India was not converted fully because of the great in-resistance from great Kings like Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Maharana Pratap, Raja Ranjit Singh, The Sikh Gurus, Ahoms to name a few. And Those Accusing Hindus of Cowardice should get to know about why Shaistekhan left Pune for Bengal and How British/Arabs never touched the Maharashtra Coast (Kokan Region) until British rule.
The very reason someone becomes a king is that he is the least coward of all and so was Sivaji. But we never lacked foolish assholes like Prithviraj Chauhan, shambhaji3.....endless list of people who never deserved such responsibilities.
@@tcod69kimayanaik91 Never said he was weak, he was just dumb, like Raghunath Rao. For him, war was like a game, and Maratha territories were like family property. He is the reason British got surat. A ruler who can just give up a land taken by blood of 1000men like a wedding laddoo is a foolish Asshole
You missed a point. And non-Indians who are reading this: India is totally different than your so called America. A stereotype won't fit here. Every state is country - different cultures, languages, behavior, literacy, poverty rate etc (everything is different). What this guy said will much apply only to few states. If you go down south in India, you'll see vast difference. Everyone is knowledgeable in Hinduism, they pray and read their scriptures, unfortunately North has lost this. I'm from the North. I know.
@@rishab5293 iam from south. I know there still exists caste discrimination. But not extreme as in north. here communists have helped them to overcome discrimination. But at the same time moral hindu values are lost and not known to many south indians because of communism.
Nowadays Indians only wake up when some other countries invade India because of not castiesim but of liberalism, secularism, feminism..sad but it's the reality.
when you look into the writings of the Ancient foreign travelers about the culture and society of then India, they clearly wrote that India was the only country which was Highly Developed in the areas of Spirituality, Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Arts, Economics, Politics etc, the Kings and kingdoms of India were ruled under the Guidance of Enlightened Spiritual Masters (Gurus), that paved way for High Moral and Spiritual Societies, Ahimsa, Bhakthi, God Conciseness, Moksha became Ultimate Goals for people lived in this part of the land. we were never been as one nation but individual kingdoms in the subcontinent. When the Barbarians invaded they took advantage of small kingdoms and spiritually inclined society and exploited.
+sree ram Again you are blaming the outsiders. So far as you do that, you are giving away the control of your destiny to those outsiders, who are anyway going to exploit anything they can.
Nowadays Indians only wake up when some other countries invade India because of not castiesim but of liberalism, secularism, feminism..sad but it's the reality.
This is only a partial answer. The reason is given clearly in the Bhagavad Gita and more so in the Mahabharata. Krishna himself warns that the age of Kali Yuga will bring with it the complete decline of Vedic/Indian civilization. The Kali Yuga began on the day when Krishna ascended, and his capital city of Dwaraka sank into the Ocean. From then onwards (even during the time of the Buddha) the moral fabric of Indian society started to reduce to the lowest common denominator in which social class, privilege, etc. began to erode the core values. In the prior Yugas, starting with Satya Yuga, the bull known as Dharma was on 4 legs. In Treta Yuga on 3 legs. In Dwapara Yuga Dharma was standing on 2 legs, In Kali Yuga, Dharma stands on 1 leg. Buddhism was the first evidence of that breakdown, because buddha himself pursued his path due to his observation of the moral decay of the society of that time. However, Buddhism failed to take root ultimately because it was philosophically incomplete in comparison to the vedic philosophy (as proven by Adi Shankara). In Kali Yuga, Indian society is ethically/morally/spiritually backwards because that is the nature of this age. This does not give license to be backwards and to go against Vedic dharma, but only explains that despite all efforts, this is a period of religious decline. Following the Kali Yuga, the age of Satya Yuga will rise once again following the appearance of the final avatar of Lord Vishnu (Kalki) will return to re-establish Dharmic principles at the end of this age. Aside from the general environment of the Kali Yuga (beginning with the disappearance of Lord Krishna), there were several waves of erosion, beginning with the appearance of Buddhism, followed by the rule of the Moghul empire and the Islamic invasion of India from the North, and more recently by the invasion of Christianity via the Portuguese, and later, the British empire with the corresponding economic subjugation of India that has reduced its citizens to uttery poverty for the most part. The last and final decay is due not to any one single external force, but rather the combined total force of westernization, ideology, and globalization, with its corresponding misleading backwards propaganda. This final assault will continue to cause a