spanish sauce called allioli, but in the inverse order hahaha. First, some garlic, crush them until you have a paste, then add the eggs to make that paste lighter and then, bit by bit, some oil to get the sauce together.
If your food processor’s lid has holes at the top you can just pour the oil in the indentations on the lid. Love your videos!
Your baby is literally like the cutest thing!!!😍😍😍
oh? we do it like this in romania too, but some people use mustard instead of garlic, instead of vegetable oil we mainly use sunflower oil and last but not least, we add just a little bit of lemon juice, we mix it until it is very light at colour, smooth and creamy :p i can't eat it by it's self but in my opinion it goes well with boiled/roasted potatoes 😋
As someone that loves the mayo with olive oil in it, this looks fantastic
Always nice seeing you posted
I love watching this baby watching her!
Pretty much the French mayo… love your videos!
French mayo has salt and mustard in it and it doesn't have garlic. Hi from France!
This is closer to aioli than to French mayo, but really it is its own thing. My guess is that the lack of salt is because you’d get salt from other ingredients when cooking Vietnamese food.
Modern aioli often has a mayo base. Old style aioli is usually an emulsion of an acid (vinegar or lemon juice), a lipid (olive oil) and garlic, with salt to taste and water to adjust thickness.
No vinegar or lemon juice in this or in French Mayo???
I teally Loved the little blender
i love your videos so much your humor is amazing you have me laughing so hard. as a SAHM of 3 i really need these laughs so thank you
I see that you do so much but you still make time to be silly and have fun!
God bless you.
I.m white, but that's the same way I make mayo(i don't always add the garlic powder).
In my country also for holidays we make a french salad with chicken, boiled vegetables and mayo. And for that purpose when making the mayo, we add an extra hard boiled egg yolk and lemon.
You always kill me with you funny faces 🤣😂
Yaaaaaaaay I saw ADAMMMMMMM.... this little angel is my like my daily drug..... Ahh my day just started. Thanks Adam baby.... I hear AJ hehe our scorpion boy. Thank you soooooooooo much 💕 love love and blessings ❣️🌹😊
Thank you 🙏 I will make this for my son
The crazy face gets me every time! 🤪😂❤️
I love watching you. You crack me up
This yellow people Mayo sounds good!
There's different yellow people types of mayo so u should make a distinction. We all know the white people kind of mayo
In the middle east we have toum same thing you just made but with fresh garlic and lemon juice. Its so yummy on grilled chicken or lamb wrapped in pita bread
You are hilarioussss!!!😂😂😂😂😂👍
Def gonna try this one!
AND BLEND!!!! 😂😂😂😂
Lol! Love your videos. You should make a vietnamese chicken pate
Thank you I made it, and it turned out great!
I LOOOVVEE UR VIDEOS!! Ur so hilarious and u have such great recipes!!
Great video. We're where you can't find a lot of Asian flavorings! Sometimes you can't even find good soy sauce! Thank gosh for Amazon!
I like when you yell at us, it's making me laugh like crazy!!!
Thats almost like alioli. In catalonia we put garlic gloves and egg, and then we add little by little the olive oil while removing it in that same machine. It has to have that same texture. Delicious!
Vietnamese mayo is my favorite. It's great in banh mi and pate
Thank you for sharing!
I absolutely adore your personality!
gotta try this!!! I have a food processor like that and it has a little hole in the lid so you can pour liquids in while processing, without having to stop and open it.
Ooooh! I love it! Will make this sooooon 🫶🏽
It's so thick it looks like butter 🤩❤
I enjoyed this recipe with the sentence endings at high volume. I also enjoyed the little echo in the background. 🤣😂🤣😂🙂🙂
This is how I learned to make homemade mayo as a Romanian too, minus the garlic powder. Although Romanians are known for putting garlic in everything to keep the vampires away🫢. Definitely a good arm workout too since we never used machines 🥲.
I was just about to comment the same!! This is exactly how my Romanian grandmother used to make mayo at home. All by hand without any risk of separation! Crazy.
adam is literally the cutest child i have ever seen omfggggggg
That shade was exquisite
That’s how my mom taught me how to make mayo, it is the best mayo.
Yep, I use olive oil instead of vegetable oil & omit the garlic powder.
Fyi, don't try this if it's raining. Keeping it from separating is...difficult.
@@SusanKay- Sure, I get that, but I have allergies. If I'm going to the trouble of making homemade mayo, I'm omitting the garlic because it works better with the recipes I use. For example, deviled eggs, egg salad, chicken salad, tartar sauce, coleslaw, etc.
I have a yeast allergy. So, I'm not supposed to have soy sauce. That severely limits my Asian recipes, and therefore, Vietnamese garlic mayo.
Can you give me the recipe how to make mayonnaise in the blender or the one your mother taught you. So I can make it for my children. Much appreciated.
Can you please teach me how to do your mom mayonnaise.
@@mirellaflorens993 Sure! I don’t have exact measurements because at home we do everything by feel but you need one egg yolk, and vegetable oil (anything unflavored like sunflower or canola), you can add a teaspoon of mustard to add a kick to the mayo but it’s optional. You start with your egg yolk, blend it or beat it with a hand mixer, and slowly add your oil incorporating it little by little until you reach a firm consistency. When it’s done you add a bit of salt, pepper if you like and if your kids like it either garlic powder or freshly crushed garlic! It’s very easy.
Your vids inspire me to cook
This looks so good. You are sooooo funny!!!!!

Love your videos!! I thought I saw your previous reel, and you're actually correct that in Vietnam, we call it butter, not mayo! Like the bánh tráng bơ!
You're such a goof and I love it.

That legit looks good. My question is can you use different oil, or should it be vegetable oil? 🤔♥️
Thank you so much sis!!

I'm so giving this a try today. I can make home made mayo but it never has that almost fluffy texture the store did has and it tastes different. Maybe this will work better for me.
Hoping you would help us with the Vietnamese Mayo after watching you make the amazing breakfast sandwich - thank you!!!
That looked delicious.
