I'm 39, grew up in the 90s. And I liked to British bands growing up and all the stuff that was going on at the time, Britney, Backstreet Boys, Green Day... and into the 2000s and so forth.... Sleep Token are the BEST band I've listened to in a long time! A lot of their tracks are bangers and they have a talented piano player and drummer and vocalist. Very impressed.
This song has some similar lines that come straight out of a song from vessel previous work. And i love that he will take parts from previous work and weave it into his music now and also that he has called back to that band in the newest songs too. Vessels story didn't start with sundowning or even the first ep it actually began in 2013. And has just continued. And even back then his lyrics were so heart breaking and dark for someone that was so young.
This is why I have a hard time believing this about a deity and the fact they were recording songs like this and they were together had to be so difficult

I can't go more than a couple days without devoting 3 hours to listen to all of their music from start to finish, and the the cycle repeats again. II is fucking CRISPY. I’ve never heard a drummer blend so well with the rest of the band, yet still show off at the same time. When you watch the drum offerings you’ll see just how fuckin effortless it is for him. Man, so good. I can’t wait to see your reaction to them!

I couldn’t help but find out who they were almost instantly when I my friend first showed me them so I’m fortunate enough to know, but I completely agree the fact that the anonymity puts a sort of road block in the way of them getting all the recognition they deserve is such a bittersweet feeling. II is sponsored by some of the biggest companies in the world so at least the drum community knows what’s good. I feel this way about Vessel more than II honestly though since there’s the least amount of information on him out there lmao. every time I watch your videos I’ve looked him up just to see if there’s anything I’ve missed even though I know I’ve seen pretty much everything everyone else has regarding Vessel. I truly can’t wait until they become a bit more public with their identities though like you said, completely respect their choice to stay anonymous because fans are fucking weirdos sometimes. I’m sure that’s a big reason he chose to stay anonymous with this in the first place. knowing his unmatched talent and seat at the table in the music world, he probably would’ve gotten even bigger even faster had he climbed the traditional musical ladder to success.
Even if they never go public, It's pretty badass to just show up, drop some of the most mind bendingly beautiful music of the last 20 years and just disappear into the shadows (when they're done).

I haven’t seen them yet but they’re coming to the US in October, so I may have to pay crazy resale prices to see them for the first time just on the off chance that they for some insane reason call it quits after this year 😮 I hope it doesn’t happen though lol. my only guess for the reasoning would be basically what you said. drop some of the craziest and transcendent music in such a short span of time and still keep their sanity by dodging the fame 🤔only time will tell. excited for you to hear the rest of this album then TMBTE 🫡

Every time I listen to Like That, I wonder just a little bit more if he's saying "talking with razors on your tongue" rather than "braces on your tongue" and I need to know I'm not losing my mind. I just don't hear a "b" in there. And razors would more likely provoke combat than braces? Like, think about the words that are being strung together. I think the whole world thinks the wrong lyrics are correct. And it's razors. Not braces. This is the shit that keeps me awake at night. 😩
