Hey Todd. Congratulations on winning GGBO. Sooooo well deserved. I am so pleased for you my friend. Peace and loads of love. CONGRATULATIONS
I actually found this out from you brother!! Thank you as always Cliff! I really do so appreciate all of your support!!✌️&🤍
Oh wow. Well, once again Todd. Congratulations and a well-deserved win. it could not have gone to a more deserving person.
All hail Ceres Theta! Todd, your artwork is alive. Congratulations on your perseverance!! Peace and love.
Thank you so much. Peace & Love right back at you!!
Beautiful! The shape, wood choices, the color, all the little details and the finish ... absolute craftmanship! 🏆
Thank you so much brother. I really appreciate it. ✌️&💙
There really is not much that you can say about the look of this guitar other than STUNNING. Really STUNNING. Peace and love.
Thank you Cliff. Peace & Love
What a joy to see your time, thoughts and effort turn out so beautifully. Look's and sounds wonderful. Great design and craftsmanship. Well done.
Thank you so much. I'll do a proper sound demo shortly. I'm anxious to play this thing for a bit!! Peace & Love
Fantastic. Staying true to your convictions is worth more than a competition!
I agree and I had to let the guitar take as long as it took. To rush it that close to the end would have left me feeling disappointed in myself. More than missing the deadline for sure. I'm glad I did it like I did. Thank you again brother. ✌️🤍
Educational, informative, inspiring, artistic and so talented! Congratulations on your GGBO win!
Thank you so much. I'm blown away by the GGBO win man. So happy. I really appreciate the kind comment. ✌️&🤍
Persistence & Learnedness.
Turned out great. The shape and colour give me mental pictures of Prince playing it.
I feel the same looking at it now and that I will take!! Man, you have been a part of this with me for quite some time now and I really appreciate that!! Thank you!✌️&🤍
Each more beautiful than the last brother. Peace and long life
Thank you brother!✌️&💙
Hey hey,
That turned out super stellar!
What a journey!
Happy for you!
Cheers from Texas!
🤘🥳🤘
Michael
Thank you brother. I really appreciate the kind comment!! P&L
That's surely one to be proud of Todd. Everything about is beautiful!
Thank you my friend. I am really happy with how she turned out. I'm glad you like it too! P&L
Ooooo Weeeee Todd!!! Just gorgeous man…A beautiful axe brother. Sharp as a razor 🪒. Love the guitar✌🏾
Thank you so much my friend. I really appreciate it!!✌️&🤍
Astounding skill, Todd and a lovely end product ❤❤👏👏👏
Thank you so much!!✌️🤍
Beautiful! I thoroughly enjoyed both builds in this whole series. Awesome work, man!
Thank you so much. I really am so happy with how the second one turned out. I appreciate your comment and the support!✌️&💙
Todd, what a beautiful guitar, just absolutely stunning! The time you took, and the changes you made along the way, really paid off. This series alone has so much to offer for anyone building or looking to get into building. The way you approach explaining your techniques and why you do the things you do is at a level worthy of being taught in a Luthier school. I'm so grateful for your videos, and truly love your channel, my favourite by far. Looking forward to the sound demo, and can't wait for the next collaboration with Gio, so exciting. Peace and Love.
Man, what kind words! I really appreciate this brother. I'm so glad you get something from the videos. I will do everything I can to continue to offer up the knowledge I gain and can hopefully grow this beautiful community through that effort!! Happy New Year!✌️&🤍
Congrats. You created a beautiful instrument, and I am sure she feels as good as she looks. You are a real craftsman.
Thank you brother! Peace & Love
I just love the colour combo of the woods and the general finish on the back of the body…just love it
Thank you so much! I'm happy with this one for sure!! Peace & Love
Deadline or not, that thing is beautiful!!
The frets going in that neck, was like putting the diamond Tiara on the winning beauty queen!
And that color over that figured top, under that killer gloss clear is so nice.
Sounds great too!
Great job Todd, Dare I say best Axe yet!
Thank you so much! I'm so pleased that this guitar is being received well. I was worried about that in the beginning. I'm really happy with the end result and I'm glad you like it too. Peace & Love
VERY nicely done Todd. Great shape and mix of colors. Love the headstock.
Thank you brother. I will use that headstock again for sure. I really like how it turned out and the string pull is just about perfect😃✌️&🤍
Wow Todd… I know how hard you worked on this one and it SHOWS!
Keep on truckin!
