At the time of release of this review I have already used this phone for 1.5 months. I think the battery endurance rating doesn't do justice as I have been getting excellent battery life. Its an easy one and half days phone, and i expect battery life to get even better over time with Motorola's adaptive battery and learning usage pattern integration. I have also heard the same from other reviewers.
Maybe its just your unit and you should re-run battery tests on a different unit.
Also, Cameras are very good for daytime shots and does a decent job at night, and at par with some flagships.
    Overall good review 👍

Hello Jigar.. Have you used Gcam in this phone? If yes, does it improve the camera performance? How is video recording quality of default camera in night time? I have seen it to be very bad in some reviews..

    • @jigar.m
      @jigar.m 2 года назад +2

      @@mayanksingh12 Hello,
Gcam is not available on playstore, i haven't tried installing apk, but i can vouch that the stock camera app by Moto is excellent. I would agree with other reviewers that Night time video recording is not flagship level. But apart from that day time shots and videos , and night time shots with night mode enabled, selfie cam are excellent and match or surpass many other flagships.

      Hello Jigar,
I have bought Samsung A52S 2 months ago and i m not happy with it. Looking forward to buy my first Motorola phone. As it's a flagship n expensive too. Is it worth buying, as I would be thinking to use it for atleast next 3 years.
I am looking for a phone which should be secured and with good battery life. I don't use it for gaming at all. Kindly advise. Thank you

      @@colindavid1934 Hello Colin.
I think this phone has great value, especially if you are looking for one of the smoothest and purest android experiences. You can expect better battery life if you aren't doing highly demanding tasks like playing games. 3 years is great as its exactly the timeline Motorola has promised support, if not more in terms of minor security patches later. You shouldn't go wrong with this one as it's a great buy ! ✌️

I switched to this from S21. Moto is superior for what I want. It's just more intuitive. I bought a Pixel 4 XL for $109 from Ebay and sent it to Verizon for $700 off. I got mine for $290 total as a result. I prefer the fast snappy screen, more plastic older gorilla glass which is flexible and won't crack and break when you drop it (phone is also in a case so I don't care about colors). The phone is just the perfect almost pure Android experience. It's too bad it won't sell well because it's better than flagship Samsung from a usability standpoint.

Same. I returned the Samsung S22+ even with the $800 rebate for my Motorola edge+ phone. The reasons were as follows:
Battery life wasn't good. With my phone usage it would be down to 20% by 4pm.
Shortcut tricks. Chopping for phone flashlight is a must as I have a cat that loves to send her ball under the couch or fridge when playing hockey or fetch.
Camera was taking pictures a little too bright for my liking even on cloudy days.
Taking a screenshot shot with the Samsung is a PIA. Power and volume down. Awkward to say the least two handed operation. On the Moto it's three fingers briefly on the face of the phone.
Too many strikes against it for my taste.

I will never again I repeat never again get a flagship phone that has a 1080p display I used to think there wasn't much difference but I went with the s22 ultra this year after I traded in my pixel 6 on it and it's night and day quad HD is noticeably better than 1080p it didn't used to be that noticeably better but quad HD they've perfected it now back in the days of like the LG G3 and things like that you didn't notice as much how much better it was than 1080 but now it's a distinctively noticeable difference I can't believe people are making flagship phones with 1080p displays and whatever apples putting out in between 1080 and 2K I don't know why Apple doesn't just do a full on quad HD display I don't know why they do something in between just to be different

Yes indeed Bruce , having 1080 p and calling it a flagship doesnt work for me either mate , and it is a major disappointment to also see samsung the king of displays downgrade the models below the Ultra this year and last get degraded to 1080 P .
Even my galaxy 5 year old galaxy S8+ makes them and other brand phone models look like poverty packs while it is having a beautiful 529 PPI display compared to 425 PPi ,
then again smart phone brands in general across the board these days calling their top models flagships yet ship without basic accessories and features like a charger , cheap wired buds , a headphone jack , SD card are just lack lustre in my view , add to that a lot of phone companies ditching a metal frame for plastic is just utterly disappointing .
Despite improvements in camera and performance , smart phones in general are just MEH compared to older proper flagship models .

@@mikldude9376 yes indeed you're right flagships a few years ago were actual flagships when you bought an LG flagship like the G8 it had everything in the kitchen sink in it or the v40 or v50 what in the world they ever thought to start dropping them to 1080p I have the s22 ultra right now 1080p looks awful compared to it I have an iPhone 13 the regular one and it's got like 460 pixels but not quite 2K but it looks like a 1080 display compared to this flagships used to be flagships but now there's very few that actually deserve that title if it doesn't have a 2K display it's not a flagship 1080p is from like 10 years ago

Apple aims for a PPI target and doesn’t care about resolution. It’s why they landed on 5k for their 27 inch displays when no other manufacturer is doing that and just stick with 4k
