Beautiful work, well done.
Thank you!
Well done. An excellent display of your skill. A wonderful demonstration of system and a good visual commentary. Very enjoyable and informative. Thank you
Thank you. Very happy to read that!
Very nicely done! I love that dial .. it’s beautiful
عمل عظيم أحسنت ..استمتعت كثيرا بالفديو
Lovely watch just the way it is. Absolutely beautiful!
Beautiful watch!
This was a fabulous restore. I envy the person who is privileged to wear it!
Great job. What a beautiful watch.
Great job...
Es ist der Wahnsinn, die Uhr sieht, vor allem nach der Wiederherstellung wunderschön aus!
Danke!
Talk about luck!!!! I was going through my brain meat on how to get that out, then it moved, I was relieved for you lol. Great video. Super complicated
Thank you!
Nice work. I’m enjoying your content. If I might make only one suggestion, sacrifice a little more B Dip in the container you clean the jewels in and clean the balance and pallet fork along with them. This will allow the parts to soak longer and give access for some extra agitation and cleaning, and you won’t be contaminating the whole bottle of B Dip 🍷🍷
Thank you! Keep in mind I don‘t show the whole time I am soaking. One Dip is expensive therefore I try be as economical as possible 😂. You Are right there is contamination but I hope it‘s just a Little. I will overthink if I will change this in the future! Thank you!
Your presentation and painstaking watch restoration is outstanding, and I commend you (as does my young watchmaker daughter) for your diligence. ❤ Alas, it can be so easy to be scammed by unscrupulous people on that website, but you beat them by restoring an outstanding beautiful chronometer whose dial is to weep for. ...I have the 'emergency' version of this watch: twice during my naval career and recently beam out Mayday via satellite to save my life yet again. I have a special place for this fine chronometer you saved, and I wish you good tidings and many blessings - Wendi UK 🌻🌻🌻
Thank you for your comment it is really nice to read that! Wish you all the best!
My first good watch was a Breitling Super Avenger, so I always have a soft spot for the brand. Great video
All those parts on the right spot. Great work!
Thank you!
Amazing to watch.
Thank you!
Props 👏
Thank you!
dieses Video ist wie Meditation.
Danke !
Sowas hört man gerne!
Nice job, have an old Titus I haven't dared to start on yet, so many screws and springs, but I'll get around to it 😅. Didn't see you dip the escape wheel in epilame only the pallet fork. I was thought to do that as well to make sure the oil stays in place. Would also recommend you to get an "auto" oiler for the jewels, it makes oiling so much easier and you allways get the same amount of oil😊
Yeah you can epilame the escape wheel as well you are right. I just didn‘t do it this time because I somehow forgot it. 😅
Did you rebuild that cleaning machine and connect to the Pi? It's one of the coolest things I've seen! Wow!
Yes it was broken and I changed Motors and installed a Pi compatible to it. Thank you!
Perfect job on this one too. You are amazing precize. I posted another comment before and don't see it anymore. Do you care to share your python script for the watchcleaning machine? And what kind of controller do you use? Keep up the good work. Love all your videos. Perfectly detailed also.
Thank for your Kind words. Yeah for sure I can Share the Code but keep in mind it‘s written pretty sloppy 😅 The best is to contact me on Instagram. I can Share all you need :)
Have you tried getting/fitting new pusher caps?
I've never seen them worn through.
Nice work restoring the watch, it was a great video to watch 👍
Thank you. No I know they are not new but they are original! :D
Hands down: I couldn‘t find new ones up to now. But I keep my eyes open
Tolle Arbeit.
Merci!
Hello, are you restoring a Grovana brand watch which dates from the early 70s, the hour and minute hands turn but not the date. I found this watch, thank you
Kontakt me on instagram and we can talk!
Some are n/g on e bay and some are jems . I got a watch for parts not running over wound . Turned out it was magnetized also over wound . Needs a new glass .
Hope you enjoy your new watch!