Thanks brother. I did work really hard on it but you, I never feel like I'm working when I'm building. I just love it. It's so easy to get lost in it! I appreciate your comment! Peace & Love
Absolutely beautiful Brother! P&L
Todd congratulations on your winning in GGBO 23....Well deserved my friend... Cheers
Thank you brother. I absolutely love your build this year man. You should be proud!! ✌️&🤍
Absolutely beautiful! You really created a beautiful instrument! Your attention to detail is incredible. Fantastic job!
Thank you brother. I feel the same about your work! ✌️&🤍

Thank you for being a part of this journey!!✌️&🤍
Definitely worth the wait, T! Such a beautiful and well crafted beast! Killer bath robe! Sound demo will be fun, too!
Thanks my friend. I wanted to do a sound demo in this video but once I broke the bottom e getting crazy with the floyd, I decided I would wait unti I could do a proper set up on it! I'll get it done in the next couple of weeks! I'm glad you like it man. Peace & Love
Awesome, it's a beauty! Your support is well deserved. Cheers
Thanks brother. I really appreciate it. Your ZIRI turned out sweet man. I have a big hunk of Ziricote I ordered after seeing your neck and I am waiting for that special build to use that! I love that wood! Anyhoo, killer work man! Peace & Love
That looks stunning my friend, what a great result! Well done once again 👍
Thank you my brother! Always a pleasure to see you in the comments! Peace & Love
ABSOLUTELY worth the wait! So good man! So So GOOD 🎉
Thank you!! ✌️&🤍
It's awesome. Someone would be thrilled to have it.
I'm keeping this one😃 I have to! Thank you so much!✌️&🤍
What a beautiful guitar. Congratulaions! I agree with you, it was about the guitar and not the deadline. Despite all the changes and re-dos, the final product is amazing!
Man, this year I promised myself that I would get the build to the vision of it from the beginning. I got really close to that! The guitar has to come first! I really appreciate the comment and the understanding! Peace & Love
it's a great looking guitar
Superb!
Love the way the bathrobe colour compliments the guitar. Awesome job bro.
😂That was not intentional but it did end up adding a bit of humor to the whole thing. That was nice after the stress I put myself through to finish! Thank you brother!✌️&🤍
Wow! What a fantastic peace of art you made again. Love the colour and finish. And not participating in GGBO23 makes no difference for me. It still is a winner. Keep doing this great video's They inspire me a lot. 👏✌
Thanks man. I'm not going anywhere! I've got too many ideas to ever stop plus I love doing it! I really appreciate the comment, the support and the time! Peace & Love
That is an absolute stunner of a guitar sir. Outstanding work and the finish is awesome.
Look forward to the demo and of course, the next artwork you come up with.
Thank you for your work and take it easy Todd
Thanks brother. I'm really glad you like it and I can't wait to get started on tbe next build!!✌️🤍
Todd, that guitar is a winner! It is incredible looking, and with Dimarzios in it, it will be a tone monster.
Thank you brother. I'm glad you like it. I'll get the sound demo done ASAP. Peace & Love
Realy beautifull you get my vote for sure , thank you Todd for these inspiring videos

Thanks brother. I really appreciate it. ✌️🤍
Beautiful !!!
Well done , Todd. Turned out beautiful.
Thank you Gabi, coming from you, that's high praise and I am filled with thanks to you for that! Peace & Love
This turned out amazing finished! Deciding not to take shortcuts was definitely the way to go. Also that bathrobe sound demo was fabulous Todd. Peace and love brother ✌️♥️
😂 I will get around to doing sound demos on this shortly. I think I'll leave the bathrobe at the house this time!! Thank you for your support my friend!✌️&🤍
Looks absolutely GORGEOUS - Love it
Thank you so much. I still can't believe I won!!✌️&🤍
wow !
Killer job!
I love the 2 pairs of glasses on your head😂😂😂
I sometimes have 3 up there😂 you never know when you may want to see something really close up!✌️&💙
I'm so happy for you! It's beautifull man, it shines like a diamant ... Good luck to both of you ,for the next project !🎉
Thank you so much! Happy New Year!!✌️&🤍
I’m glad you went Sweet rather than Big
The hand drill is such a nice touch. the guitar is very beautiful, love the overall look and that neck is amazing. I could imagine a colorful pickup as well, maybe it is just me but I love those. Great job, and again always qualify first thing is the way. Good luck
Thank you brother, I love that hand drill! I feel safer using it on a finished instrument. I've had those Dimarzios for awhile and I thought this would be a good one to use those in! I like colored pickups as well!! I appreciate the comment and the view! P&L
Absolutely stunning 😍
Thanks brother!✌️&🤍
Amazing instrument..Great job!!