further decline through the end of the Kali Yuga until true Hinduism will become such a minority that the majority will fall into irreligiousness and adharma will be the norm. As he righly points about above, today's Hindus are in such a state that Dharma is no longer the priority; most are only concerned with their own selfish ends and care nothing for their neighbor, let alone society. Indeed non-Vedic foreign civilizations practice a few of the values of Hinduism, compared to Hindus themselves, as the scriptures declared would happen. At the final hour of the Kali Yuga, Lord Vishnu will reincarnate as a great soul (maha purusha) to restore the Satya Yuga, and reestablish the principles of Dharma. The exact dates and timespan of the Yugas are estimated elsewhere. Today's Hindus are indeed cowardly, because that is the nature of the age. That is how the scriptures said Hindus would be in this age of pure materialism where spiritual values have declined. Why is this so shocking? There are no valorous figures like Bhishma pitamaha, or Arjuna, or others any longer. Today, people don't speak up for fear of being considered "improper" or "offending" someone's sensibilities. In those days, they defended dharma in actual physical battle. Today, most are not equipped to intellectually battle a 2 year old, because our debating skills are piss poor and our logical skills would be barely sufficient to screw in a light bulb. This compounded by the fact that the scriptures are written in the highly precise language of sanskrit which has deep rich meaning, and have to be translated to piss poor english with bad translation to get even 1/100th of the original meaning. How can modern "Hindus" defend their glorious religion when they aren't even trained to understand the basic alphabets of its logic? How can you translate the deep wholistic logic of the original scriptures into the half-assed one-sided materialistic reductionistic logic of western hegemony? How can you defend an ancient faith/practice, when all your schools teach you your history through a euro-centric western-centric account of history full of biased facts that discount your rich history in its entirety, except for those tidbits that validate the christian world-view? Today's Indians spend all their time trying to Ape the West instead of blazing their own trails. It's funny, we even take pride in being the 2nd or 3rd to do something. We are like the women's movement that automatically places itself in 2nd place, by trying to prove themselves to be "as good as" men. Instead of owning 1st place by blazing trails, we waste time trying to be "as good as" the west. Both Feminism and Hinduism have the same basic problem; misguided objectives and incorrect self-perception based on what "others" have told them about themselves. We have a poverty of the soul that manifests itself in seeking money, rather than virtue. We have decided that the West with its focus on materialism is superior to our heritage, because "look at them, they seem to have done it right"; while discounting how "they" got there -- by looting, pillaging, enslaving, and plundering other societies to the point of genocide. Hinduism has not spread beyond the borders of India by violence, because the only wars we have ever truly fought were primarily in self defense. The majority of wars fought by "them" are of their own making in their greedy quest to expand their dominion over the world in the spirit of "manifest destiny" eradicating whole civilizations in their wake. None of the other so-called "religions" can hold a candle to the philosophical richness, experiential breadth and/or depth of Hinduism, yet we have to pay lip service to all of them in the name of "equality" as if they all have an equal amount to say about the universe. If we treat them all as "equals" it is the graciousness of our religion to accept all "levels" of faith to accomodate those who have yet to mature in their thought process; but to say that a course in pottery making is equivalent in depth and richness as a course in Quantum Mechanics is quite simply intellectually dishonest. Pottery making will certainly one day lead to Quantum Mechanical sophistication, but it doesn't mean they are equal in their technological sophistication or approximation of reality. Parents and generations prior haven't done the proper job of teaching their kids, because they themselves suffer from intellectual poverty and a slavish mentality of subjugation to their British masters. They steal our heritage and our practices, as clear in the examples of hot yoga, butt yoga, dumbass yoga, sitting yoga, standing yoga, downward dog yoga, etc. meanwhile we clap like content monkeys because we're happy that our white privileged bullies from school are now using our word "yoga". We don't stake a claim and say, "Hey stop stealing our crap because you just realized its cool now." It's sad I even saw one ignoramus claim that the West "took yoga and made it better." (face palm moment?). At the current rate, one day in the future the history books will claim that yoga was somehow invented in ancient greece; and Indians won't even be mentioned in the same chapter of that history book... So, yeah, are we cowards? I don't think I could be any more clear.
