    • @TeamVLSI
      @TeamVLSI  4 года назад +2

      Well Zeeshan, It has not been explained here as I have already explained this concept in the previous video of OCV.
      Kindly watch the previous video which I have mentioned in the description of this video.
      For your convenience, here I am providing the link in which I have explained the systematic and random variation.

    is there a video to understand graph based and path based analysis?

  • @formohit
    @formohit 3 года назад +1

    During the last stage of the presentation , its highlighted that both distance and depth based derate are handled through coefficient which is not true , only depth based derate are handled through coefficient but distance based is same as in AOCV.

    Hi TeamVLSI ,
    I am just trying to understand , how the cell delay calculation will be accurate , if we completely ignore the input tran and output cap and completely rely on the POCV coefficient ..
    Ex : if a BUFF2X ( having C value of say 0.1 ) cell is having 10fF in one case and where as it is having 100fF in another case , will the cell delay be same in these 2 cases , because it has single C value?

    • @TeamVLSI
      @TeamVLSI  4 года назад +2

      No delay could not be same in both the cases. Actually concept of POCV is not like that. Cell delay will be different as per the delay table of BUFF2X or by the interpolation calculations which will come as per the timing library. POCV will add additional variation in delay over the delay comes from timing library.

    • @sudhirkambhampati9027
      @sudhirkambhampati9027 4 года назад +2

      @@TeamVLSI As i understand , the regular delay comes from the CCS lookup table , but how much to derate that delay will be determined either by the Sigma Coefficient in case of POCV or The LUT sigma value in case of LVF . Thanks for clarifying..

    in prime time AOCV flow, 3rd step is to " include coordinates for distance based AOCV " . what about path depth based AOCV ? how it is taken care or included in PT AOCV flow???

    hello sir, i am not getting how if dist is const but depth is increasing we need lower value?

    • @TeamVLSI
      @TeamVLSI  4 года назад +1

      Hi dear,
      So actually as the logic depth increases, random variation increases but it is not necessary that all the random variation will occur in the same direction and so there is cancellation of random variation occurs and that's why we could take lower derate value.
      10:39 Go to this timeline, I tried to explain this concept while talking about OCV falt derate.

    hello, thanks for the wonderful video. In AOCV, is the same derate applied to all the cells in clock/data path or the derate is applied differently on the cells depending on how far it is or its depth? Hope you can read this.
