Instagram- AdamTheWooATW While I am a huge creature of habit and devolved many “traditions” on places I go and things I do each year I’m really feel like it’s gotten to locked in and need to break it up a bit. After the rest of this year I’d like to change course on a few other things as well into 2024.
Glad you’re making decisions for yourself that makes you happy and moving on to new things if that’s what you want to do, you being happy comes first then the great content follows, thanks for being awesome Adam
So sad you may not come back again for a while! My husband and I found your vlogs after DragonCon last year and we saw you in passing in the Hyatt but didn't want to bother you. It was pretty cool for us to be "in" the vlog though - we were at the Star Wars photoshoot! Hope you go on lots of cool adventures in the meantime and maybe we'll get to say hi to you in person at a future DragonCon :)
My mom and I met Sean Astin out in public a few years ago and he wished my mom a Happy Birthday and spent at least 10 minutes talking with us. He is such a nice and wholesome guy, very genuine. I hope you’re doing well Adam
I like people who like nostalgia. It means they have a good heart. When you remember things that made you happy, it is likely that you are happy. Or at least have an overall positive/ hill attitude. In this case, Adam’s mind loves the creative side of things. Love it.
Good morning. Just wanted to thank you for the inspiration to eat healthier. The scales this morning show I've lost 15 pounds this summer. I will try for another 15. Love watching your videos as I drink my morning coffee each day!
Same. After attending for over a decade, I've decided that I'd rather spend money on other cons or other vacations in general. I have good memories, but it's time to move on, especially when the enjoyment is no longer worth the expense
The first video I watched of your was one of your DragonCon vlogs, I always enjoy the places and characters you visit. Looking forward to where you end up this time next year!
I got burnt out on cons too. I’m local and we have soo many it just gets old quick. I think once I move away (soon) I may come back to DC and spend extra time remembering why I moved away hahah
Just seeing that it’s three hours to get into a vendor room. Unless they expand, it’s not worth it. If you have to spend your entire time waiting in lines, it’s an absolute waste. I didn’t see Adan in any panels this year. Why pay a premium price to just wait in lines to spend more money?
Looking at the videos and seeing the size of the crowd it's apparent that it's become way too busy. One shouldn't have to wait hours to get into a store. Even the meetups are big enough to have their own cons. It looses the sense of community.
@@TheDailyWooI haven’t been in a couple of years but when they started requiring tickets to get into the hotels it was more mellow. Not sure if they are still doing that.
The idea of spending all that money, fighting all those crowds at a generic "fandom" con...I'm 54 and now I'd rather spend that $$$ on a week on the beach, or secluded cabin in the wilderness
I thought that was a typo. I am a little shocked but change is good. New adventures for ya to partake in. Changing your path occasionally is good for everyone.
You can make it a tradition to visit that mad guy who lives at Cousin Eddie's House in Boone, Colorado every year and convince him to show you around his house and kitchen!
You made a cameo on weird history Food. There In and out burger video. Had you doing your Food review around the 12 minute mark lol. Just a flash on the screen!! 😂
I don’t blame you at ALL Adam for bowing out next year, the crowds were intense and I’d be so mad to have to sit for 4 hours to be able to enjoy the vendor room.
That Dragon 🐉 con seems like a blast that you always go to, I've been watching you for years, it's the same thing as always. Thanks for sharing this Adam. Take care my friend.😎👍📸
Thank you Adam, Greg, and Ryan! Dragoncon looks like an amazing event; but I don’t know if I could do those crowds. The creativity in cosplay is just astounding, and I enjoy every moment of these videos!
I want to meet Sean Astin because he voices Raphael from my favorite version of the Ninja Turtles. Lol (2012) Thank you for providing us with so much content of Dragon Con! I've always enjoyed these vids and really appreciate the footage from this awesome-looking convention. : )
I did a table selfie with Christopher Lloyd at Awesome Con 2021. His line went until after the con ended. So by the time people got up there to take their pictures with him, he looked grumpy. They were rushing people through. I could barely say one sentence to him. I at least got out " You were my childhood" and he said "Thank you" and that was it. Michael J. Fox was at the con, too. People were bringing stacks and stacks of hover boards to get signed. It was insane.
Totally understand but hope you eventually find your way back again someday. Even years and years from now. Always love your videos no matter where you are. Honored to say I made it into two of them. One as Hancock from Fallout 4, and one as Harry Vanderspiegle from Resident Alien. Was good to meet you each time! Best of luck in future endeavors!
No offence Adam, but I'm pleased you enjoyed yourself, but the convention not keen on them but looking forward to your next adventure, which is probably starting today, tomorrow for us lol
I went to Dragoncon once a decade ago. I think they should move it to a different time of year as I remember I was constantly covered in sweat. As you have to go outside and run from one panel to the next as they are in several different hotels. I never went back as I just didn't like spending the whole day drenched in sweat.
2024 will be my last year. Bought my membership yesterday for it. Will be 42 then. Gone every year since 2008 everyday even Mondays. Its not what its used to be anymore. Feels like an adult version of Momocon only bigger at best.
Come next year you'll miss all that hot weather, chaos, bad food, standing and stuff. Most of all the friends being with you in that place . Great vid. Good to se George and Brad. Love those guys. Wish I could meet George. Used to be such a huge Trek fan.
I just wanted to say thank you for including The Glassy Geek (9:33) in your video! Also, I'm sad to hear it's your last Dragon Con. I do understand the need for change, and if it's not giving you joy, then certainly a break from it is in order (who knows, maybe in a few years you'll find you miss it and reconsider). We'll be looking forward to your new adventures!
Seems like a great year to cap off 9 consecutive years for you of Dragon Con. This year was my second year going and it was the best one yet for me personally. I'm glad you got to experience this wonderful Con and i hope you have a great Labor Day buddy! ❤️
Change is good. You get into a rut and even though you enjoy it there is so much more to explore! You go for it Adam we only have so many spins around the sun.
Adam has paid his dues for over a decade with truly outstanding content. I would strongly encourage him to make changes and be free to alter his pace to bring balance to his life. I think most of us wish this for him.
Definitely encouraging Adam to change up his pace, if he so desires. But to what? Tim Tracker and Paging Mr Morrow have stated the RUclips content was secondary to their main jobs. I don't think I've ever heard Adam mention any other kind of work then making RUclips content for decades. Hopefully he wouldn't limit himself by working for a company like TheDis or someone else's website like Disney Foodblog.
Good questions for sure. As far as Tim Tracker I highly doubt he’s working another job currently with the amount of content he produces and the pretty penny he makes doing it. Otherwise his other “job” would be incredibly lucrative to make more than this and still having enough free time for his channel. As far as Adam he’s made it pretty clear I believe that at age 50 he does not want to continue on this exact path. I still think his content will be his one and only vocation albeit with less taxing creative ventures. Just my thoughts of course obviously anything is possible.
I think having goals and setting specific metrics on your future endeavors is important. Flip flopping constantly on decisions may be signs of indecision and being disorganized.
Thanks for pointing out the little bit of Lord of the Rings merch AND for getting a photo with Sean Astin. Your experience with George and Brad was just beautiful. ❤