Thank You. I sincerely place my hands together for you and your comment. After i read your thoughts, i swear i know dharma will increase because we are all collective consciousness and your comment itself is a sign of change among humanity.. Bharatha Matha Ki Jai

Most thought provoking and articulate comment I've read so far. I agree with everything your saying (to a certain extent, mind you), and things do need to change but why don't you be an advocate and spread your views. Create a blog. A RUclips video channel. Go around enlightening everyone with your interpretation of Hinduism, which is refreshing and i think helps point towards the true meaning of life but still does not paint the whole picture. I apologise from before hand; I'm not going to answer as in depth as I really do want to, but would love to debate this with you sometime as I believe your thoughts are very close to my ideas. Let me just leave you with the following, hopefully you understand me in the way I have intended: I heard a fact the other day that apparently Hinduism is the fastest declining religion in the world. Apparently many are converting to Islam. Many are turning Christianity, and many turning atheist. And to be honest I don't see that as a completely bad thing thinking about it just now. Because if that new path allows them to find the true meaning of life, then I guess they will be Hindus after all. And Muslims, and Christians, and Atheists, and whatever not they are 'meant' to be. All religions seem to want self improvement right. That's basically what civilisation is as well, to be able to be civil towards one other for build a better future for all. The problem I have is when people say things like 'western people are the problem', or when actually they identify a problem and don't do anything about it. At the end of the day if you are smart enough to identify a problem, you are able to fix it. No matter how big or small. Period. People believe at the moment is the world there are what 10 religions? But more accurately there are probably as many religions in the world as their are people. All religions believe they are correct, but then surely there is no religious. It's just a way of life. Sometimes the best Hindus are actually westerners that go to India and become 'Hindus'. And sometimes the best Hindus are the English people that take time out of their lives and volunteer to build schools and fresh water supplies in Africa. Help a child in Sierra Leone to read. Yes maybe you are right things are in decline. But things are also changing. The world as whole is smaller, awareness is actually increasing, and social media is accelerating that. If Hindus believe that Vishnu avatar (sorry am I correct at this bit?! Too tired) will come and sort out this mess (can I mention that all religions again have this concept) then who's to say that is not you? Or me? Or the kid in Sierra or Leone? Maybe even an ex prime minister of England? Maybe he hasn't realised that he is the one yet? OK we know that we most likely aren't, but if we can make a difference why not do the best we can. You might prove my whole message wrong and actually be very active, but that would be good. But society as a whole need to start taking responsibility for the way the world is. As do each an every single one of us. After all, (paraphrasing a quote) 'Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, but we are powerful beyond measure'... And eventually as we shine, if we ever do, we give others the belief that they can shine too. We just need ideas on the table and to improve on it consistently. If government isn't good, you can't just stop a country running and abolish the government, you should join it, and change it from the inside. Let your own ideas influence others in a positive way. Just like cancer like in the video. If you know you have cancer, the first step of recovery is to decide you will fight it. You miss 100% of the shots you don't make, and all of the battles that you do not fight. Hopefully my sleep deprived mind made sense throughout.
+Manoj Parekh I agree with your POV, in general. Some things not so much. I won't go into too much back-and-forth here. You are right that there is a need for more intellectual kshatriyas (as coined by Rajiv Malhotra). There will come a time for me to speak up -- but that is not just yet. At this point, I must remain content to pick off 1-off skirmishes in the trenches of the comment section of other people's youtubes. Sometimes a good adversary is required to bring out the fight in you -- or to find the right reasons and rationale to fight -- if you understand my meaning. In other words, seeing the wrong conceptions of others, creates the vacuum required for me to come in and provide an appropriate response. It is difficult for me to yet formulate my thoughts in the absence of those wrong-headed notions. So the more people express their wrong notions, the more I am motivated to correct them. That's not to say I won't one day up my game beyond these trench skirmishes.
I'm glad you do because re-reading my post I realised I wasn't full circle in my thoughts at that point, but it was just a generalisation on my behalf anyways. Sleep deprivation is never good! :) I totally understand your point, and that sentiment also goes for opposition (which you already are using for your benefit, evidently). You obviously are more learned that me in Hinduism, and that is why I will not try to correctly quote any religious text on my own accord because it's better for people like you to do that. I understand and agree with where your coming from, but the only criticism I have of you is that throughout your reply it seems to me that you have implied that you already have the knowledge and inner capacity avaliable to answer all questions. And I'm not going to doubt that, you may do. But I don't think it's the correct mind set to have, and please disregard this comment if I am wrong as it is also for others to dwell over. The reason I believe it is incorrect is that at the end of the day knowledge is everything. We are not everything, we are but the medium. The vessel. We have the capacity to be able to hold and understand the knowledge, but it doesn't always just come to us, we have to be willing to learn. Not just learn from books and teachers, but from every aspect of the world. Meaning can be found in everything if we look hard enough. We just have to want to find it. I have and hopefully always do intend to have am open mind about most things, and even when I have the answer I'm willing to listen to other people rationale. Because I know as human beings we are never perfect, because there is no perfection. Yes Hinduism may be the perfect knowledge, as may be Islam, they may just be the same thing but from another perspective. But that's the thing. We can only learn to understand each other's ideas and our own misconceptions when when we are willing to understand the person as I whole. God is in everyone? Then surely everyone is God? They are there to learn and teach. As far as I'm concerned Yeah maybe the 'sacred holy' battles will actually happen, who knows, but we can't expect that to actually happen. Like science, we learn and develop. We change our own history. Even if it is written, we as the vessel can influence it to ensure it does not reach that far, that is the only reason it would be written, otherwise if it's all predetermined, then why write anything? Debate. Same concept as intellectual kshatriyas right? Live, love, laugh. But be willing to learn. Even from your own children, friends, or enemies. There might be method behind the madness afterall.