I think the word you were looking for was fragile, for the hair spring and pallet fork, sensible would be wearing the right pair of shoes. Good videos though, I subscribed and gave you a thumbs up.
Thank you! Yeah I am not a native speaker. I do my very best to find the right words and keep it as understandable as possible but there will always be mistakes. So please don't hesitate and show them to me. I am very thankful for that.
Thanks for the nice words
A suggestion to you, instead of just providing subtitle text, do actual voice over. Doesn’t need to be live, can be voiceover after the fact.
Great video, and a beautiful watch.
My new Video will be like this. I don't like my voice and my english as well but I tried. Give me your honest feedback :)
What an absolutely beautiful watch
TOP
Thank you
Watching a Master working in its art is always MESMERIZING!!!! But IMHHO, I don't believe this watch was sold under dubious circumstances. If you buy something like this from ebay, you need to know in advance that 99.9 % of the time you are dealing with people that have no idea of what they are talking about, specially regarding watches. What I think the ebay seller wanted to say was that the balance was good, and for him/her, that is "running" condition. I have found many instances like this, specially when buying Chronographs. So you need to understand that this people do not have the knowledge of how to say or tell things in the same fashion that an individual like you or me could say, using the correct nomenclature or jargon. The only issues this movement had was that broken screw head, and incredibly dirty with dried oil. But asides of that, the movement was very good, and it came to full life under your expert hands!!!! And its a beautiful example of the Venus caliber 175. I have the Tri-Compas one, model 809 with the 24-hr dial, and is running beautifully too!!! Thanks for your show of Master Expertise!!!
Thanks for your comment. Maybe you are right but the Seller told me the watch was running all day Long and After selling he was not answering to my questions (Even when I simply stated the obvious and told him he doesn‘t have to worry because I am gonna make a project out of this one. I think scam is not a really wrong term considering this or? But nevertheless thanks for your nice and friendly comment!
Scammer.
@UhrenDantler how much did you pay for the watch?
how do you know it wasn't running when it went into the post?
I asked the former owner the same question and told him he doesnt have to be afraid of consequences because I will take it as a project. But he Never answered and just ghosted me.
@@UhrenDantler - I hope you left him "appropriate" feedback.... So hopefully that seller stops being a bad ebay seller.
@@kentdaigle yes I did. I Even send him a link to this video 😅
Well, at least you can use ST19 parts if any here are missing or broken…
I have never heard of ST19😅 thanks for the advice
The seagull ST1901 or 03 isn’t the same the tolerances are fractionally different on most parts.
@@nickjohnson217 Oh? Ok, guess I learned something new today then.
Word appreciate if you could talk through it, not everybody got time to read subtitles and watching at the same time...
What was the scam?
If it runs for a few seconds it runs does it not?
It was not running even for a few seconds. Running when pushing the Chrono is not like a normal watch should. The seller told me it was running like a normal watch for a whole day…
Even after buying I asked him why the watch is not running like he told me and he just ghosted me.
Your skills are amazing
Thank you!
Disregard the comment I made below as it was premature, +1 second per day is a great result. My comments about the description and asking if it was a scam, still stand.
Your heart is bleeding? Have you had that looked at ? Sounds serious ! Better get Dr Frankenstein 🇨🇦🤣
Isn‘t this a saying in english?
Heart is broken or someone is a bleeding heart so and so as Liberal
@@RobertSkene-qw3ob be gentle with my I am not a native speaker and will Never be
@@UhrenDantler I have many friends who have english as a second language. Your english is very very good. I'm grateful you wanted to learn english and are willing to share your thoughts with all us english speakers. Bravo to you!
scammed is double m. but yes you should of claimed your money back
I mean I like to repair it. So he would not have any Problems. The point is just it was different than what he told me…
Are you going to tell us what is happening????
@@keithjames9654 What do you mean?
what a beautful watch
Gentleman's wristwatch
I dont think it was a scam as it was kind of working, just not very good
