My google slides have a large black space at the top and bottom of my website on my phone and ipad. On the computer it looks great, any suggestions how to fix this?
Yes, that is the unfortunate thing with the black window background. Depending on the device/display you are using, the window will shift making the black borders visible.
Canvas Queen, Once we get our official classes, will you please make a video to show us how to get content we set up in our workrooms into those actual classes? Maybe this is an obvious thing, but It's certainly not obvious to me. lol
Our students will have iPads. While this works and looks great on the computer it doesn't translate to the iPad. Any suggestions on how to make it compatible with the iPad?
@@canvaslmsqueen Actually, I figured it out. When I insert a Word document from Google Docs into Google Sites, it includes a black border. But, if I insert a Google Docs document into Google Sites, there is no border. Thanks for your reply.
So, I tried this. And it looks great, unless it's your home page. When you click home, the black boarder is still there. Is there a way to get rid of the black border on the home page?
Yes having the same issue. Looks good in the edit page (after hitting save) but then when you navigate to your home page (in teacher view or in student view on both mobile and on my macbook) the black bars are still there.
Yes! If you go into the HTML editor and adjust the Width and Height in the code - play around with the dimensions of viewing window - you can get rid of the black bars.
@@canvaslmsqueen No matter how I adjust the dimensions, the black bars are exactly the same size when I go HOME. Changing the dimensions changes the view in PAGES, but not HOME. HELP!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! My google slides were jumping around because of the black bars and now it's gone!
You are surely the queen. I cannot thank you enough.
You are welcome :)

Yes! I am going to make the video once all the rosters and courses are finalized from the district.
I don't have the frame width & height in my code when I paste from Google Slides.

I would customize the size of the slide/viewing window, both in Google Slides and Canvas. Try to see what the best dimensions are.
@@canvaslmsqueen How do you customize the size of the slide/viewing window in Canvas?
@@canvaslmsqueen The google slide I'm working with is already customized to 9 x 16
@@LibbyKramer1 In the HTML editor - you can adjust the pixels to fit the dimensions of the slide.
I have the same problem when I insert a Google doc into Google Sites. I get a black border. Do you know how to get rid of the border?
This is a great question. Does Google Sites have an HMLT editor option?