Nowadays Indians only wake up when some other countries invade India because of not castiesim but of liberalism, secularism, feminism..sad but it's the reality.
As hindus its amazing how well we take criticism. This would not have been possible with other religions. Most of them would have have flared up using abusive words. Thank you for showing us the direction. we will pass it on.
Look, brother, you can't critisize islam & can't leave that too! Nowadays, hindus are converting islam by marrying muslims! People accept islam though this religion forces you not to critisize or leave! Can anybody tell us why peole nowadays are choosing islam over hinduism if critisizing is so good???
We need more broad minded thinkers like him. The worst kind of slavery is mental slavery which happens in our society in the name of the religion which draws its own boundaries and refuses to look outside it. Pythagoras was Greek and Newton was a Englishman but we teach what they discovered in the name of Science in our schools. Why not allow the same kind of collaboration and discover about spiritual truths in life from various sources? The worst kind of idolatry is being wedded to one book and look for solutions in that book for every problem. The word 'religion' has to be freed from stone age thinking and redefined to suit modern secular pluralistic societies. We are brainwashed to uphold a particular idea of God and a specific way of worshiping him from early childhood. We need a new way of thinking which allows one to practice their faith without vilifying or putting down others. I like the word 'Spiritual Humanism' as Jay said in one of his talks. Sufi Islam and sayings of mystics like Rumi reflect this kind of spirituality which everyone can easily relate to in this modern world. It is better to be an atheist than a fanatic, no matter what your religion is. it is good to be born in a religion but a sin to die in one. You must free your spirit from all dogmas and beliefs and rely solely on your own life experiences.
Jesus washed and kissed the feet of his disciples. When a Brahmin or a priest could do that, then he could aspire to be the likes of the Buddha, Jesus of Nazareth or Swami Vivekananda. Only then a modern day nation would be inspired and nation building could begin.
Absolute truth.... Sir please spread this insight here. We are depleting our senses by the day. We need good communicators such as you to show us the light. Thank you for posting this here ... I hope many of us who are privileged to see your video here will keep this knowledge and spread this message to our community and children till hinduism is revived and rebooted. But nevertheless we do request your presence here too.
This talk brought tears to my eyes! How true, but I can also extend this example of the little beggar girl to the so called 'poor' countries, but still acknowleged as developed countries, where there's no end to corruption and looting in the higher classes, making the poor more poorer, with mean salaries.
Most of you don't know this .Our Hindus temples are charged taxes upto 23 to 25 percentage whereas the money coming from Churches n Mosques are tax free. This helps these minorities to set up educational institutions ,Hospitals ,Orphanages for society .This as well people like Lakhani might say that Hindus don't care for society unlike other religions .But before jumping into conclusion this point too needs to considered from Moghuls to till date our religious institutions are paying taxes while other religions institutions aren't paying anything.Dharmasya mulaa Arth as told in an Hymn
Guru Jay Lakhani,I am so happy to see that you are awakening people who I refer to as asleep(not knowing that consciousness lies within themselves and giving materialism a chance to be primary satisfaction in their lives). We obviously cannot hate these people whom I refer to as "asleep" since they have to go through a karmic cycle, but realizing that part of our karmic cycle is to teach them and make them realize GOD. You Guru, have shown people here on You tube what Hinduism really is. I thank you for bringing out your explanations in a very simple way in English using humble examples.
Salute you Mr. Jay Lakhani, need more people like you. Please talk more about why caste system and idea of caste needs to be demolish, tell people how a casteist cannot be a good Hindu or Hindu at all.
Dear Sir.. I am only half way thru your lecture and I feel compelled to write. Every body in India should listen to this and feel motivated to turn things around in their capacity so that we become a just and fair society, a model for the rest of the world to follow.
Jay sir, you're inspiring me heavily, the way you talk is very cool enhancing n coping with burning issues, I've subscribed your channel to be in touch with your teaching new videos, Bhagwan bless you, jai sanatan,
First of all Arab ruler was invited by some selfish kings for their ego, so that they could crush other fellow king for own supremacy...and thus Arabs got the glimpse of the Wealth Bharat had once....and that opened the doors for all invaders.....
If you really want to see Hinduism in India come to India and start teaching, what's the use of staying out side and speaking. There're so many great people doing service in India, our education system and society is destroyed, being an Indian it's our responsibility to change. I was very much impressed by your previous videos but now with this I lost it, don't why I am able to listen to you. But your talks are really good, if you want to change something be the one to initiate the change in India. Following Hinduism is really great only some people forgot it, living conditions are far different from UK to India, they looted us if I am correct. If they are so noble why can't they return our treasures. If I am wrong forgive me. I just wanted to tell don't ever scale down your Mother Land. Jai Hind.