Thank you! I really appreciate it!✌️&💙
Stunning guitar! Great job Todd.
Thanks man. I'm glad you like it brother! P&L
Great job

Thank you!✌️&🤍
Speechless, it's just that good! the finish and color is frigging amazing! great work dude!
Thanks Chef. I'm so appreciative for all of your comments and I'm really glad you like this guitar!! Peace & Love
Masterful guitar-making all around! One of a handful of builders who make RUclips worth watching. Congratulations!
Man that is a high praise compliment and I really appreciate it. Thank you!! Peace & Love
That blue top pops the grain so well. The neck and fretboard are beautiful. Congratulations.
Thanks man. I'm really happy with this one. I'm glad you like it! Peace & Love
Nicely done my man. Great wood choices and colors.
Thank you. It was a labor of love man. I'm glad you like it! P&L
I really need to work on my patience and step my game up 5:15 that's how I want my finish looking 😮
You've built one incredibly beautiful guitar! I'm looking forward to the demo.
Thanks Bart, your guitar is beautiful as well!!✌️&🤍
gloss finish is not my cup of tea, but man, you really mastered it! I'm in love with this neck, gorgeous woods!
Thank you brother. I've become a big fan of oil finishes since I got into this but I felt this one called for gloss. I have also developed a deep love for cocobolo😂 it's lovely!!✌️🤍
Great job brother 🤘
perfection.
I'll take that from you brother! Thank you. I love your work man! Peace & Love
beautiful -
Sir, you are a great builder! I watched this series first time today as I didn't know about your channel before..GGBO helped on that! The way you work on your materials makes me almost certain that your guitars will perform and sound awesome. I think every step in a builder's history is a step forwards! Your "plan A" build can be rearranged easily once you find your way around with the tuners. You might could shave off the veneers, fill in the tuner holes and even make it beefier on the sides before making it a sandwich again AND you could use RIOT WORKS tuners making things easier about how the string aligns with the tuner's hole. Greetings from Greece!
Thank you brother. I'm glad you found the channel and yes! I've got plans for #1 still!!✌️&💙
Love it! Thank you for taking the time and doing it right
I didn't really feel like there was a choice. The guitar has to come first!! Thank you so much!✌️&🤍
Really brilliant result Todd.
Thank you so much!! ✌️&🤍
All I want to know is, how in such a short time have you become so awesome at building such beautiful guitars. You have a gift from god.
I spent a yeat studying before I ever touched a piece of wood. I essentially schooled myself!! I think that helped me so much but it also helps that I really love doing this!! I'm glad you like the guitar! Thank you so much. Peace & Love
Yay!!! It looks an sounds fantastic brother!! Get that video submitted to the GGBO. I know they are still uploading stuff. So glad that you stuck to your principles and made a quality instrument that you can be proud of.
It is uploaded brother. finally! I'm really happy with how this one turned out! Thanks for the support brother Dave! Peace & Love
It turned out beautifully bro!!! Great piece of art Todd
Thank you so much man. ✌️🤍
Looks great!
That turned out gorgeous Todd. The dedication to your vision shows in every aspect of that build. Thank you for not using them gaudy tuners with the massive thumb wheel on this build. Normal tuners look soooo much better on that long and sleek headstock. Them others are just too chonky and to me are more gimmick than function now that I have tried a set of the minis with the smaller thumb wheel.
Thank you Bill. I know you don't like standard locking tuners. I myself have become really fond of Hipshot tuners, locking or not. The finish is impeccable and the ratio is just right to me. I also like Schaller tuners and a few models from other makers but I really have to say that I'm a Hipshot guy these days. I also don't like using locking tuners on a locking nut guitar. It seems like a waste!! I plan to do a Guthrie Govan inspired Charvel type build at some point and I may use locking tuners on it but he uses a non fine tuner Floyd bridge and a standard nut on his guitars. I love that, plus you know I'm a Strat guy. It is the ultimate strat if you ask me. Not a super and not a standard. Just right in between
Outstanding work!
Thanks Pops!!✌️&🤍
She turned out perfect mate, well done for taking the extra few days. And you playing in that bathrobe... all you needed was a white Russian and an ashtray on the workbench and you could have been "The Dude" 😂
😂😂 I think that would be a Caucasia!!!✌️🤍
Nice work Todd. I do not have your patience/resilience 😅
I love it Todd! Looks incredible 🤘 also, love the tone-bathrobe 🤣
Thank you Piotr!! I'm so glad you like it. The bathrobe will be remembered😂 maybe I'll wear it for all my demos😂😂✌️🤍
@@SweetTGuitars, please do! 🤣
fret work on a puppy pee pad i love it
It turned out amazing! Congratulations on the build.
