    the main problem i see is that WE JUST DONT CARE. hinduism has given us so much liberty that basically we are not bounded by it, people of other religions especially islam respect and follow their religion strictly and if i am not wrong are not allowed to eat pork and they really do adhere to it whereas most of the modern generation hindus would happily eat beef after thinking once and this is happening in kerala and other states where hindus are literally eating what once was considered holy by their ancestors, the thing is we really need to understand our religion and follow its ideals not strictly but atleast moderately.

    As a Sikh I believe in logic & reasonable approach according to circumstances inorder to survive. Vegetarian is always better but it’s doesn’t work in all aspects of life in universe because we have to deal with a different situation like wars to natural disasters. If we are not used to eat meat how would be able to survive. I believe in less consumption of meat is a only solution.

    Being vegetarian does not necessarily make you a good person.
    But what I don't like about many non-vegetarians is that they insist that eating animals/birds/fish is the same as eating plants. That is clearly untrue. Logically, a vegetarian/vegan diet is more ethical than their diet. It might sound offensive but it is the truth.
    Do whatever you want but don't expect people to hold your food habits at the same pedestal as theirs just because you don't like hearing the truth.

    • @RAIRADIO
      @RAIRADIO 3 года назад +3

      It's not the same at all, I agree the equivalence is ridiculous. It's just a clever choice to have more option of food and nutrients and make use of your body type - which is omnivorous. The problem is we dont consume meat within limit. In India we still probably east one meat item a day and eggs for breakfast at most and also have vegetarian days. But in other parts of the world every meal in non veg. Another point is if middle east and nordic nations had to go veg, they will just die, because nothing grows in that climate.

      True , plants dont have emotions , expression , nervous system or brain to feel pain , even the fruit falls automatically after sometime this doesn't mean that we are killing them . Kipping means taking someone's life without their choice , so how is it wrong in consuming plant products .

    • @nerisalobo
      @nerisalobo 2 года назад

      You're wrong, that is just like saying plant life is less valuable then animal life so let's just attack plants since they can't cry or squeal like animals, we know what we are doing and accept it as it unlike you hypocrites who claim to care for all life. There is a reason why a predator exists for every prey, imagine telling a lion or a bear "Oh look you are unethical for eating another animal" They won't give a damn about you're puny useless opinion and neither will we, what you call ethical is actually stupidity in my eyes, perhaps that explains why India got invaded several times, you think and behave like a prey and lo and predator will show up to hunt you down, when it comes to survival we should do whatever it takes to not just survive but also thrive. And if you're going to say animals are not evolved enough to understand or care about morals then I guess that's more than enough for us also to not care. We're omnivores for a reason not herbivores like cows and goats. You want to live like a cow and a goat sure go ahead and be one all your life, I would rather be a cat that hunts.

    Mr. Lakhani I agree with your opinion and why shouldn't I, although I haven't read Vedas but in Geeta which I have read Supreme Lord Krishna never force us to eat Satvik or Rajvik foods the Godhead is instead giving us the knowledge of how our system would undergo changes by consumptions of those, though he made us obvious the benefits of being vegetarian (Satvik foods) as it is easy to access control our mind on the other hand he provides us with the knowledge of consuming Non veg diets which has no benefits at all, however he never said that surviving on Rajvik or Tamasic foods don't get liberated... Now, this is our own choice which one we would like to prefer.... Most importantly Tamasic/meat foods creates lust in our tongue(sense organ) that is it get addicted to it thus we have lust for food, which is also a lust that my Lord says "Adharma". Lust,anger,hate,these are all Adharma...

    It was British they divided Hindu n Muslims on basis of cow but interesting thing is that they ate beef in India.
    For example in history books they mentioned that Aryans (Hindu) invaded India 5000 years ago than Muslims invaded India. British themselves never colored in religion, they never mentioned that Christians invaded India. Instead of Christians they used term as East India company or British Raj. They were shrewd they never used religion for themselves. How smart they were??? We still fighting and they are growing.

    I was born a non vegeterian catholic, but I've been vegan for 5 years. I feel happier, healthier, and my conscience is clear. To me every animal and critter is an expression of the divine. A cow is no different from a dog, a chicken is no different to a parrot, a cat is no different to a lamb. Yet we kill 80 billion animals, and 3 trillion fish in modern day concentration camps, every male chick is ground alive as a waste product, every male calf born out of artificially impregnating dairy cows is shot or killed for viel. It is impossible to eat meat & dairy and revere / respect animals in today's world.

    There are so many superstitions in both Islam and Hinduism. So rather than just targeting meet eating, we should first solve those. For example in Islam people waste so much of money on Hujj. Which is total useless. If my grandfather would have not gone to Hujj and saved that money for betterment of my family, we would have been in much better position. Instead of going to Hujj people could give that money to poor. They can fill stomack to thousands of people. 100 of trees can be planted. Education can be given to so many students. Visiting Saudi for Kaba is superstition and we should come out of it. How come we are making this useless think pillar of Islam.