Spoken like a true expat. Indian culture varies from region to region. In Bengal and even in NE India casteism is not rigorous, infact people realise their castes when giving govt exams thanks to the divide and rule Hindus policy of Indian govt. Many great reformers were born in Bengal from Tagore to Ram Mohan Roy to Paramhans were all born in Bengal. We fought fiercely for indipendence, for 200 years from 1757-1947. Yet Bengal was divided into communal lines. We never mistreated muslims and Tagore introduced Raksha bandhan between Hindu Muslims as brotherhood. In 1970's when East Pak was denied rights, Hindus joined their Muslim brothers against Pak tyranny. Pak army thanked the Hindus by massacring 2million Bengali Hindus in operation searchlight. Even after creation of Bangladesh our people who survived this were attacked and killed in public. Today the Bengali Hindus in Bangladesh are less than 9%. In 1940 they were 44%. Do tell me what wrong we did, that we deserve such a fate? We don't practice casteism so rigorously. We don't blame our fate on karma, but still we were persecuted when the world looked away.
Jay Lakhani saheb, it reminds me of a story [4:00-5:00 & 5:00-7:00] I heard from another religious person, i.e., a Muslim in this case when he visited Europe/UK: " There is NOT MANY MUSLIMs here but I can see ISLAM is here".We easterners give important to "religion" which only means doing the rituals and think that it will give us 'Moksha'/'swarg'/'jannat'/paradise. We don't give a damn about our deeds, which boils down to what you said: Westerners are the REAL practicing [the best practices] people whereas we are theoretical [preaching/reciting but not following that].As long as we mired in religiousism, we can't go anywhere. So, I think we must take out the "religion" from our lives and instead we must teach THE BEST HUMANITARIAN internationally accepted PRACTICES to our children to see a bright future. Thanks!
Dear, I am Hindu and wanna say; If killing an innocent makes you brave than sorry we are not that type of stuff. We love and respect everything. We see face of God in all and everything. But we are very dangerous in war.......don't believe! Know about the Gorkhali (HINDU). Hindu also live in Nepal.
Very true about caste system weakening India Hindus. The wrongful implementation of caste system , basing it on birth, started from 5th century and by 12th century Hindus were weak enough for Mhd Ghori to defeat and spread from 1192. Also true that Indians have not learnt their lessons. Even the idea of karma and rebirth got twisted so much that the pathetic conditions of lower cast was cunningly blamed on their early life misdeeds. Also Christians in western countries have in recent decades are becoming like Hindus. However the learning of Hindus have to come from within. We have thinkers thinking on these lines. Also today there are many Hindus giving free meals, donations. However we have to really feel for the downtroden and instead of giving away freebies, we need to teach him to support himeself.
Sometimes, oftentimes in fact, the truth hurts. If the UK is in fact helping people less fortunate, and India is not, well? What Mr. Lakhani says is true and we all have an opportunity to really grow and take a huge leap forward for humanity, for our Human Family! It's time to graduate and grow up, and Jay Lakhani speaks TRUTH!
Your each and every word is true, we Indian digging grave by our own hands. And our future generation will pay for it. Still, we have time to reform if not then doomsday is not far.
Mr Lakhani, in one sweeping statement, "English are practicing Hindus, more humane than the theoretical Indian Hindus," you have exposed your colonial hangover, and your self-loathing. In trying to distance yourself from the so called "Hindu perversions", you have proved yourself to be without dignity, without self-respect. Really sad.
Sir why others ruled Hindus it is because of caste. Only kshtriya has rights to be soldiers, king, warriors. So caste limited the strength of soldiers by giving it to only kshtriya not others.... That's why all others ruled over hindus.... This casteism is the main thing that destroyed our nation and so many shudras got converted to other religions because of shame full and inhuman acts of brahmins...... Most of them joined Islam when moghals ruled and they served them..... Same with British Era....
This man was speaking great wisdom. It is sad to read all the comments below. Even after such wise words you peolpe are still talking in terms of them and us when you talk about people and states in India. You still have a long way to go. Good luck.
I am a nonresident Indian and when I visit India I treat all Indians as equal. I made the servants eat with me. There is no class inequality as you are talking about. Today it is changing rapidly. We are sharing the same stuff that we are eating, not the left overs to our servant maids. You're still in the past as I see it.
My eyes are wet...coz I could not do anything for my nation... But my eyes are now opened up...I will do whatever I could do for my nation...Thank you sir...
