Hi, you asked for comments. The bed you mentioned to be ugly is just frame mattress (runkopatja in Finnish). It has legs and frame integrated to a mattress with springs. On top of it you'll put other layers, which will cover it all. Like many things in Finland and Nordic countries it's more about functionality than looks. The apartment seems to be a very basic student housing soluasunto, shared apartment. Here again more about functionality and affordability than looks or style. It is more a blank canvas for everyone to furnish to their own needs. I don't give grades, since you didn't show sauna. Impossible to say if it's liveable, tolerable of better, without essential information.
Haha, ur absolutely right! I didn't get to show you how cozy my room looks now, and yes the bed is comfortable and great it just looked ugly without anything on it like any other bed. Considering what we pay for this housing, this place is beyond great, my flatmate and I are so happy. I'll maybe drop a video showing the sauna at some point :p Thanks for your comment tho, it's good for students to know that.
