Okay, story time! When my dad was in college, he had an assignment to make something that could solve everyday problems. His idea was a coffee cup that could detect if it was tilting too much and make a sound to alert the user if they are dozing off and in danger of spilling hot coffee on themselves. Apparently, his teacher liked it so much, they decided to keep it. Edit: I realized that I forgot to mention how it functioned, it used a mercury switch, in case anyone was wondering. Basically a small glass bulb filled with mercury and two metal rods, the buzzer could detect whether the mercury was touching the rods, which would be affected by whether or not the cup was tilted.

@@ryanbraun804 yes, the white slips between your fingers when you open them slightly, the yolk should stay in your hands. Spill-Not? The one shown is the standalone HARDWARE version. I acquired the SOFTWARE version soon after completing US Navy Boot Camp and being assigned to a ship. The initial software version was continually updated until it reached a release that allowed me to navigate ladders (steep stairs) with a cup of coffee while the ship was in the middle of a storm in the Bering Sea. (Where the show "Deadliest Catch" is filmed.) This release had some added features, such as the ability to eat a meal with one hand while using the other to prevent your dinner tray and cup from sliding off the edge of the table when the ship rolled a bit too heavily. This release also included the "Urinal Target Lock" App...use your imagination. While intended for use at sea, this particular App can also be used in land-based facilities after excessive consumption of alcohol, especially beer. After 30+ years the "Spill-Not" software is still memory-resident, although the 55 year old hardware platform it is running on could use a few upgrades and doesn't boot up in the morning quite as fast as it once did.

Little trick if you need to separate eggs. Use three containers. Separate the white into one, pour the yolk in another, and then separate the next eggs over the third. That one gets the white, and if it's 100% yolk free (important if you're making meringues), you can add it to the first and the yolk to the second. If you get any yolk in the third, you'll need a fourth one to be the "clean" container, and any further broken yolks and whites can join the other one. Those eggs can be used for scrambled eggs or an omelette and the separated ones have their own purposes. No egg waste at all! If you don't have an egg separator, get an egg cup, crack the egg onto a saucer or small plate, and assuming the yolk is intact, gently cover the yolk with the (open end, of course) egg cup, and push until it's touching the saucer. Pour off the white and put the yolk in another container. It's always a good idea to have a second recipe to make that only requires yolks! Love the look of the coffee maker - it reminds me of a "teas made" we had as a wedding present. A cup of tea or instant coffee in bed was great!
one way to separate a egg yolk easily once you crack the egg simply take a empty bottle, squeeze the air out and release it and the suction will pull the yolk out of the egg white
19:14 Another great option is to carry around an electronic lighter. Had one for about a year and haven't gone back since. I haven't even had to recharge it yet since I bought it. Plus it looks super cool!

Most nice coffee makers, especially ones with the espresso parts, double as alarm clocks. They have clocks, you preset the time for it to make coffee, and it beeps loudly once it's done. My parents have had one for at least 20 years.
I do a lot of camping and hiking, and I do have the LifeStraw actually three of them. as well as the windproof waterproof matches... and as a camper and hiker they both are Lifesavers. and that laser keyboard totally awesome, for me typing on a cell phone is very hard not mentioning I'm very clumsy something like that would definitely make my life easier and make me look more graceful😂.
My family all has lifestraws. For emergencies, like power outages or times with "boil water" advisory posted. Just ordered the pineapple slicer. I cut them myself often. What a pain! LOL
If I had to chose between the Clocky, or the coffee one, I would chose the Clocky. I don't drink coffee, so it wouldn't be my first choice unless it brews up some fresh tea! Though, I have a puppy alarm clock, I love him to bits, and he wakes me up at around 7:00am every morning. On rare days where he wants to sleep until about 8:00am, I will be happy to keep sleeping, or will just chill in bed on my phone until he wakes up and I take him out to go to the bathroom.

Curious about how well it does with chip and cereal bags?
6:46 SO relatable. (Exept the coffee part, I'm 10.) My dad had to drag me down the stairs to take my pill one morning. I held on my pillow for dear life, so as to avoid hitting my head on the stairs. Oh, and when I do grow up, I'm getting that coffee clock. And clocky, he would help so much.
Imagine if the alarm clock on wheels rolls on your face That would probably no only wake you up but also you will have a broken alarm clock in your room
Wish does have an amazing toothpaste dispenser!!! I've had it two years now and it still works wonderfully. It's great for the simplicity of not having to take the cap off and on every day and it always pushes from The bottom the toothpaste all comes out of the tube!!!
That hot drink warmer plate:: I have an old plug in coffee mug hot plate I use, although mine is just the one level of heat, it does keep my coffee at a temperature I do like it. I do like that the one you are showing has a few levels to set it at though. In case anyone is wondering about the life straw, the only thing that it seems incapable of being able to drink out of is certain types of radioactive water, which has molecules smaller than the straw can filter.
5:20 it's better to get a foldable or cheap bluetooth keyboard, over these laser ones. Having used one, it's not good in bright light and eats batteries fast. A Logitech Bluetooth keyboard can last 18 months on a single battery. 9:00 people who've tried these, have complained about nausea. 11:00 I need that candle.

