- Welcome to a slightly different take on the Preorder Roundup, where instead of just talking about the latest and greatest figures that went up for preorder in July, we're ranking them from best to worst as well. We'll still be discussing tons of figures from Good Smile Company, Max Factory, Alter, FREEing, and so on like we always do, but now with the added pressure of deciding their fate!

Just finished the video and I really like this kind of format for pre-order roundups. Its definitely more interesting than the previous style. Would like to see more like this in the future.

Fun video! I liked this format a lot! So, I actually ordered that 2010 racing miku scale the second she went up. I had been waiting for her PO since I saw the prototype revealed. It’s a little hard to explain, but I honestly thing they figure itself just looks so…clean and good? I adore the paint job and the sculpt. Her hair almost looks iridescent in parts, the shiny texture of the clothing is beautifully done, and her body sculpt looks realistic and natural to me in a way I feel like a lot of anime girl figures are not and I LOVE it (although I love goofy anime girl anatomy!). Her pose and face is really charming too. I totally understand why she isn’t for everyone, but for me, she is the perfect example of a simple concept executed REALLY well. My one and only complaint is the price, but I PO’d her on goodsmile US since she was put up after their recent price adjustment. So at least I’m getting a nice exchange rate :)
She's definitely pretty. In a bubble I think she's fantastic but I was letting the over saturation of miku figures cloud my judgement a bit with this figure, which isn't really fair but unfortunately it's just how I was feeling when I saw her and the price tag. A max factory figure is almost always going to be a 9/10 or better figure though, and even in this video I rated one of their figures super high just because of how much I liked it even though I know 90% of the people watching this video wouldn't care lol. Makes me happy seeing your excitement for her though!
@@ZuccoFigures Totally! No worries, I think your rating was totally fair, just wanted to explain the opinion of someone who was excited for her 😊 There are so many amazing Mikus of all kinds to choose from. You have to be picky. Max Factory is such a top tier company.

I love to see more fans of Umamusume! Daiwa Scarlet's scale is so amazing to me as well! Was also cool to see Kyouka in S tier as well as Princess Connect Re:Dive is one of my favorite franchises. I play both Uma and Princess Connect's gacha games daily, so I'm eyeing all figure announcements from both franchises!
Yeah, the last figure is really beautifull. I'm fan of the novel/donghua/manhua/drama that this figure is based on, and it was impossible for me to not preorder that !
The two rabbit have some meaning too, this is a nice touch, but yeah, why in the back.. xD

@@Mizuirotsuki Hehe, I watched Word of Honor a while ago, my favorite Chinese IP and then watched reviewer AvenueX , she's Chinese and talks about Chinese shows and explained a lot of the hidden/subtle stuff Western viewers wouldn't get while discussing the show and there was one part about them cleaning/cooking rabbits. 😏Also look up 兔儿神/Tu'er Shen

Oh!!! I am a resident Touken Ranbu fan and actually know quite a bit about the Orange Rouge thing. So they have actually been handling the 1/8th scale Touken Ranbu line for a while. Originally it was Max Factory's project but Orange Rouge took over around the time they started working on the Touken Ranbu nendoroids. They are all part of the same set meaning all the figures have the same base and are all in their vanilla pose from the game. The quality is what you would expect from Orange Rouge but the execution of the figure is very dependent on the character design since they are restricted to specific poses. Mutsunokami is very fortunate to have a fantastic design but the character they released right before him, Horikawa Kunihiro, has a very simple design and is a very small character but was still high demand since he is supposed to be paired with his more popular partner, Izuminokami Kanesada. I own both and if I weren't such a massive fan of these two characters I really couldn't recommend the Kunihiro to the average figure collector since his size and pose make him look more like a prize figure. And what is worse is Orange Rouge took over 2 years just to get him from the original prototype phase to the pre-order phase. Not sure why he took so long but it kinda became a meme among the fandom for a figure that really didn't sell. Because of this Mutsunokami's price has skyrocketed and fans are extremely upset about it. He is about twice the price of any other figure from this line and fans are desperately hoping he bargain bins. So Orange Rouge may be discontinuing this line entirely. It looks like they are going to be jumping into the pop up parade line for a while with Haikyuu and Tokyo Revengers, but I know Touken Ranbu fans are holding out that they will at least continue the nendoroid line because they really were the best nendoroids.
Thanks for giving me all this information. I don't own any orange rouge figures(though I have seen them in person thanks to my girlfriend) so it's hard to speak on their quality, but it would be kind of a shame to just drop the line altogether since I thought Mutsunokami looked great. I suppose its likely if people are staying away due to the price tag though, which makes me think about other companies and figure lines that are likely going through the same ordeal. People say figure prices will keep rising, but I honestly think that there's gotta be a breaking point eventually.
@@ZuccoFigures I agree. There are definitely more boys from this line I would love to see get a scale and I would also love to see them tackle their other franchises as well. I don't know exactly what happened from their perspective but I hope mutsunokami isn't the last scale they make.

