Wew that cpu voltage seems pretty high, if you can set it manually put it at around 1.28 - 1.35v instead or update the bios too bring it down.
As a too high voltage there will eventually kill the memory controller in the cpu.

Wow £365 for that rig is not bad at all! I also really like that case. Something about the handle takes me back to the days when I had a Thermaltake Level 10. I really miss it. Speaking of the Level 10, I would LOVE if you came across it one day and did a build in it. To this day one of my favorite cases ever.

8:11 dont repaste it. (well, you can, but it is not recommended)
First, there is no "paste" to repaste. The 5700 (XT) reference coolers use a graphite pad. This pad gets destroyed when you open the card and can not be reused. Since this pad has some thickness a repaste would actually not work. You would also need to add washers to the back to increase the mounting pressure back to normal. But with that you increase the pressure the thermal pads put on the VRAM. This should be fine, but you never know.
A simple cleaning with pressured air will do the job just fine. (remember to hold the fan so it wont rotate on its own)
The big advantage of this graphite pad is, that is has nearly no loss is function over time like thermal paste. Since it cant dry out, it will last 10+ years before a replacement would be recommended.
Fun fact: That was not the reason AMD chose the graphite pad tho. They used it to make up for the not really flat vapor chamber they use on these cards.

Funny, I just had a similar ROG gaming PC here yesterday for some overhaul, w. a R5 3600, GTX 1650 & 16 GB RAM. Same super annoying case exhaust fan. When you set it to manual and turn off the fan, it will only come on when the case temp exceeds 60 degrees (which it never does really). Though with a 5700XT it's best to replace the fan indeed.

Up until a week ago, I used to have a Reference 5700xt, ever since release. The second best thing, that happend to it, in terms of noise and heat, was to change the Graphite pad to thermal Paste.
The best change was to undervolt it to ~850-870mv.
I hated the Card with a passion, constant Driver crashes and unconsistent Performance. Also the Noise drove me Mad. It was like sitting next to a blowdryer!
I never regreted a purchase so much. Whilst In the US and apparently in the UK you could sell it for a high price and practicaly exchange it for a 6700xt, here in centeral Europe this sadly did not happen.
But in the end, I managed to find a 3070ti for ~400$ whitch is nice.

I bought a £1000 custom build from CEX with a 12700k, TUF gaming OC RTX 3080, Corssair RGB 32GB DDR4 3600Hmz with a Corsair - iCUE 5000X case and corsair 240mm h100i elite capellix and a Z690 TUF Atx mobo. It was new, i peeled the plastic of the case and the usb and GPU ports still had the plastic covers on, was a custom build from Stormgate as it has the sticker on the case. I had to go and pick it up by train but it was worth it!!!

OEM motherboards can be a real pain specially at HP or DELL i was really suprised that this one really looked great from the layout had a HP OEM motherboard which had custom size and only supported G series or up to 65W which limited it at end to a 5700G that was really annoying =/ specially cause the PC to this motherboard had a 3070 in it

The fact that someone used this device for 3 years with single channel ram is just sad, to not know that for as little as 18$ you can vastly improve the performance of the device.

By any chances, did you have the dimensions of the case ? If yes i'm wondering if you can switch the default cooler for a better one.
I have the same PC i've just small differences : First i've 4 DDR4 slots (Also came with 1 single stick that i've changed later) Second got a 1650 Super, 3 512Gb NVMe SSD and 4 my rear fan seems to have a weird behavior like he don't run like he should only when the CPU temp hit the 75° . . .
Unless to say, it' still a good PC for those who can't have custom one

About the 5700xt price being higher than the 6700xt during the GPU shortage. I did exactly what you said and sold my 5600xt for around 200-300€ more than what I bought my current 6700 XT for. I got lucky with the 6700xt though and managed to get a new one that cheap at the time but I could've easily gotten an upgraded card for free as well l.

Team Red really did good with this build. But realistically the only thing I'd change is that Single Stick of RAM configuration. Other than that, this is a very solid AMD build from Asus, and not a bad price to performance either.

The custom OEM motherboards in prebuilds won't always have the bios updates that standalone motherboards would have that adds support for new CPUs so it might not support a 5000 series Ryzen even though the chipset technically could.

A few years back when i was waiting on memory to arrive from NewEgg, I gamed on a single 4GB stick of ram and it was surprisingly good, I expected half my games to not even load at all but they did albeit slower than normal and once they got past the initial load most of them played quite smoothly with only a few having some occasional frame drops. The drops were annoying but didn't make it impossible to play the games especially considering i didn't expect the game to run in the first place. Rig was an Asus Maximus III Extreme P55 board with an Intel Core i7-875k and for graphics I had the true jet engine simulator the AMD Radeon R9 290 reference.

My German friend has this PC with a 3070 and a ryzen 5 5600 and its a hot box. The mobo is also very poor and it came with the same cpu cooler and both are terrible on thermals and I hear his fans constantly when in discord with him. I feel PCs like this are a good example of why you should build your own or at least do your home work before just trusting it'll be good because it's a strix.

When a PC is working harder, surely the fans should ramp up anyway? When working less, the fans then ramping down. What is very disappointing but not a surprise with a pre-build is only having the two ram slots.

I like cex for GPUs as you never know what your going to get. I spent 300 on a titan XP(2017) (tiny bit better than a 1080ti) so I thought it was a good deal. It turns up and to my surprise they sent me the starwars edition with display case and even the stickers! Slammed it in an old 8700 rig so 1400p/ 4k now a worry :)