Some of us remember many of these from our childhood, such as staple free stapler, coffee-maid and egg separators. alarm clock on wheels that runs away is not a new invention, it's been around for over 15 years saw one in a Sky Mall magazine a long time ago; TBH I'd probably either lock the thing outside my bedroom after it ran away or I'd throw it out the window I don't think it'd survive a 20 foot plus drop to the dumpster
Did you know you can separate eggs between your fingers? Cup your hand, break the egg with the other then pour the egg into your cupped hand. VERY slightly spread the fingers of that hand and the whites will filter through, leaving you with a yolk in the cup of your hand. Toss the yolk wherever it needs to go and boom, you have a separated egg. A tip for working with eggs in general; never crack them directly into your recipe. Always crack them into a separate bowl, one egg at a time. Even storebought eggs can sometimes have a really bad one in the dozen and cracking each separately into that bowl can keep you from ruining whatever you're adding eggs to. Also, mug warmers have been around for decades; in many cases, longer than several of you have been alive. They're a pretty basic thing to make...a sort of hotplate for your mug. Even the timer feature isn't new. LOL I guess everything old is new again.
I'd choose that coffee alarm clock over the Clocky one. At least that first one will give me a coffee when I get up... Clocky will just be the same as my cat, who constantly bothers me until I get up and doesn't give me anything to make it worth it.

And clocky, he would help so much.
darn good para for a 10 yr old
I would prefer Clocky because he's so cute and I love robots!
Imagine if the alarm clock on wheels rolls on your face
That would probably no only wake you up but also you will have a broken alarm clock in your room
Imagine it rolling away from you then stumping your toe and nearly breaking it on something in the dark, there is another broken rolling clock😂😂
But it's good because it is annoying
i have a switchbot its great but the replacement batteries are a pain as they are uncommon
I want the sponge dish soap dispenser. Genius!
it's pretty great!
They didn't look at book shelves till now. Great job haha
Both clocky and the tea clock would be needed to get me up in the morning
Wish does have an amazing toothpaste dispenser!!! I've had it two years now and it still works wonderfully. It's great for the simplicity of not having to take the cap off and on every day and it always pushes from The bottom the toothpaste all comes out of the tube!!!
That hot drink warmer plate:: I have an old plug in coffee mug hot plate I use, although mine is just the one level of heat, it does keep my coffee at a temperature I do like it. I do like that the one you are showing has a few levels to set it at though. What you showed does look pretty much the same as mine except the buttons on the plate compared to mine have a turn switch on the plug.
Amazing!
My daughter's daughter is a huge BE AMAZED fan
I…WANT…THAT…BARASEUR!!!
I happen to own a LifeStraw (mine is the alternate green color scheme) and it definitely works as advertised.
mwh too
18:04 “not exactly were a theif would look “
Theifs watching:
It's so much easier to separate eggs by hand
Even better, with chopsticks!
I think the alarm clock coffee machine would be my choice. As long as it can make tea.
So if I use a thermal sealer does that mean I have go through the atrocious task of opening it for the first time every time I want to open it?
In case anyone is wondering about the life straw, the only thing that it seems incapable of being able to drink out of is certain types of radioactive water, which has molecules smaller than the straw can filter.
It's actually really bad at filtering water. The water still tastes like crap, and sometimes still tainted.
i want to have all of them😃😃😃😃
Me too!
Me too 😄
YES
5:20 it's better to get a foldable or cheap bluetooth keyboard, over these laser ones.
Having used one, it's not good in bright light and eats batteries fast. A Logitech Bluetooth keyboard can last 18 months on a single battery.
9:00 people who've tried these, have complained about nausea.
11:00 I need that candle.
Good to know. Thnx!
IT’S SPHERICAL!
These changed my life alot even without buying them
YOU BETTER NOT PUT THAT PINEAPPLE ON YOUR PIZZA
Put the pineapple
@@Sef3mberAntonio ew
I agree pov me when I see someone eating pineapple on pizza 🤮
PIZZA ON YOUR PINEAPPLE
Please do.
Has anyone else ever wondered why socks and underwear when they are sold in packages of 6 come in a ziploc style bag but potato chips don't?🤨Avon was selling the Pineapple Peeler/Corer/Slicer years ago!!! That's where I bought mine and I love it!

I got this to 50k likes!!!
I LOVE clocky! That’s because I have to get up for school at like 6:15
The fastest waking-up machine would be a coffee machine that runs through the house, spilling hot coffee in it's trail.
Some of us remember many of these from our childhood, such as staple free stapler, coffee-maid and egg separators. However, the laser keyboard means I can carry my Pi 4 once I work out how to use my old iPad as a screen. My wife is hemiparuplegic and struggles with toothpaste especially at the end, I think I'll buy her the dispenser. Thank you, this type of video is usually full of tat, this one has some really useful suggestions.
@Mark Harris
I'm sorry to hear that about the Mrs. What is a stroke or diabetic coma or car accident? I hope she's on the road to full recovery.
@@mssydneil It was a stroke or series of strokes over two or three days when she was 28. She was a very fit sporty young lady, never smoked, drank within social norms, never had a major head trauma so no one knows why she had them.
@@markharrisllb I'm sorry to hear that. I just made 30 last year and I have great health so far. I take natural vitamins and eat healthy yet rich plus I excerise and stay away from fast food.
Has anyone ever told you that your voice could put 30 men to sleep at once?

15:57 I NEED THIS NOW-
18:21 I’m a heathen who cuts with kitchen shears. Come find me. 🏃🏻♂️
17:50 *robbers* noted
Lmqo I was thinking the same thing
3:52 so relieved to hear that news 😮💨
I actually have the ecoco toothpaste dispenser as well as holder and it's kind of cool actually.
alarm clock on wheels that runs away is not a new invention, it's been around for over 15 years saw one in a Sky Mall magazine a long time ago; TBH I'd probably either lock the thing outside my bedroom after it ran away or I'd throw it out the window I don't think it'd survive a 20 foot plus drop to the dumpster
We need that but made by Nokia, then if would survive a 20 foot drop
Okay.

I wish I had every one of these products.
I'd choose that coffee alarm clock over the Clocky one. At least that first one will give me a coffee when I get up... Clocky will just be the same as my cat, who constantly bothers me until I get up and doesn't give me anything to make it worth it.
i spy with my little eye another cat parent