I felt very pleased to see your confidence and listen ur words. With the Truth itself is a Real Hindu. And yes soon India will become dat place again system needs a repairment. Realisation becomes difficult in this system of negativity.
I truly hope that Mr. Modi will take heed of this man's words. Truth hurts but it's the truth, like it or not. If we fail to show compassion to our fellow beings, we will fail in spiritualism. God is not about selfishness and self centeredness. He shows love and compassion to all. Emulate his nature and experience his beauty when we start feeling his PRESENCE in our hearts. A breath taking experience.
Preaching is easy. Easy to sit in an ivory tower and judge someone. As for the 'Law of Karma', I see some major ass biting on the horizon for those who sit on foreign shores and comment about the dignity of mothers and sisters being compromised whilst they 'shudder' to even visit the place where the aforesaid mothers/sisters have to wake up before dawn for their daily ablutions. It takes very little to get into 'judgment' mode, and I find myself often amused by great thinkers who frequently slip in practicing what they preach.
Simple answer: Muslims were seasoned fighters. They knew war since Muhammad (pbuh) . They won many wars before reaching India. The hindus fought back and took alot of casualties . They needed support and were surprised. So they lost. No big deal everyone looses sometimes. Next, the British manipulated Indians. The divided them on the basis of religion and took over.
This is the right thing.i told my father same thing. But sadly no one of my family listen this word of mine. They prove me wrong. India need to revive itself and practice true from Santan dharma.
Because hindu temples funds are misused by the government and churches/mosques use their funds for missionaries/madarsas and conversion. Only gurudwara is feeding people so only gurudwaras are great.
This person has his own version of Hinduism and is ashamed of being Indian. The example of 3 year old girl was weird. First of all, very few believe in the law of karma these days here. And I have not come across any man saying let that girl starve. He has gone too far to the extent that he went on to malign India.
lack of knowledge of vedas is the main problem of lack of courage in hindus, destruction of vedic teaching system is the reason. there is still time for hindustan to change the face of india by following vedas, becauae only vedas provide pure knowledge of india and its system, which were misrepresented from time to time .
The concept of struggling for good deeds, (helping people, Charity, saving life), will take in nurg/jannah makes human brave. This man is intelligent but tries to present his concocted ideas rather facts.
Mr. Lakhani, Very nicely said. Basically I take that when Vedics became Hindus, that was the end of it. Vedism was dethroned into Hinduism, that was political. Vedics were Aryans but over the years they changed in India. The same Aryans changed to better in Europe (R1A and R1B). You started to make more sense from 7:00 as you started ref. to Vedism, Rig Veda and Varna System. Which turned into the Caste system in Hinduism. Thats why I dont like to call myself a Hindu. I practice vedism. Hindu is opposite of Vedism.
For those who do not understand what he is saying and are PROUD TO BE HINDUS. The lower caste, buddhist, sikhs, muslims, dalits and christians make up more than 50 % of India. The upper caste are patriotic but In time of invasion the others couldn't care less , You see they have always been sacrificed in order to build the defence system for the protection of the wealthy (the cowards). After they get taken over, they are only to glad to hand over their wealth to save their own asses. The upper caste are given a unique opportunity but instead use it for their own greed and realise that only when death knocks on their door (they would not admit that to you at that time ), The wheel of Karma not only turn forward but also backwards. Take care of your Parents, Grand parents and Great grand parents.
Truth is truth. I still fear to forget our old culture totally in no time. Which is already more than half is forgotten. We are already infected. It is our luck to have teachers like Mr. Lakhani to wake us all from deep sleep. People might call me fool when I have an urge to get out of the car and clean the road myself to remove dirt and garbage, our people have forgotten to keep cleanliness. In small towns and cities we still have this tradition to keep the house neat and clean and the surroundings first thing in the morning. Today we drink tea and read newspaper without brushing our teeth. Nobody can save us, but we ourselves. We are not only coward we are becoming unethical too, also disturbed by our surroundings. We have learnt to eat, drink and make merry.
Well this man is right! But! he addressed the mentality of small segment of people of india and he was not talking about whole indian people, just addressed few mentalities. Well the india was not fine even before 200 or 300 years, rather the invasion was from 1000 years back.
Definitely, he is correct on the point that was picked up for discussion but it went too far. There are many angles to how things stand today, be it, UK or India for that matter of fact, any country in the world.
What is a classical source for the negative claim that 'what you fail to do will wack you?' Karma is NOT driven by actions and is not tit-for-tat payback: those are effects which have already manifested. Karma is driven by our vasanas or impression from our actions but mainly from our desires. “He who, cherishing objects, desires them, is born again here and there through his desires.” - Mundaka Upanishad 3.2.2 (et al Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 1.3.10 & Katha Upanishad 1.2.9) That being said, we should help people so I am not defending an abuse of the doctrine.
