Star Wolf, or Wolf has to be one of those bad guys in video games I love. He just has that personality that I love. And in Super Smash Bros. he is a king!
I got this game recently. Whenever I play "Mission" mode, I like to choose Mission 3 cause of the Star Wolf battle. Plus it's nowhere near as annoying as the Star Wolf battle in Star Fox 64 on Venom.
New Starfox game criteria: 1. Music like Assault 2. Multiple mission paths like 64 3. Good 64 voices like Leon 4. Good Assault voices like Panther 5. Usage of Blue Marine againe 6. Co-op Story mode 7. Peppy's classic advice 8. Include Bill and Katt 9. Better multi-player line-up 10. MOAR Barrel Rolling! All of this on the Nintendo Wii to make an awesome game! Add more awesome things by replying.
@xDecKeR96 true but it intensified your skills afterwards and you became a beast in it. it's like, after you're able to defeat the hard andross and the hard wolf, you've officially mastered the game
@awesomnator YES! The barrel rolling is preetttty sweet! And Bill( Nye the science guy) and Katt were back-up people ,but that adds on to 9... And Multiple paths will keep players desideing (example)to Blow up this building or the save the buliding for later... The music is great, but I hope that they have another verson of the Star Wolf song. AND BETTER BOSSES( Because vcc5 said that this boss was BORING.....) StarFox: Battle For Cornria

i think there are some old comics that touch on back stories for example, they say that fox's dad and ardros wanted fox's mom. andros set a trap to kill fox' dad, but his mom got in it instead and got killed. from what i read in the wiki, the background story seems to be good, i wish i could find them. but as far as the games go, they could integrate more of that backstory into it, and ramp up the gameplay. SF has always a total lack of challange.
@davem1992ftw Yeah, me too, but his old voice is better suited for Panther's lines than new Leon's. What they could have done is recast so that new Leon had Panther's role...but we don't think of iguanas as charming so they didn't.

Ya they should of had star wolf do loops and stuff while fighting you, and like in 64 have them activily try to shoot eachother down (I mean I once saw Falco kill Leon in 64) (I think they do loops, ballel rolls, and u-turns in command you you got to take all 3 by yourself, and you got a time limit too)
I gotta say, in my opinion, this battle isn't all that bad. It's a pretty good throwback to 64. I admit that controlling the Arwing during this fight is really fucking slippy (see what I did there), but I just thought it wasn't all that bad of a fight. I just wish all that shit wasn't in the way.
@PokeYankeefan The lock-on lasers and ability to stop in the exact spot you were flying? Making it easier for an even easier boss battle isn't making it better-it's just not fun.

Yeah, the remix is by far the BEST iteration of this theme, but because your allies were only chased as a Scripted Event, Star Wolf Members were no longer an actual threat, plus, your allies didn't help...AT ALL, this is by far the worst fight with Star Wolf. Hell, even Command had a better one, and they were just dropping bombs everywhere, but even then, they TRIED to kill you.
If you ask me, star fox could be so much more. it's like their afraid to really grab the franchise and take it by the horns. Star fox is one of nintendo's most recognizable figures, and from what i've seen, it falls in second or third and overall content in the area of story after zelda and mario (i'm no hardcore nintendo fan so correct me if i'm wrong). make more all range mode play over huge maps (kinda like ace combat) along with other little nick-knacks would put this over the top imo.

that's a very interesting way to fight with the arwing. so calm and all. i usually had to lock and blast like crazy with the laser lol.

If you set the level to the hardest difficulty they put up a bit of a fight. However they chased you way more in the 64/3DS version.

I prefer Wolf's voice in 64 to this. Seeing Dark Knight Rises gave me a vague connection to Bane and Star Wolf voice wise.