He saw my health conditions and said what you are eating? I said veg food, ghee, paneer, milk and so on. Then I don't know why he asked me this question, don't you take fish? I replied no meat fish. He then asked me, for how long you are not eating? I replied one year. He suggested me to start my usual non-veg diet again but this time with a lot of green vegetables and I did it. I was feeling the energy and strength again. But the interesting part of the story is that, that Doctor was a strict vegetarian Tamizh Brahmin.

      Meat,fish,eggs,milk etc are high protein products...If you eat them yes probably you get proteins but at the same time, the negative energies of those products remain accumulated in our system this creates lustful mind within us, I mean sexual desires grow tremendously, thus mind become unstable.. however, this is the age of Kalyuga and our fate has made us fond of all these Tamasic and Rajvik diets we can't deny it rather than accepting what is our fate, but still those who are surviving on veg diet they have great beneficial... Green leaves undergoes direct photosynthesis on receiving sunlight thereby 100% energy is stored in plants or the fruits that it bears, this means its similar like receiving direct vitamin D when exposed to Sunlight having suitable frequency . Such people become more peaceful inside, they have greater access to control their mind but still many are not aware of it, rather they generate more negative energies still by their bodily senses.... Well if you can't leave non veg diet than I recommend you to have the creatures that are much below the animal kingdom like "fish" or some other creatures of lower class possessing higher proteins rather than eating meat of chicken,pork,etc because these animals when get slaughtered generates chemicals within their body than can risk our system and make it prone to deadly diseases like heart attack,cancers,etc..

Pretty much everything in a vegan diet is made up of various forms of sugar and fiber. People should stop being brainwashed by people who claim a higher moral ground based on what pre packed food they buy.

The same festivals and rituals have been followed for a long time and only in the 18th century animal sacrifices ended being the only time the religious Hindus used to eat meat. These mandirs are MataJi mandirs of KaliMaa, Bhairavi,Durga and Mahakaal. There are around over 10,000 of these mandirs each in india making it a big part of Indian and Hindu culture. There are many companies in india that sell meat for cheap prices abroad. Now is the time to close them for the new Hindu Community.

I don't have the self-discipline to be a vegan, but the meat I eat I either raise myself or I have assurances that the animals led a happy life. That is how I can look it the mirror.

    There are 3 main reasons as to why humans are designed to be on a Vegetarian diet.
    1. Human eyes are trichromatic to identify green coloured food in nature for consumption instead of dichromatic vision that carnivores have
    2. A herbivore's alimentary canal is somewhat 5-6x of its body length, while carnivore's alimentary canal is somewhat 1-2x of its body length. Humans alimentary canal resembles that of a herbivore
    3. Now our teeth - when we eat food, we have both cutting and grinding action, while meat eaters only have cutting action, because for Humans digestion starts in your mouth not in your stomach like Carnivores.
    Now having said all these, the idea is to consume a simple software/diet which is more easily digested and assimilated into the body, which will keep your system at ease. Eating meat can easily cause ~50-56hrs to pass through the system.
    Hinduism even though now it has formally become a religion - Sanatana dharma has always been a conscious process towards everything in life; because the beauty of being born as a 'Human being' is that unlike other creatures, you can determine your scale of evolution consciously.

    he is right.. there is no connection. many rishies ate meat. who have courage to say swami Vivekananda is not hindu. It is only said of gunas of food u eat. Rajas Tamas and satwa guna . Some professsions need rajo guna eg. Army men who protect our country should be courageious brave and ruthless against enemy.. if he onlybeat food of satwaguna what will happen.. hahah.
    it all depend on individual.. God never prescribe one diet..

    Plants do not have sentience. That is the main difference between eating animals and planets. Also, I am no expert or scholar in Hinduism, nor do I think Hindus in today's society even refer to this text, but read chapter 4 of the manushastra... Let me know if this is a text Hindus would read and think about eating meat.

      For a long time I myself thought “hey plants don’t have feelings” and now as a gardener and a person who try’s to grow their own food I have realized that in order to grow the vegetables that vegans eat lots of pests have got to be killed! Beautiful caterpillars have to get killed so that the cabbage survives! Swami Satchidananda mentions this in his book the healthy vegetarian! This is why I believe it is up to us to decide if we want to eat or not because there is exploitation weather you eat mean or not! And therefore being respectful and grateful for your food should be the most important thing!

    Food recommendations are based on the profession. Professions that do not need great physical activity are recommended to have vegetarian food so it could be easily digested.Others whose profession involves great physical activity can go for non-vegetarian food.

      It's not true. You can obtain enough power from plants, and also, diary products, and eggs. You don't have to eat meat. Meat also don't give energy. It gives number of aminoacids, and very much various vitamins and minerals, that are somehow difficult to obtain from other sources. But for power and energy, it's sacharides and fats, that matters. In other words, you can eat for example coconut oil and carbohydrates from plants, and also some eggs and diary products and have enough power and energy.

    This man is trying to say the right thing but he isn't expressing it correctly.
    Eating veg food is better than non veg because you aren't taking any life.
    cutting fingernails is not equal to cutting fingers.Vegetarian people don't eat plants,they eat plant products.
    Have you ever seen a vegetarian eating an apple tree?The fruit becomes ripe and it will eventually fall off and even if we pluck the fruit it will grow back we aren't taking any life by being a vegetarian.You eat corn from corn plant not the entire plant.
