I'm a 15 year old high school jazz tenor player- I love your sound and I wish I could play like you- you're amazing, and you're my favorite modern jazz artist
Thanks so much!! That means a lot! Practice every day, even if it’s just for 15 minutes, and learn from the legends! Take care of the music and the music will take care of you!
Congrats to both of you young players! I highly recommend checking out some of Chad’s resources and practice aids! Great books to help you on your musical journey! And if you can check out his lessons and workshops, do it! So much great material and a wonderful instruction program! I’ve taken some courses and played through several of the books myself. Very good stuff! Best of luck!
Just a quick comment about the sound here Clearly it’s mostly in practice and technique, but I recently went with their Nexus mouthpiece and thought, “there’s only one size!?” Which eliminates so many variables to get that smooth sound and frankly it is much closer just with the mouthpiece
Man, you guys sound great as always!!! My Pops and I always enjoy listen to these Jazz tunes👊🏽👊🏽 Yo Chad, could you add "Pinocchio" to your playlist? I'd love to hear you guys play that tune! May the Legendary Shorter RIP🙏🏽
I'm a fan of many "Spiritual" jazz artists like John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, Joe Henderson, Bud Powell, at al.These two guys Chad and Cecil are great Jazz players and educators. thanks.
I can appreciate this style of jazz. It feels like it comes straight from the heart, and you're just playing what feels right. But at the same time. I giggle every now and then because it's so hard to keep tempo with songs like these, and everyone isn't always in rhythm, so it starts to sound like the rehearsal room at a competition 😂 Keep it up, though. This sounds fire!

Cecil absolutely shreds
Mano, o Cecil toca demais!!!!😍😍😍😍😍
It gets lost behind some of the flashier runs, but the lick at 2:58 is one of the most musical things I've ever heard someone play over this tune
Been listening to you for over four years and this is some of the most melodic I’ve heard you play; Chad hall of fame material
Joe is somewhere beaming at this!
My favorite tune. Thanks for sharing bro
