I would be on the phone to my lawyer about my husband using my credit card without my permission plus taking the kids away (out of state?) without my permission! He should be liable for the entire 10k in charges and then I would be on the phone to the credit card company to let them know he used it without my permission and to close the card or reverse the charges! What an SOB! The girlfriend has no business being there without your permission, so I’d say perhaps we are missing information in this tea!!!!!🤯
I agree 100%! Still married, this is so inappropriate! He’s more than welcome to start dating but I think he needs to leave the kids out of it and the money he’s using is 1/2 hers. Not ok at all.
I worked at Capital One, What most people dont understand is based off what info was giving, There would be nothing to do since they are sill married, in most states if you are married then he wouldn't've need your permission to use your cards. Also if they are married then he would need permission to take the kids.
It's sad but I have seen so many people, max out the other persons card and then leave them, plus when you get divorced it takes money, I have had to tell so many people that they couldn't've do anything since they are still married. That they would have to bring it up when they get divorced and hope the judge makes him pay it back.
As a divorced person, lawyers are expensive. This couple may not be at that stage yet if they've just separated. Luckily, we did mediation and agreed on almost everything. If a card is in both of your names, you're liable for half that debt. I would close all shared accounts immediately. You can then assess the debt repayment. If there is no agreement in place about travel, I'm not sure she can legally stop him. Personally, I would let this go and travel to the destination as well, if I could. And also seek legal advice immediately re: custody and finances.
The rules are different in every state but she needs immediate legal advise. I had myself taken off our shared accounts and established my own credit.

Hi Tyler & Todd. In the case of the stolen jewellery, the police should be involved, the buyer would return the necklace to the auction house because it is classed as stolen property, the auction house reimburses him and the police deal with the thief and the courts should ensure that all monies are paid back including costs. This is what would happen in the UK but Canada and the US would be different.
My smutty mind is giggling the euphemism of a pearl necklace lol.

@@annelynk7944The issue is not about going, but rather, it’s about not telling their mother. The father had to have told them not to say anything because no kid could/would keep that a secret on their own. But agreeing to keep such a thing a secret from their mother is not good.
Always have one trusted friend that knows where your sin bin is located. Give that person a key to your house and tell them if you die in a car crash immediately go to the house, get the sin bin, and throw it away. LOL (Of course your friend might keep a few items for themselves. LOL)

I would find the cousin situation icky as well. However, it's actually not illegal in Canada, and 19 US states, for 1st cousins to marry. It's a bigger moral issue that they are cheating on their respective partners. I think the brothers should talk to their cousins and let them know they know, but not wreck a family gathering.
it sounds like at least one of the cousins is a child of one of the 2 adopted kids - or possibly a step-child - so they aren't related by blood - so no physical incest (but possibly emotional type of incest)....but they should definitely address the people in the relationship FIRST to call out why they are cheating on their partners before they bring it to the family at large.
However, morally questionable, the smart thing to do is keep your sticky beaks out of it. Nobody is going to thank you for a) being a snitch, b) ruining Christmas, c) possibly blowing up two families - divorces, traumatised kids, years of acrimony, etc, d) possibly creating a massive family rift, e) running the risk of very ugly retribution/revenge from the couple you expose. Why give yourself and everyone else all that grief? What do you actually gain, other than a smug sense of superiority?!

