FINALLY i cannot thank you enough- a video that actually shows how to fix a part in DETAIL. Really appreciate how much effort you put into making this video- not many people can do that! 👏👏
I tried using plastic but it was slipping, then rubber, but it got cut and after my 7th disassembly and assembly I decided I did not care anymore 😂 thanks man for the comment
Nice coverage on the rattling, especially with the ESC, which is where I think the bulk of my rattle is coming from. I'm having a problem with my steering. I have a Megawheels S1, but it should be the same. My steering is locked, yet I don't know what I did. The manual says nothing. I'm getting close to removing the front wheel to investigate, but I think the lock was applied electronically as I don't see a mechanical way of applying the lock.
@@VRMinde You know that €30 Suspension? Would it be better or worse then the stock Kugroo ones because in the future I plan to upgrade the suspension on my Escooter.
@@rahan573 the 30eur Xiaomi one? It is a bit better maybe, but still a complete crap. I would rather eide without a suspension than with anythinig like those
Thanks for the tip! This is a really good idea. I am riding more in colder climate, I am sure it will not overheat, but it makes a lot of sense generally.
@@VRMinde I added additional heatsinks to the speed controller on my xiaomi m365 and it had some on there, I got some heatsink tape that made it a lot easier.
@@qg786 on m365 it makes even more sense. This one is limited on 25km/h and nothing is heating up - neither motor, nor battery, nor controller. My m365 running on 12s bat gets much warmer :)
I personally wouldn't give up the extra cushion from the spring. Maybe go for a stiffer spring, if possible? But then again, I wouldn't know the difference in riding quality. BTW, special memories on that alley in Billund...
Done that, was great for few runs, now nuts I think unsrew inside, is blocked on turn and can't remove wheel :/.. did u get same problem after a while???
Uhhh that’s suks mate, sorry to hear. I have no problems still. But I have actully made a third hole from the front and installed a 3rd bolt. And the double-nuts on the “long one” should not allow the nuts to loosen from vibration. You can also use thread lock or the nuts with plastic inside. They should not loosen from vibration either
I have a scooter for my son that has a very similar front suspension. When you fix the travel from sliding does the spring still allow some "suspension"? Thank you for this video :)
Some parts you can find on aliexpress and also try here www.kugoo-scooter.com/collections/parts-accessories If everything fails contact kugoo and ask for the part you need 🤔
I unmounted everything but the fork doesn't want to go out from there :( ... I'm trying to pull out it away but it seems something is blocking it inside... Any idea?
A got S1 Pro, from a while i hear a noise in front side. It sounds like klickin and have a wobble in front-back position when i pull it. When drivin i feel strong vibrating. How can i fix this shit man. U r my last option fo help! Pleeeeease!
It depends if the sound comes from the suspension or just your stem has loosened up. Stem can be tightened, suspension is just... cheap suspension :) I have blocked it on mine as you can see
Great job, guy ! I'm an italian owner of this scooter. First: sorry for my bad english 😖. Second: You think it would work if i tried to use some stiff rubber (or silicone or elastic glue) on the original screw to muffle the noise ?
Hi mate, I don’t think it will really work. I assume that the little metal pins are hitting the ends of the holes. If you put something in between it will either be cut or too thick to allow suspension to move 🙄
Hi, I am not sure there is the way. I will do a review for the pro soon. Normally it is set in the ECU and the easiest way is to replace it. But I do not know if that is the case.
Hi All, I just got this scooter & 've been riding it to work for 3 days ( 6kms each day ) And today on my way back, the scooter suddenly stopped & no way to turn the power back on !!! The battery level was at least 50 to 60% Could anyone tell me what did happen ? Big THX in advance for any help
Hi mate, many things could have happened from a faulty battery cell to a burnt controller or dashboard. I would return it to seller if it is a new scooter. If you do not have this option look for a repair shop, they will find a problem quickly. If you want to troubleshoot yourself start from measuring voltage output from the battery pack.
I do not know for a fact. Where did it snap mate? Try writing to geekbuying they might be able to help. Also I saw a lot of forks here picclick.co.uk/Front-Scooter-Mudguard-Fork-For-Kugoo-S1-133377106910.html
I know it's cheap and I didn't have high expectations but oh boy that's a terrible design. I bet it's courtesy of marketing team trying to make their product look better compared to M365 but even my M365 clone from Lidl has no rattles and is quite a lot safer than this due to the presence of a mechanical brake.
Well, I have very similar thoughts about the “suspensions” off all the cheap electrical scooters - better they would simply not install them. Decent shock absorbers require difficult design process, precision in manufacturing and expensive materials, therefore costing almost more than the scooter itself. But marketing does it’s negative job here :) By the way brakes on this one are improved over the original S1, and there is a mechanical rear fender brake that works. Together with limited speed I am not concerned. Maybe because I used the s1 for a long time now :D
@@VRMinde oops, I somehow disregarded the existence of a fender break. It might not be so bad then. Maybe in wet conditions it might not perform so well but then again none of those cheap scooters are meant for driving in the rain.

I love this kind of works. To avoid scratches on the metal cover maybe you could have used a piece of inner tube under the vice grips!

Good tutorial, even though i don't own that scooter, i still enjoyed watching it!
That is cool to hear mate. I won't lie that it is pleasant when someone likes your work. Appreciate your time taken to leave the comment!
could you make a video how to change the back weel bearings?
Will not make it soon for sure mate. Take of the wheel, take out the bearing (you will probably need a tool for that), install a new bearing :)

I really doubt there is a way to electronically lock the steering mate :) Probably the bearing is busted or something like that
I love this workaround things 😊
Well, I just could not ride with that sound :)
Thanks! This is useful and detailed and will come into use someday for me!

Hi! Thanks for your video. Its the same like in S1 (not kirin)?
Don’t know for sure 🤷🏻♂️
Try using heatsink paste as it will help transfer the heat of the speed controller to the frame of the scooter. 👍

How did you get the black cap undone I can’t get mine to lossen
Probably used some plumber wrench with rubber to protest the cap 🙄 can’t remember now

These simple spring suspensions are more or less useless, they do not provide nearly any comfort. But that sound… for me it is unbelievably annoying

Some gentle force :D
Rubber hammer or a piece of wood on top to protect and a hammer
could it be possible to connect the kirin S1 blue tooth board to the kugoo S1 ?
No
you could probably install the Kirin controller and the "dashboard" on S1, but I do not find that BT so usefull TBH.