There are young sadhus in the Himalayas who are very strong and disciplined. They have stated many times that if Bharatmata needs help they will willingly oblige. One such sadhu was Madho Das.
Hidus all over the world must learn and practice that when an opportunity presents itself to touch the life of another human being or another living thing in a positive way, don't loose it, because it may not come again because one has lost it and the next breath that we take for granted may not be there.
Ancient bharath had many small countries. Invaders took advantage of this and took sides and instigated fight between countries. We were broad minded and easily forgave our enemies when they got defeated. But the invaders were very cruel. The moment they won they just looted and plundered. This is a lesson learnt - In spite of all diversity we should stay united. Any enemy attacking or planning to attack should be decimated without any softness.
Don't blame outsiders. Caste system disintegrated n weakened India. Accept ur fault and correct urself. Christians try to practice what they preach.thats why Christian civilization have been successful.what upper caste practised on lower caste ,the same was practised upon them. By British East India company.
Sir I think u have seen the india 25 yrs back. Revise your knowledge specially rhe last one. If you want the change try to take the first step. In hindi there is a saying that gutter ko saff karnay k liye gutter may utarna padta hai. And yes the second part of equation aplya to everyone Who just speaks . Jai hind
Caste system came to India in the early 1900 during the British raj. The British brought it to us and carved it deep into our roots, now he is eulogising them. Before that it was only varnas. Before the British left, they not only divided us into religions but several castes and sub castes. That was their divide and rule policy which we fell for.
Sir, I have very respect for you. There is word in Ramayana, Rama says janani janma bhumish swargadapi gariyasi.as you said in above video that you don't want to come India. That's not right way. If something going wrong in our country we should not tell like it's not correct I don't want to come back. We healthy welcome person you home. We will be delightful if you could share your thoughts and sanatan dharma to us. Thank you

You missed a point. And non-Indians who are reading this:
India is totally different than your so called America.
I know.

This tells u are Ashamed to be just Sri Lankan. No self respect no dignity.
when you look into the writings of the Ancient foreign travelers about the culture and society of then India, they clearly wrote that India was the only country which was Highly Developed in the areas of Spirituality, Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Arts, Economics, Politics etc, the Kings and kingdoms of India were ruled under the Guidance of Enlightened Spiritual Masters (Gurus), that paved way for High Moral and Spiritual Societies, Ahimsa, Bhakthi, God Conciseness, Moksha became Ultimate Goals for people lived in this part of the land. we were never been as one nation but individual kingdoms in the subcontinent. When the Barbarians invaded they took advantage of small kingdoms and spiritually inclined society and exploited.
+sree ram Again you are blaming the outsiders. So far as you do that, you are giving away the control of your destiny to those outsiders, who are anyway going to exploit anything they can.
+sree ram Well said bro.

We have free meals for everybody (Hindus and nonhindus) 3 times a day in our temple. Nobody sleeps hungry in Vaikom (Kerala, India).
Kerala is civilized. He is referring to other parts of India.

Let me just leave you with the following, hopefully you understand me in the way I have intended:
I heard a fact the other day that apparently Hinduism is the fastest declining religion in the world.
I totally understand your point, and that sentiment also goes for opposition (which you already are using for your benefit, evidently).
Lakhani Saab why didn't I find you earlier

Loved this talk!

I watched his many videos and I find he thinks exactly same as I think about my religion. Sanatana dharma.
sir it was great to hear u . its for the first time when i faced a true hindu
Thanks!
Super wise words. Thanks a lot sir !
True about the British being kind these days.
India is truly a wounded civilization. We need to self introspect.
I admire your ability to state the plain truth, regardless of who it bothers.
Keep it up sir.

Guruji you have open my mind your concept is so clear
Mr Lakhani, in one sweeping statement, "English are practicing Hindus, more humane than the theoretical Indian Hindus," you have exposed your colonial hangover, and your self-loathing. In trying to distance yourself from the so called "Hindu perversions", you have proved yourself to be without dignity, without self-respect. Really sad.
it is true though
Sir why others ruled Hindus it is because of caste. Only kshtriya has rights to be soldiers, king, warriors. So caste limited the strength of soldiers by giving it to only kshtriya not others.... That's why all others ruled over hindus.... This casteism is the main thing that destroyed our nation and so many shudras got converted to other religions because of shame full and inhuman acts of brahmins...... Most of them joined Islam when moghals ruled and they served them..... Same with British Era....
very well said
This man was speaking great wisdom.
Excellent lecture.... Truly humble and human
He seems to b more learned than the learned ones, Bravo
My eyes are wet...coz I could not do anything for my nation...
