My first impression is that there is some cool stuff to mess with, but there are too many ways to get strong. Shield spamming just lets you stall, and hopefully you stumbled across something really strong on offense too, but if not, shield spam and emergency tokens go a loooong way. I haven't started the ascensions (or whatever they're called in this game) yet, but I feel like it's catering to a slightly more casual player base. Maybe if I ever get a few dozen hours logged I might have updated opinions about it.