Thank you. It took me long enough to be happy with it but I am now. If I could only play the thing!! I'm so rusty. I build all the time and hardly ever play anymore. I need to changed that!!✌️🤍
New subscriber , awesome channel!!!
Very nice
Thank you brother. I love this guitar!!✌️🤍
Beautiful guitar !!
i didnt make the deadline, either. i losta bunch of footage, but the guitar build was an experience.
I got an email from Ben's mom Telling me that if I finished before they had all the status updates done on the site I could still participate. It was hours that I was late. I'm sorry for you brother. Just keep building. Your guitar is looking killer from what I saw.!✌️&🤍
Yes there are things called deadlines but I agree with you the guitar is not complete until it is done right on guitar time haha. Wow she is beautiful, lovely colour and finish you could almost dive into it. Just love that top. Looking forward to hearing her. I'm kinda undecided on floyd rose systems mainly cos they can be painful. to get in tune and change/replace strings but if you want a tremolo they are the best way to go. Love this guitar. Peace and love
I feel the same about Floyd's but when a locking trem is called for, they're my favorite. Thank you so much for the kind comment! I really appreciate it. ✌️&🤍
Congratulations my friend, you did an amazing job on this guitar. And I applaud your decision not to rush it or to compromise on the build to try to make the deadline, especially when you were in it for the camaraderie and not to try and win the competition. And that finish is spectacular.
Thanks brother. I couldn't let myself rush it. I knew I wouldn't be happy with it if I did. It has to be about the guitar!! I'm good with this one! Peace & Love
It turned out beautiful! I love it brother!
Thanks Jackson!! I'll take that coming from you brother. I love you build as well!!✌️🤍
Lovely looking instrument Todd… I don’t know what else I can possibly say other than that guitar looks to be in the top 2 percent of custom boutique 6-strings I’ve ever seen online.
Your materials are fantastic. Your process is fantastic. Your end result is beyond words. I don’t know how or where you can possibly improve on any of these. But I’ve no doubt that you do know how and where - or will do upon reflection!
A final point. I’ve no doubt that this guitar can be played as fast as the a of any guitarist simply because you used red ‘speed’ sharpie to mark up your fret tops when levelling and profiling them. Everyone ’in the know’ understands that red is the ‘fastest’ colour to use for this job - closely followed by blue. Good choice man! P&L brother.
Thank you my friend. I'm really pleased with this one and I'm so glad I wasn't willing to compromise on it. I'll take this comment as high praise brother. I'm so filled with thanks for your support and you've been a constant for me for quite awhile now. I really do appreciate that!!✌️🤍
You nailed it
Thank you! I really appreciate that!✌️&💙
That Ceres came out absolutely unreal, brother, and sounds incredible!!! I can only imagine how comfortable it must be with the carves and effort you put into it!!!!
I'll do a proper sound demo and I won't wear a bathrobe!! Thanks man. I really appreciate the support! Peace & Love
@@SweetTGuitars I thought the bath robe was for extra polishing
Farecla stuff is awesome. I use it to polish cars I’ve painted. The very first time I refinished a guitar I used it in that too and the owner couldn’t get over the gloss.
And it looks the same for you buddy, your finish is immaculate. Who cares about the deadline, you built a unique instrument to the highest absolute standard possible.
Kudos to you my friend for seeing it all the way through!
Yes it is. I sell auto paint for a day job and when I started selling Farecla, any of my customers who have tried it will now use nothing else!
Thank you for the comment brother. I'm glad you like the guitar!! Peace & Love
@@SweetTGuitars That’s a crazy coincidence. I used to spray paint for a few years and had my own Spies Hecker mixing system at home. I still dabble in car refinishing every now and again.
@@EntropiaGuitars oh man, Spies is such great paint. I sell 5 lines, all Axalta and then I also sell Transtar Nomix. Awesome man.
Todd, an absolutely stunning piece of work my friend. I’ve been following peoples builds on Insta/Facebook and am slowly playing catch up on peoples videos. I think you did the right thing and made all the right choices with this build and man, it turned out awesome. The finish is glorious and the brief bathrobe demo, she sounded lovely. Thanks for sharing what you do, I for one find it incredibly useful and helpful. Im also really looking forward to see how you & Gio reimagine the LP as like you guys, I love them, but don’t like playing them 😂 Wishing you and yours a wonderful Christmas and a peaceful new year.