But my eyes are now opened up...I will do whatever I could do for my nation...Thank you sir...
Absolutely fabulous explanation. Very insightful. I have learnt something more about karma today.
What a shame that spirituality cannot be turned into a dignified way of life.
I just wonder , with number of temples , Mosques , churches etc in india how could any body could starve even for a day
Because hindu temples funds are misused by the government and churches/mosques use their funds for missionaries/madarsas and conversion.
Only gurudwara is feeding people so only gurudwaras are great.
His example is completely wrong, check his English also, God is in charge not human being, no Hindu will take care of another Hindu, even in America.
This person has his own version of Hinduism and is ashamed of being Indian. The example of 3 year old girl was weird. First of all, very few believe in the law of karma these days here. And I have not come across any man saying let that girl starve. He has gone too far to the extent that he went on to malign India.
The example of 3 years girl is right to an extent....
absolutly true ...
cogent, perspicacious everything.. a large extent in laconic and valiant way..
evry hindu needs protagonist preacher like u...
Jay I wish you were the prime minister of India ,what a wonderful lesson to learn for the people.
Sir pls don't blame any religion. its mankind gone wrong. God bless u.
Superb! Really good way of seeing things.
lack of knowledge of vedas is the main problem of lack of courage in hindus, destruction of vedic teaching system is the reason. there is still time for hindustan to change the face of india by following vedas, becauae only vedas provide pure knowledge of india and its system, which were misrepresented from time to time .
Don't differentiate yourself on caste basis come together as hindu.
Really a nice answer.
Thanks, Bro, you did great, at least show us the real face of our society, and we should learn and take a big step to change the life of our people.
Thank you Jay sir.
Qs:Are we cowards ?
JL: No, but we are shallow..divided..and have lost our roots..
Qs: how to fix this ?
The only way is to return back to our Vedic roots and be aware of our culture instead of imitating the west.
ur fabulous. Sir u speak from ur heart.
Let Vishnus Shesh Naga protect him .. He is so wise. Proud to be a Hindu.Would love to meet him.
I'm christian. I believe ur a better chiristian than me. God bless you
Don't label your self with any religion, i was ortodox then ateist and now i'm human beliveing in love and spirituality not religions
John Raju
"Kindness is a language that deaf can hear, and a thing that blind can see." ~Mark Twain
Well this man is right! But! he addressed the mentality of small segment of people of india and he was not talking about whole indian people, just addressed few mentalities. Well the india was not fine even before 200 or 300 years, rather the invasion was from 1000 years back.
That is why Modi gave 12000 Rs for making Toilets
So that human dignity is not compromised
Definitely, he is correct on the point that was picked up for discussion but it went too far. There are many angles to how things stand today, be it, UK or India for that matter of fact, any country in the world.
I 1st saw you on bbc sir from that Time till now I'm your fan and will also in future sir🙏
Well said, Sir!! Hope India reopen their eyes
What is a classical source for the negative claim that 'what you fail to do will wack you?' Karma is NOT driven by actions and is not tit-for-tat payback: those are effects which have already manifested. Karma is driven by our vasanas or impression from our actions but mainly from our desires. “He who, cherishing objects, desires them, is born again here and there through his desires.”
- Mundaka Upanishad 3.2.2 (et al Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 1.3.10 & Katha Upanishad 1.2.9)
That being said, we should help people so I am not defending an abuse of the doctrine.
There are young sadhus in the Himalayas who are very strong and disciplined. They have stated many times that if Bharatmata needs help they will willingly oblige. One such sadhu was Madho Das.
Absolute truth! Thank you Sir!
Great speech, Karma comes back, completing a circle
Wonderful definition ❤️💐🙏
And yes the second part of equation aplya to everyone
Who just speaks .
Jai hind
Such profound wisdom
Very good analysis
Caste system came to India in the early 1900 during the British raj. The British brought it to us and carved it deep into our roots, now he is eulogising them.
Before that it was only varnas. Before the British left, they not only divided us into religions but several castes and sub castes. That was their divide and rule policy which we fell for.
Love that intro music sounds nice
Sir, I have very respect for you. There is word in Ramayana, Rama says janani janma bhumish swargadapi gariyasi.as you said in above video that you don't want to come India. That's not right way. If something going wrong in our country we should not tell like it's not correct I don't want to come back. We healthy welcome person you home. All won't be having spirituality inbuilt and all are not become guru. We could see lot of knowledge, experience in you. We will be delightful if you could share your thoughts and sanatan dharma to us.
Thank you
5:06 law of karma > you have to face the consequence of what you do and also what you failed to
2nd law is really important
7:10 division of labour based on their quality,
We should emphasis on practicing true hinduism.. plz dont go away face it
