National juries know that Slimane did a big mistake about Israel the day before the finale show. In France, he lost a lot of support due to his bad behaviour.
Slimane was amazing and gave me goosebumps. He probably is the best vocalist this year but i could never vote for it because i feel I've seen this from France at least 10 times in Eurovision already. However I wish the best for France this year

And when they send slightly different artists (for example opera singers, or people who sing in a regional language) , Europe ranks them in the bottom 🤷♀️.

J’adore ce moment où Slimane se recule pour chanter a capella… il dégage de la force, de l’assurance… à ce moment là je me suis dit « Tu vas calmer tout le monde calmement, et, simplement… » et c’est exactement ce qu’il s’est passé… de manière très simple, très épurée, sans artifice, sa voix s’est élevée de façon sublime. Je ne suis pas une fan de Slimane, ce n’est pas mon genre de musique mais là franchement, j’ai été bluffée, subjuguée et émue. He does have backing vocals... but he doesnt rely on them, to cover his voice. Sadly the camera doesnt work most of the time... and theres few things that need to be change... it looks too much cliche and cheesy... After other similar performances like Portugal.... I was watching the 2nd semi final without expecting anything but dance and show. Didn't see this coming. My husband was doing sth really noisy and I told him to stop whatever he was doing and let me listen to make sure I wasn't mistaken... Haven't been so moved by a song,a voice ,a performance for ages... Thank God there are such amazing, passionate, unbelievable voices like this!!! I feel like crying everytime I watch him.And the most amazing is that his live performance is even better than the official one. He does have backing vocals... but he doesnt rely on them, to cover his voice. Sadly the camera doesnt work most of the time... and theres few things that need to be change... it looks too much cliche and cheesy... After other similar performances like Portugal.... Slimane stage looks cheap and copycat. Aside from that, he does have the best male vocals in this year

I was watching the 2nd semi final without expecting anything but dance and show. Didn't see this coming. My husband was doing sth really noisy and I told him to stop whatever he was doing and let me listen to make sure I wasn't mistaken... Haven't been so moved by a song,a voice ,a performance for ages... Thank God there are such amazing, passionate, unbelievable voices like this!!! I feel like crying everytime I watch him.And the most amazing is that his live performance is even better than the official one. I am not dismissing this year's excellent performance, but "L' oiseau et l'enfant" (77, eurovision winner), and "Un jour, Un enfant ( 69, Eurovision winner) exist, and I don't think Slimane quite reaches that.
