Old Town is always fun! I wish there was a plaque or something similar to remember Wolfman Jack there. If I recall in the 90s he had a huge jukebox facade storefront there.
I went to Old town over 30 years ago. The had a museum with a bunch of Elvis memorbalia and even had one of Eddie Van Halen's guitars. They used to have a huge carousel and had a Wild West show at nights. i never went to that but had a huge lunch for $3 in the Wild west theatre.
Spent a lot of happy times here during late 80s early 90s. I was a regular at the Larzland arcade and enjoyed 5 cent cokes at the Coke Store. They have lots more rides there now. Wolfman Jack used to have a concert place near there too.

We have eaten at that Checkers in front of Old Town on several occasions, although it has been quite a few years. I miss going to the Old Town general store with my grandparents and getting the souvenir coke bottles.
It's been a long time since I've been to Olds Town. But when my Uncle was alive we would go and watch to he old cars go by at night I live here in Florida too.

I miss the wax museum that was in old town😢 drove by old Town yesterday but hadn't stopped in for a long time. I just stopped going because I hate the smell of weed . This video makes me want to go hang out there I do miss old town.

What's crazy is that is the last Shoney's in Florida. There's only like 60 left in the world too. Considering how prominent they used to be it's pretty crazy
To give you an update: This Shomey's is the ONLY one in the area. They went from 1800+ locations in the 90s to 60 nationwide! BTW< When you said cruise I thought you meant those lake cruises. I forgot about the Saturday Auto Cruises. Great as always!