Jumping in with everyone who's praising the format, it's nice to see how the figures stack up relative to each other. As for agreeing with your ratings.. I'd basically put everything one or two tiers down, I guess my standards are too high.. good for the wallet though.
My favorite from this month is probably the Kyoka one, it's cute and well done, though I don't care for the series or the character. Biggest WTF has got to be the quintuplets.. what where they thinking.
It's tough cause now that I'm putting a letter next to the figures, there's bigger chances for people to get mad at what I'm saying and think I'm trying to influence them not to be excited for their favorite figures. It's understandable though. If I was saying everything was mid it's just come off as being really negative, which isn't really the goal of this channel, but I do tend to lean a bit more towards positive reception even if I don't plan to buy certain figures anyway. I really think its just the way this tier list is presented which rubbed a couple of people(very few, since most people had nice things to say), the wrong way, so that's something for me to consider in the future.
Prisma Wing really is a strange company. I used to like covering their figures but I feel like once they finally start coming out there's gonna be some disappointment, and their rising price tags aren't really helping.
@@ZuccoFigures Yeah actually ranking them does give people an easy opportunity to get mad at something, I don't think you can help it. You can't cater to everyone after all, eventually those people will filter out, especially if it's only a few of them.
And I suppose you're right that saying everything is average doesn't make for an exciting video.
I don't have anything good to say about prisma wing as of now, I'm just really tired of these "more base than figure" designs. Hopefully their quality actually holds up though, I am curious.

The Lina Inverse haregi figure was a werid quick rerelease for September I think? I actually didn't know they did one and now is gone, sadness. Also I insta PO the Nana figures, I couldn't believe it when they were announced, it's been more than 10 fucking years of "hiatus" why now, idk but not complaining, love them even if we'll never know how it ends

I really want to but my life has been hectic lately and a lot of my collection is currently in boxes. I will eventually do it but the idea of just showing figures individually instead of having them all nicely displayed together doesn't sound too exciting to me

@@El_Ace That's spicy. I do like em, but the prices and quality control really aren't what they used to be. I have a solid amount but I really only order the "unique" ones as I like to call them these days. Nendoroids like Jack Frost, Shin Chan, Kirby, Arale, etc, where they go out of their way to sculpt them accurately to the source. I did simp for the Korone Nendoroid though lol, but that was before I even ordered the scale that I now own
@@ZuccoFigures true lol I only really dislike them cause I figure I might as well save up for a prize or scale and I agree with that nendoroid korone figure for the same reason I want the Jill Stingray one, that being I Don't know if they'll ever get anything else.

43:10 Uh, Orange Rogue makes Token Ranbu (game/anime) which is the line Mutsunotaki is from and yes the rest of his sword brothers are fucking amazing figures and I am trying to collect them all. Mikazuki Munechika, the "old man" is my favorite, check out his figures.

Honestly I would put Tohru in the could be better tier, sure in isolation she looks great but it just feels like such a low effort figure. I don't think she needed her maid outfit but the tail would have been great. Hopefully we don't get another Tiaga Tiger situation.

43:30 orange rouge doesn't make male scales anymore because apparently they can't do it at a reasonable price, you forgot to mention that he is a 28,600 yen 1/8th lmao next to no one ordered him because of that.
I think the tohru figure is overpriced, especially since it doesnt come with the tail at the asking price. Im not in the camp that not having the tail kills it, its just her price tag, hell I would enjoy sculpting and making the tail cause it would be a fun project so the lack of it is actually one of the nagging things that makes me want to get it.
As a fan of kobayashi, I think the maid cafe figure if it actually is executed well will be a better overall figure and at a very reasonable price with a great diorama base that you could pair with Kanna if you choose for a nice set with coherent theme.
Yeah that cafe figure is really cute and I hope it turns out well, though the fact it's stuck at the Crunchyroll store sucks cause they barely package their figures for safe transit. I probably should have put tohru as B rethinking it but oh well, no big deal.

you cant really compare Nendoroids to scale figures. they never compare
I try not to, I just wanted to talk about the same stuff I always do in these videos without making a whole new tier list. Might change it up for less confusion in the future though
