You can’t mention DGD without listening to Lemon Meringue Tie. It’s a staple in the band’s history, so much so that to this day they still play it live.
Your reaction is how I feel every time this song comes on. 100% of the time I cant help but move. That end of the song was a lead in to the next song. The lyrics reference the end "id hate to say no when it comes to those beautiful blue eyes" youre gonna vibe hard to previously poncheezied too. This album is suuuper funky
Totally worth the months of anticipation for you to get to this song! Glad to see its on your top 5 like many of us lol. The phone call at the end Is a reference to Jonny’s lyrics in the next song, keep an ear out for that :)
Dude RIGHT!? As I type this, I anticipate your reaction to the disco bridge coming. And now I'm there and you did not disappoint! Lol what an interesting song this is, such a vibe and then a completely different vibe! Will's Earth Wind & Fire influence didn't really show up until the Happiness album but it's become a staple of their sound
The end songs of this album are the strongest ones to me and the next song is actually the first DGD I ever listened to. My buddy showed it to me the day the album came out and told my I had to listen to it because the intro guitars were awesome. Anyways great vid as always.
My guy, YES! I've been waiting for you to react to this, it's definitely one of my top favourites of their songs! There's even a low pitch edit of this song called "Dance Barry Dance: Blue Cream" lmao it's amazing
Surprised that nobody has mentioned this yet. The Blue eyes thing at the end is about pills; it is known that Jonny was abusing drugs at the time, I don't know what type of pills he was abusing but I remember reading somewhere that it's a reference to a certain type of pill and that the blue pills are the strongest dose of that kind. The girl he called was his dealer, and the "color of your eyes" thing was code for what type of pills she was selling.
Just always assumed it was about the weed strain of the same name. And word on the street when it came out was they were all up late smoking blue dream and decided to call random people until they found one with blue eyes.
You gotta listen to The Past Should Stay Dead by Emarosa. One of Jonny's best vocals in terms of power. 2008-2011 were the prime-Jonny years man. Fuck drugs.
Awesome reaction man! Had a rough day today so seeing you had a new DGD reaction up brightened my day so thank you :). Blue Dream might have a dual meaning, i do think it refers to the eye color of one of Johnnys ex gfs and its also a popular strain of weed, with very chill effects just like the song lol. Some of Johnnys best work with DGD is on this track imo and the chill vibes are great. Privilously Poncheezied is next, its another good jam with a more traditional DGD sound. Your reactions are so fun to watch, keep up the awesome work Chris!
Knew you would love this song by them man, such a good one. Please react to "Stuttering Time Theory" by a band called "Juneva". Or really any of the songs off of that same album. They are heavily inspired by DGD and I'm sure you'd dig them
Spooks, lemon meringue tie, priviously poncheesized, uneasy hearts weigh the most, tree village! Those would be awesome reactions!

This was the song that introduced me to dance Gavin dance. I first heard this song from Jarrod Alonge’s “Misheard lyrics” series waaaayy back then

Pretty sure the ending was jonny being an asshole and calling one of his exes to make sure her eye color was blue before naming the song lol.
Yeah really, every time I hear it I'm just like "bro you don't even know her eye color, c'mon" lol
They got lucky then because “Brown Dream” doesn’t have the same ring to it.
In the next song he talks about her beautiful blue eyes
@@jamesedge6847 Well this also doubles as a reference to a strain of weed and you know they wanna capitalize on that
Nah, it's a reference to Privilously Poncheezied. Blue Dream is a weed strain.
The ending of this song gives my chills after the part where Jon goes wild with those screams.
No matter where I'm at in the car, work wherever n I play this..I'm automatically dancing on sight hahaha
yo thing is a straight BANGER
Totally worth the months of anticipation for you to get to this song! Glad to see its on your top 5 like many of us lol. The phone call at the end Is a reference to Jonny’s lyrics in the next song, keep an ear out for that :)
Waited forever for someone to break this down love this song
Blue eyes was def about oxy, he says “alright let’s go” right after
❤
been waiting months for you to get to this song and your reaction didn't disappoint 🔥🔥 one of my top 3 dgd songs for sure
I'm here for the good vibes 🙇♀️
P.s. I love the shirt color. It goes well with your eyes.
Previously Poncheezied has one is one of my favorite intro verses from DGD. I think this and the next song may be my favorite two from the album.
Im super excited for the acceptance speech reactions, top 3 dgd album for me.
Love this song and this reaction!!!

Perfect is a MUST
Man I'm so frickin happy you finally saw this one! Been looking forward to it for a while. Next one I'm super hyped for is "Perfect"...
Finally someone reacts to this hidden DGD GEM🔥🔥🔥❤️ thank you 🙏🏻
Loved this.
Plus the end is about the song name and also weed i think lol

When he asked what color her eyes where, he was probably making sure so he could name the song correctly. Lol
Jonny actually just confirmed this lol he was high out of his mind and couldn’t remember what color her eyes were
@@therobotwithhumanhair5659 what do you mean “just”? Like within the last week or so? Is there an interview?

Blue eyes is slang for oxycodone, he's struggled with opiates for a long time and that ending is a nod to his addiction

Purple Reign was better imo. I loved Blue Dream the most before I heard Purple Reign
JC4L
Can’t wait til you react to purple reign!

Nah he’s listening to the best dgd album currently😌
Woooooooooooooooooo!!!!
Man I'm really excited for you to get to the Tilian stuff. This stuff is good but the band ascended to another level with Tilian.
I’m confused. Who is Chris? Is he a musician? A writer? A dude who just listens to music on RUclips..? What am I missing
I need to hear this song without the screaming
amazing track
Not happening. Dgd fans adore jon mess. but check out emarosa, slaves and his solo stuff
Wrong opinion