12:31 I faced a similar situation and addressed it in my 20s. I made it clear that I wouldn't be attending religious ceremonies or church during Christmas visits. While I respect your religious beliefs and am grateful for the Christian upbringing that shaped my moral character, especially in treating others with love and respect, I no longer participate in those practices. My parents understood and accepted my decision, as it was necessary for me to feel comfortable coming home.
About the Pearl neckless, Once the amount of the theft goes above a certain point if you have gone to the police about it there would be no way for you to stop what's going to happen The state would automatically start proceedings, at this point it's no longer a civil matter but a felony (remember she did it to herself and I personally would have NO pity for her)
Not entirely true - on New Year’s Eve two lads decided to try and siphon the oil out of my tank that heated my home - they cracked the line causing 800 gallons of oil to seep in the ground - while relocating for clean up to happen (my sister and her daughter lived with me and rented part of my home my insurance paid to relocate them as well) anyway I got insurance checks in the mail that was to pay the companies that were doing clean up - while I was away for a week my sister broke into my home got the mail
Keys (probably intending just to get her mail though she did steal stuff from my home as well) (manager of the clean up crew was given strict instructions to let NO one in my home while I was away as he had the key to let her in) she stole the checks and fordged my signature and cashed all the checks - the insurance company replaced the checks and told me If I wanted to press charges that was up to me to move forward with! Was over $5k this was 15 years ago! Needless to say my family has been severely broken even more than it was ever since! 😢 🤦♀️ there is sooo much more tea to be spilled on this story - maybe one day I’ll write in and we can share lots and lots of tea! 😅

The pearl necklace cup of tea....I would not say anything to the stealing sister ...have them come over for Christmas as normal and be wearing the necklace sitting down for Christmas dinner...tell the story about going to the police..and it was stolen. But they found it at auction house....but everything will be ok the police say they have a lead on who stole it.....watch her squirm

Oh man, I’d phone up the credit card and cancel the flight payments and if it had already gone through, I’d phone up the flight agency and cancel the tickets! Seriously, that guy is taking the biscuit! Poor woman and honestly those kids won’t learn any lessons on how to be good adults by being “bought” all the time. Wonder whether the girlfriend realises what he is really like???!!
My brother's wife is a shopaholic and buys things but never wears and puts them in the giant garbage bags and puts them in the attic or sales them in garage sells. He went through everything in the house and found 9 credit cards just for Macy's. Her name in different ways. He made her cancel all of them and he cut them up.

Your story about Squirrel reminded me of my cat Pooky, who died a long time ago now. At Christmas I would put all the presents in a bin bag and shut them in a cupboard to stop the kids finding them. One Christmas Eve, I got the bag out to put the presents around the tree and found that all Pooky's presents had been scratched and chewed or ripped open. He had got into the cupboard, climbed into the bin bag and worked out which presents were his. The rest of the presents were untouched.

Funny side story. My youngest daughter knew about my new husband and mines " kinky" life ( not all the details obviously) but enough. And to be funny got me a Christmas gift of a ball gag a few years ago. We were at my family's Christmas, everyone opening gifts one at a time... I honestly thought it was hysterical. My mom just rolled her eyes and my grandmother (90 at the time) had no idea what it was. 😂

I can sympathize with the person whose SO gave away presents they had given. I love finding quirky presents for people; my partner hates “stuff”. For her 60th birthday, she was adamant that she receive no presents. “We have enough crap in the house. If I need something I would rather buy it myself.” So I went through catalogs and magazines and cut out pictures of things that I would have purchased…60 items in total. I glued each picture to a piece of card stock, origami folded shut and tied with a ribbon bow. I accompanied the 60 “gifts” with a humorous poem about satisfying my urge to shop and honoring her need to have a clutter-free home. Win win. Thanks for the tea. Love you guys,

It's funny that you talked about the big family. I come from a big family, my parents had been married for 67 years I have 9 brothers and 3 sisters. I have 40 nephews and niece's. I also have 63 great nephews and niece's. And 4 great great nephews and niece's. My brothers and sisters are from the same parent. But I could never host a Christmas party for all of them. We have a family reunion every year, but we rent a place to have it and we all pay for it. We all get along, but on holidays I cook a meal for 3 of my brothers and never invite anyone else. Love you guys have a safe and merry Christmas with your family.

About the regifting. When you gift someone something, it’s theirs to do with what they want. You gave it to them. It’s theirs!

This tea was friggin' crazy. I had to watch it in three sections because of the Holiday stuff. I could not believe some of these and what a mess. However, I had to laugh and related with Todd 100%, people finding your basket of toys if you die. My friends have instructions on how to get them out of my house before the kids come through. LOL! We have a pact. I would die if they found them, even if I were dead, I would be embarrassed and would die all over again.