Thanks so much Jamie! I absolutely love you GGBO final video. Pink Panther gets new life! Awesome and your guitar turned out so awesome. It sounds and looks just lovely brother. You should be so proud of that one man!
@@SweetTGuitars many thanks Todd, that's very kind of you. Pink Panther is such great fun to play, I've been working it up since March. Family, are kind of sick of it 😂
So jealous of those clear coating skills
Rattle can man😃 I really need to get out my spray guns and my airbrushes at some point. I can't bring myself to paint any of this killer wood I've been able to find! It'll happen eventually! I may need to do a tutorial on the clear alone? Thank you for the comment brother! Peace & Love
@@SweetTGuitars I have watched so many tutorials on clears, especially the Brad Angove tutes, and still I just wreck it. One day Ill do a course in person. And yeah, dont you dare cover up that wood with coloured paints!
IRONIC that in abiding by your principles and absolute commitment to excellence your masterpiece was selected #1? I think NOT 🎉
Thank you. I had to let winning anything take a back seat to what I think really matters. In the end the guitar made the rules for me and I feel good about that decision. Especially now!!✌️&🤍
amazing job mate!!!!
Thank you brother. ✌️&🤍
Yeah I'm in the same boat a little farther aft.
Q: Why would you not just bend your fret wire to match the radius of the fretboard? Thanks!
That would be fine if I used a fret press but when you hammer frets in like I do the greater radius allows you to tap the sides in first and when you tap the middle in it spreads the fret wire out and gives it a better bite into the wood. I've tried it both ways And they seat better if they're bent at a greater radius than the fretboard!
Sweet - I appreciate all the education I receive watching your talent!@@SweetTGuitars
If a man can't noodle on guitar in his bathrobe then that's no society I want to be part of 😂
Me again - as a player who loves to get Series/Parallel/Split variations out of a 4-conductor humbucker, just curious why you wire them up without these options? Thanks!
I didn't do any wiring mods on this particular guitar because I was set on using a 3 way toggle and I don't like mini toggle switches. I like the guitar to look as clean as possible. I did consider using a push pull out for coil switching on the bridge but when I thought about it, while the single coil option is great on some guitars, I didn't think it was necessary on this guitar that was made to be a full on shredder guitar. I also don't really like phase reversing or series/parallel wiring mods on a single coil size humbucker. The sound when coil switching one of those is thin and weak. I just do what I do man. I did end up re-wiring the strat I did with Gio so it's auto coil switching from the 5 way. I really love that mod above all others. As a player I appreciate the diversity that wiring mods give us, as a builder I have discovered I like a clean front on my builds. It's a personal thing. I'm sure you understand.
I will absolutely wire the bridge pickup for single coil switching or at least series/parallel but on a single coil size humbucker like I used for the neck, I don't think it really makes that much of a difference. I will sometimes do reverse phase or other wiring mods
@@SweetTGuitars - I get the "clean look" for sure. As far as design goes, it makes a lot of sense. I know at my age, wiring up a push-pull pot with all the connections necessary to do series/parallel coils, I said I would never do another one! Thanks again for educating me on your thought process.
Man, I have found that my tastes have changed since I started building. I use to be Super Strat or die😂 now I've learned to appreciate subtle things about various guitars and in that I've found out why certain things were done the way they were. I love creating and I love sharing that discovery process with everyone. It's what keeps me posting videos. Education is at the heart of what I do I think. I'm getting educated myself and I like to pass that on from my point of view. I really am inspired these days by simply learning a new process. I love it brother.
How many guitars or necks have you made?
Well, a little back story first..I am a guitar playing drummer. I am 55 years old and I've been playing music since I was 3 or 4. I found the guitar at age 11 and have done countless repairs and upgrades over the years as well as several kit guitars. I started scratch building in 2020 after studying the art of guitar building for a year before I touched a piece of wood. Since then I've carved around 25 necks and have built 19 guitars without building the same design twice so far. I also have several projects that are in various stages of completion. Once I started RUclips
, it became my mission to help others learn to do this And to share my own journey. I absolutely love building. I hope this answers your question. I also don't do and CNC work. Everything is by hand. ✌️🤍
Is that guitar sold?
No it's not. I'll build you one if you want? Email me at sweettguitars@outlook.com!! Thanks for asking me this😃✌️🤍
