@@brantsemallory726 lol do you even know how BPD works? Its usually caused by a traumatic event in childhood (sometimes adulthood). Mental illness isn't a choice. I think you need to grow up honestly if you can't handle the idea of people having disorders you don't understand.

@@UltimaOn I really don't think you should be talking about this kind of thing when you clearly haven't done your research. It is listed in the DSM, a diagnostic manual for ~mental disorders~. I got diagnosed with it two years ago and I never acted childish, I was often noted as being very 'mature' for my age because I was always severely depressed. I will never grow out of it, I have to take medication for at least 3 years along with continued therapy in order to live with it in the long term. I've been in therapy for four years, even before I got an official diagnosis, so I could get some help with the symptoms. Regardless of what you might think, 'just stopping it', is not a cure for it and I wish it was, because every single day I work on it, and I act just like any other person, yet I still have to deal with the inner feelings of depression and anxiety and fear. I'm sorry you feel this way and I understand as it's not commonly talked about, so you might not have much information but please do not spread hurtful information about us when we already have a a bad and inaccurate reputation.

And when it slows down she is all alone and sad it seems like that's when she realizes it's a problem that she loves it. And all the party scenes are what it feels like while she's high and isn't even thinking about it. Pretty simple but it makes it better than it seems

Sometimes things are "unique" because a whole lot of other people tried something similar but werent willing to actually release it because its at at such a basic level that they realized most people would think it was garbage. Now we live in an era where as long as you have enough people who act like they like it, you can drown out the fact that 7.999 billion people would cringe and laugh at it, then get mad that they spent time looking at it. Later on down the line wen the Un-Lucky get a hold of drugs, something good happens. Yes, good. Drugs do what they were created for, to treat the human's issues. Excess is bad, but living with pain, shame, guilt, triggers of bad memories, unhealed scars is worse. Again look in the mirror n feel thankful no one ruined ur life as a child or that u didnt witness violence or were born into dysfunctional lifestyle, before u say what u think about drugs. I know that I am lucky for not having experienced immense trauma or anything like that, so I don‘t need to take drugs to deal with the pain. I know that in most cases people who get addicted to drugs have experienced horrible things, with which they can‘t deal with anymore so they take drugs to escape the pain etc., even if it’s just for a short while and that they often don‘t just take them to act like their cool in front of friends and even if that‘s the reason being addicted to drugs can make things even worse and I am really sorry for people who are addicted to drugs. Even though I also have a rough time currently, am struggling with my mental health and my health in general I know that there are many people who have it way worse than me and I am thankful that I don‘t need to take drugs to deal with trauma.
I apologize for writing that comment, because it makes it seem like Angie just made this song because she thinks taking drugs is cool, even though it‘s probably like you said (that she wrote it to show the positive sides of drugs like being able to forget about trauma for a second and feel less bad , but also to show the negative sides like becoming addicted and struggling with health issues etc.).

Not that mainstream music is even really that shy of taboo subjects anymore these days with so many rappers all over mainstream radio airwaves regularly dropping lines about popping Percs and drinking Lean and all kinds of sexual stuff etc. etc., but these types of popular top 40 songs and rap tracks are really only mentioning illegal drug use and certain street drug names in passing here and there in like a single bar or two throughout an entire rap song so they kind of get away with singing about drug culture subtly and it's still considered acceptable for mass public airplay, TV show spotlights, etc... Whereas Angie here apparently can't seem to help herself but make the majority of all her tracks 100% about the drug scene, taking drugs, being f*cked up on this and that 24/7 and how much she loves snorting sh*t, etc. etc.... None of the more major music or media platforms and/or corporations that could really help an up and coming artist like Angie blow up big time via their added exposure that they could offer are willing to support content as blatant as hers, because if they did they may inadvertently come off to their fans and to the public at large as low key supporting the glamorization of illegal drug culture like Angie does with her music time and time again... By giving Angie's music mainstream airplay on their platforms these corporations etc. would be risking possible huge public backlash which would come from seemingly supporting a pro illegal street drug agenda... That's my take at least based off just how much super drug heavy music Angie keeps putting out 24/7.

"Spun" may be an analogy for being high on crystal meth, but lets break her lyrics down a bit.
"Spun" also is a slang term for being neurotic or "crazy", and she refers to having borderline personality disorder, which causes sufferers to feel manic highs, and lows. Addiction also can follow this, so the whole lines regarding to "snort it, roll it, love it" can still be about drugs. I think it's mostly just a song about being on drugs to induce a higher high that borderliners can feel

This song is 100% about meth. Spun is specific slang for tweekin. Snort it could apply to several drugs but roll it is also meth specific, you roll the bowl to vaporize your shit when smoking. Love it is obvious, more dopamine and euphoria than you should ever feel at one time, to the point that you know nothing in your life will ever match that feeling ever again. The more involved you get with your meth addiction the more it resembles mental illness and/or exaggerates pre existing conditions.

Favorite part of this is how people don't understand Ängie being satirical and how this is supposed to mock rap music while also being something that is a creative outlet. Ängie is kind of a character like any other rapper, but she knows she isn't writing poetry and that's the point. Her tracks are songs to get high to, they're tracks to fuck to, they're tracks to dance while utterly wasted to. If you can't understand the ironic implications of every song then you're wasting your time with this music specifically, because it's supposed to be enjoyable for certain reasons. Sometimes cheap wine can be just as good of a time as a $300 bottle.

Contrary to both comments here, I think, based on the middle section where she's sad and crying, that she's bringing to the forefront the sad reality of partying for a lot of people, wrapped up in and played against a happy party it up vibe because that's how it can feel when everything around you seems fun and you feel happy, despite being so self-destructive and crazy. And at that I dunno if it's just me but at least at one point the crystals on her mouth make her lips look dry and cracked.
